Mybest friend Noah passed away yesterday. I always thought we'd outlive our parents. He was a good friend for 19 years, I'll never forget him. He will always be my bestfriend. I'm trying not to cry from typing this. Gotta stay strong.

Yeah... And when she sings, you'll visit me in my sleep. 😓 That really happened to me several times. It's incredible how much alive someone feels to you even after they're long gone. My best friend passed away February 2019 and these lyrics break my heart everytime, cause still I miss him and I can't seem to grasp he's gone. Still can't really believe it. It was a weird goodbye. Not explained , not expected and didn't get to say goodbye. To this day I don't know where they buried him. Memories are all that I have and music to get by. Treasure your loved ones, because before you know it, they're gone. Pink captured this mourning exquisitely in this track. God bless you all. Amen. 🙏🍀🌺

@@missparsley3202 I don't think anyone is ever prepared for grief and mourning. And you never recover from the loss of loved ones. You learn to survive with their absense there as a wound that never truly heals. And that is why you listen to songs like this and all you can do is cry. I lost my dad recently; I had never felt pain and sadness like this before.

Liked this song as a child and I heard it again today, after awhile. Brought tears because our friend circle is small, however we lost a friend to suicide on mother's day this year. He was like an uncle to my friends son and my son as well. Well always cherish those memories the past few years and we love and miss him alot ♥️

Maybe the composer originally didn't had this situation in mind, but this lyrics remind me of my mother. "Yeah yeah I'll keep you locked in my head Until we meet again Until we Until we meet again And I won't forget you my friend What happened" Albanete, 59 years. Passed away in february 2021. Died from covid 19. She was the strongest person that I ever knew. She was the strongest part of my life. I have to keep moving on, carrying what she left for me - thinking what would make her proud of me.

The last verse hit me. So damn hard. Can’t believe I never paid more attention to the lyrics. It almost made me cry

I've lost a friend three years ago. He was good like an angel, but after a difficult period he decided to end his life...and now I miss him very much.

God this breaks my heart...I miss you woman, wishing things were different.

my best friend of 16 years is now hooked on drugs. she was more than a friend she was my family. she knows everything about me and i know her, she was the only one ive ever had there through everything ive ever been through and we held each other up through the years. i have tried helping her many times but she won't take my help nor does she want it. she isnt even the same person anymore she doesn't even know what is going on around her. it breaks my heart to see her like this and feel helpless because i know theres nothing i can do to save her unless shes willing to take help but the drugs shes taking are ones i know have a high OD rate and im scared everyday that i will be told shes gone i still check on her. i just know that the person she was is no longer there. this song reminds me of her so much

I listened to this song a few years ago and exactly 3 years after listening to this I lost my dad. It broke me soooo much so I sang him this song.

When I first heard it I didn’t know the meaning but all these years later I totally get it

For me, this song has helped me get through my husband's infidelity. To me, it's talking about my husband, someone who vowed to be faithful but in the end i found out he wasnt. I remember one of his people telling me that he he was no good and was out cheating on me. I didn't want to believe it because i truly trusted my husband. But they new better than me and saw things I couldn't belcause i was blinded by love. Now I see that my husband is not the person I thought I knew, someone trustworthy, honest, and loving. I was in love with that person but that person died a long time ago. That person was my best friend and the one i'll forever love and cherish. Now i must mourn them 💔

This song can describe my feelings of sadness, even unpredictably.

I have a bit of a different relationship with this song. I got trapped in an abusive relationship. All of my friends and family were trying desperately to get me out and to show me the destructive situation that I was in. But he was my world. I was drowning. I was willing to defend him and our relationship to the death and that's almost what it came to. For years I heard this song as a story of loss. But now I hear it as a story of freedom. Thank God/ess that he's gone. They knew better.
