An amazing thing about Hammer in Sunbreak is that all playstyles seems to be equally as effective as each other, so you can discard Impact Crater if you want! Seething Bazel itself is SO MUCH better to fight than normal Goose, in my opinion.
Courage (basically Valour Style) from MHGU is a very fun style as you can see, and learning how to juggle the staggers for Goose is paramount to getting a good time in.
We'll have a breakdown of this run coming soon, enjoy! x

Are you going to release MH1 part 2 after this breakdown? Or do you plan to speedrun Lucent Narga or other Sunbreak monsters first?

I have literally never seen hammer played better. I main hammer and am ashamed of my performances compared to this lol. I guess all that counts is if the monster dies but like... damn this was beautiful

I mean, he’s still spamming wirebugs. Just not in the form of impact crater and its torturously slow cooldown

oh my goodness this was so smooth. this has convinced me to scrap impact crater ahah. i do want to ask if its a waste of time trying to gem in slugger and just go for damage! it seems you were getting plenty of KOs without it!

Honestly I wouldn’t have minded a point or two, it makes things a lot more comfy if you’re going for the head mostly (: worth dropping a point of attack or two if you’re not massively minmaxxing, or if you rolled a lv4 on Quiro!

Hi. I noticed that on downs, you let the valor combo play out, and chained it into the powerup if possible. How does that combo compare to Stance Switch -> Spinning Bludgeon -> Big Bang Finisher? I noticed that this was a semi-elemental build. Would the multi-attack silkbind proc on the Spinning Bludgeon?

Trouble is, most of the time if I were to go for that combo, I’d end in yellow as Bazel was getting back up, meaning I wouldn’t have the time to go back to blue and dodge the roar without a delay, so I prefer to remain in blue (: honestly I think there could be more improvement if I took something like Aurora’s hammer and leant more into element and courage, so I may try that in future. Hope that helps!

I swear, Capcom when above and beyond with buffing/reworking Hammer in Sunbreak. Amazing run! So, is the Goss Harag Hammer really the best pick for an Ice Hammer here?

id assume Goss Harag is the best mixture of raw damage and element? Maybe just a comfort pick.

It's a good one, but Somnacanth and the Pyrkeite (base Ice tree I think?) can also perform REALLY well if you lean more into element, it's honestly very close between them! I chose Goss for easier access to purple and having more raw, might try this again with a different hammer (:

Well I guess you don't really need Impact Crater if 80% of a monsters body is a giant hitzone
