Nini Bear887 Yeah they all trained together and if I remember correctly Timoteo was rumored to debut with Taemin in SHINee but it didn’t happen and later with Kai in EXO but that also didn’t happen so afterwards he left SM. It’s sad but at least they’re still best friends and have a group of friends where they can go on vacation together 😊

Even when Taemin already be a big star, he didn't even forget his friends 😢

Taeminnie barely cried when they won Daesang! Seeing him cry for his good friend made me cry in an instant. Our Taembaby crying means he must have really felt bad that his friend Timoteo isnt getting the recognizition for his talent and hardwork. Taemin must have felt that he hasnt done enough to help him. Dont cry Taembaby, Timoteo loves you and is thankful for you.

One of the best Taemin moments. I went from tears in my eyes struggling to hold back the emotion to laughing out loud in that split second. But seriously, what a strong friendship they have, that they can be completely honest and objective in their professional lives while still cheering each other on, and that honesty IS them cheering each other on and pushing each other to be their best. I could only dream of having a friendship like Taemin and Timoteo have!

Ruby Rz I agree. The fact that Taemin was the mentor in this program might have helped him to be casted. I'm not a fan of Hotshot but it's sad seeing them like that. I mean Jimin, Kai, Taemin are among the most successful idols nowdays, therefore seeing your friends achieving that goal must be very hard. Also judging his friend must be very unpleasant and uncomfortable for Taeminnie as well

I remember Taemin once said in an interview years ago that to be able to achieve his goal, he sacrificed his friends and chose his career to be an idol that makes him cry in the interview, he really loves his friends and knows their struggles that makes him sad and cry.

He felt sad since it was his best friend. But in the end when it comes to feedback, without any second thought he gave it away straight forward. That is the real professionalism. He didn't gave any false hopes to his friend however gave honest feedback. I once again realised by watching taemin that whatever we do in our lives,we need to give our 100% efforts then we can become successful. Definitely, taemin represented that.

I think he’s crying because he knows both of them probably worked just as hard and it is just that tad bit of luck that made such a difference in their careers. And knowing that his friend is still working on his dream no matter what..... phew~~~~ it’s so heartbreaking...

Taemin has a big heart. He really has. Even though he became one of Korea's greatest artist, he never fails to forget his friends who was with him ever since. I think the reason why he cried when he saw Moonkyu on stage was because he remembered the hardships and failures of his friend. He was there when Moonkyu had a hard time in some things. Moonkyu was a former trainee of SM ENTERTAINMENT and was supposed to debut with EXO but for some reasons he left the agency and created his own name. He is great friends with Kai and Taemin. I love this side of Lee Taemin. Really. I cried when I heard his message for his friend. ❤❤❤❤

I really admire Taemin.. He didn't forgot to comment something on the other guy.. I easily cry when one of my faves cried, he don't usually cry but he still cried, Timoteo is really important on his life.

I felt Taemin's emotion. That's a genuine concern for a friend. The entertainment industry is really tough, only a few people made it to stardom, that's a sad truth but keep fighting!

Taemin rarely cries. And when I saw this clip few years ago. I got really shock, shawols knew timoteo and how close he is to taemin. We understand why he cried like that. He always promotes hotshot since their debut. I am happy and proud how taemin treasures his friends. He is such a good friend. He is always there and help them as much as he could. His tears were very pure. You can tell how important timo to him. I really hope that timoteo will be very very successful someday like his friends. Hwaiting!!!

He's also a very successful solo artist and arguably one of the top 3 dancers in k-pop history. He is amazingly popular and hard-working, incredibly talented, and also very sensitive and supportive towards his friends and loved ones. His usual personality is very shy, but savage, and he usually makes everything into a joke, so seeing him cry is hard.

It's not that these idols aren't talented, it's their companies who don't go the extra miles for them. Which is sad.

Ok. I just discovered Taemin it has been like 3 days... I have known kpop for 8 years... I have slept under a rock..Just how in the world is someone so talented and by that i mean that he is with no doupt the best dancer in kpop. I had to look for only one MV to prove that to myself. And not only that,- the visuals, the VOICE it's so seductive and AMAZING. You know when you watch someone and you dont blink and breathe. I am so happy that people are appreciating him. Maybe he is not no the most mainstream artist in the world but people will recognize his talent by time like I did after all this years. And yes I know he is big in Korea, and i believe that each and every one of those idols no matter how big they are feel the same way like i do, and can only put a red carpet in front of him. They are very jealous of his talent, angry that their favorite idols cannot surpass Taemin. They know he's a great dancer and vocalist and an art maker, not just an artisan who writes popular, ordinary songs that will be forgotten in a year 1-2

There are a lot of toxic people who hate bright, kind and talented people. They want to destroy, it gives them pleasure. They don’t seem so from life, they are insignificant, realizing that they hurt such a great artist. these are people with a personality disorder: narcissists, psychopaths, sociopaths, borderline disorder, abusers, manipulators. Such people always poison and bring other people to depression.

You can see how proud taemin is for his friend through his eyes.

i can totally understand Timoteo. you have to work so hard for your dream on becoming singer, especially in k-pop music industry, and i think reason why Taemin couldn't hold his tears was because he knows how hard it is to reach it, and he genuinely wanted his friend to reach it with him. these videos always makes me emotional

I feel so bad for Teamin when he keeps on saying he usually doesn't cry. You don't have to justify yourself! We know you can keep your emotions in very well but sometimes they are just too much. It's human!

Taemin never mentioned anything about him before the performance so as not to jeopardize, that is being professional...and his reaction and words of comfort for his friend was really touching that my tears went rolling without even knowing😊

Himani Chand As far as I know (could be wrong) Sungwoon got into the squad before Jimin. Only Kai, Timoteo and Taemin knew each other since childhood and Sungwoon got to know them through Timoteo.

I was literally in tears seeing Timoteo perform Kai's song and performing it in front of Taemin. Their friendship is truly genuine and I am so happy that they are really good friends until now.

it hurts, even more, to know that he never cries like this (at least not in front of people/cameras), he usually can contain himself and is really good at controlling his emotions. This was a couple days before Kim Jonghyun's death. I don't want to imagine how much he must've cried then.

shafaq kamran He wasn't born with a pretty face like Taemin and Kai. It's cruel but is half way to success sadly. I think they style him too badly. He will never work with this styling. His looks would look better with more "troubled rebel skinny byunshin" look. Like ripped jeans, wife beaters, shorter and messy hair with some "troublemaker" vibes. He is not pretty. Sad to say that but this differs him from his friends and he needs to find his best looks and angles (and stop smoking because it's noticeable) to favor him better. There is no charisma in his performances too. He "just" dance well. but looks totally without personality. I don't know if it's because he is insecure but there is youtube dance covers of Kokobop (in this case) far much better than his performance. Idols are brands. Walking brands. Sad but that's what it is. Unless you're from Bangtan, you can't count with a sea of teenagers looking at you as good looking even if you're not pretty.

Taemin showed what being a true friend really is....that he wants his friends to also succeed like he did and that it pains him when they don't.
