The song is about being overwhelmed with life but in the end finding a way to deal with it. Here is your lesson on The Warning- The Warning are 3 sisters from Monterey, Mexico. Daniella (Dany) born Jan 30th, 2000, Paulina (Pau) born Feb 5th, 2002, and Alejandra (Ale´) born Dec 13th, 2004 grew up watching and listening to rock and rock concerts with their parents. They started in music early when Dany and Pau were enrolled in music initiation class at ages 5 and 3 respectively. When she was old enough Ale’ learned the same things. They also took classical piano lessons. When Dany was about 7 their dad bought them the video game Rock Band, and everything changed- they fell in love with rock music and performing on stage. When Dany was 8 her dad asked her if she wanted to take up another instrument (along with piano). She chose the guitar. Later Pau chose the drums and Ale´ chose the bass. Ale had only been playing bass (at 7 years old) for about a month when they, as a group, started playing and recording songs. In 2014 when they were 14, 12, and 9 years old they created a video for their grandparents to see how they had progressed in their music. The video was too big to just email so their dad loaded it on KZread. That video was a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman and it went viral. To date it has well over 23 million views and has gotten praise from Metallica and many other notable bands. The girls were completely caught off guard by this and had to make a decision. They quit school and began homeschooling as they got very serious about their music. In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was an exploratory group of eclectic original songs designed to sort out their style. Their Enter Sandman video was also noticed by Ellen DeGeneres, and they made their US TV debut on The Ellen Show in 2015. The girls were trying to raise money to attend the 5-week classes at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Ellen found this out and she (and Target) presented each of the girls with a $10k check to attend those classes. Because Ale´ was only 10 years old she had to get a special exemption to attend. She was in classes with 14 and 15 year old kids. Harmonix, the makers of the Rock Band video game, also noticed the girls and invited them (while in Boston) to come to tour their facilities. While there they got to preview the new soon-to-be-released Rock Band version IV and were completely floored to see that their song Free Falling (from their EP Escape the Mind) was in the game! They started their band because of the Rock Band video game so having their song in the game was amazing to them. In 2016 (at the ages of 15, 13, and 11 years old) they were invited to participate in a Ted X talk at the University of Nevada where they told their story. They played 3 great songs and wowed the crowd. They were such a hit that they were invited back in 2017 where they talked about producing and launching their first complete LP called XXI Century Blood. They played 3 original songs from that album and wowed the crowd again. In 2018 they released their 2nd album Queen of the Murder Scene- a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey thru unrequited love- from love, to infatuation, to obsession, to murder, to remorse. It is an amazing album and every song is performed with great passion. In 2019 this album was nominated for the Independent Music Awards. Their Mexican critics called them Cultural Traitors because they did not sing in Spanish/did not sing the traditional Spanish tunes. The Warning’s response was the song Narcissista. The song says, “You say you pray for us, but we don’t see much praying”, and “you don’t know us”, and “you just talk to talk”, and basically tells those critics to Kiss Off! It was purposely written/sung in Spanish to make sure those critics understood every word. You can understand why Pau sung it with so much passion! The Warning had been independent but in 2020, after 7 months of negotiations to keep much of their independence, signed with Lava/Republic records. At the time they were 20, 18, and 15 years old. Dany is an accomplished guitar player and sings lead most of the time. Pau is a world-class drummer and sings backup and lead (lead about 25% of the time). Ale´ is an amazing bass player and sings backup and lead when necessary (a bit shy about singing lead). All 3 play keyboards as needed and all 3 can jump in to cover singing lead in any song when needed. One other addition. I got to see THEM. There was a warmup band for them ( Magg Dylan) in Richmond VA. (Canal Club) the night after they did a Portsmouth concet.( Halestorm. The Pretty Reckless, them and Little Czar.) They sound as good live pluss their energy. Awesome. 16 songs for $26. Bet that doesn't last long. They were in Colorado the next day. Unfortunately Danny started to collapse during the show. ( dehydration and altitude sickness). They are back touring with Halestorm and The Warning will do a few dates in Canada Nov. 2022.

@@Cheezyxyz look at their complete tour calendar. Not only did they tour with Halestorm, but did other dates like Richmond and Colorado. Portsmouth wss the last With Halestorm till i think till Sep. Or October. back to Mexico for a couple of dates. Look up there solo full concerts in Mexico. You will see what they do if they have the stage for themselves. Complete with intermission (wardrobe change and all). In Canada in Nov. I think then a break (well. Back to Mexico. Will probably do some song word during the break) before covid shut down their first tour. I think they were planning some Europe dates. I love everything about those girls. I pray they or others don't burn them out. It needs to remain fun and fulfilling. They are on "Rock Band", but just as impressive is that others are already Covering there songs. Kids as well as old farts.🤣

I’m 64 years old and haven’t been stirred to attend a rock concert in more than 40 years… got my tickets for Nov8 in Vancouver.

You are in for a ride. They have no mediocre songs, everything about them is the real deal. They will be absolutely huge very shortly. This is one of the first songs I heard and I was hooked, spent the next several weeks listening to their entire catalog. Such amazing songwriting from such young people. You won’t be disappointed. You’ve already got plenty of suggestions but I’d suggest Evolve.

All of The Warning's song have meaningful lyrics. This song is one of sadness but also of strength. "This is where I'll stay, comfortably in pain." They are fearless, tackling topics such as domestic violence, social media manipulation, the faults of Gen Z, the dangers of artificial intelligence, and, in their concept album _Queen of the Murder Scene,_ murder and psychosis.

Hi Cheezy! You just watched the present and future of Rock! These amazing sisters are the best new band I have come across in decades. Choke is a good song, but far their best. It is s the first single off their latest album Error! You have gotten many great suggestions already, so I won't overwhelm you. Just to say, they have an EP and 3 full albums of originals out already, and not a bad song in the bunch, and I don't say that lightly. Not only that, but I have seen them live three times this year and they are AMAZING! Future Legends!

TedX talk from 2017. I love the groove second half of Survive. Evolve. Both the official music video and the live studio version are really good. One of the best rock songs I have heard in 30 years. First their teenage cover of Enter Sandman, then the rewrite they did with Alessia Cara. Dust to Dust (my favorite is from Lunario) Martirio (the official music video is well done) Narcisista (the live one from Foro Didi) Others will chime in with their favorites as well. @@Cheezyxyz you should check out some Japanese metal. They have TONS of amazing all girl bands. Japanese women made it feminine and glamorous and sometimes sexy to play metal. They made young girls want to do it. I recommend Nemophila 'Dissension' to start. They just played Aftershock. There were two all girl Japanese rock/metal bands there this year. There had only been two Japanese bands in the history. The other was Band-Maid who I am seeing on Wednesday in Seattle. Great also. If you react to Band-Maid do any official live video. Most people see Babymetal first. And Babymetal is great. But they are very divisive. Either your favorite or your least favorite.

Just released their third album entitled 'Error". Every song is fantastic. Just discovered these young women early this year. Have seen them live 3 times. Currently touring with Halestorm. Fantastic musicians, amazing song writers and music arrangers, and absolutely wonderful people. They treat their fans like family and its reciprocated. TWA US Southwest Chapter reporting in. The Warning was a COVID find for me. I have been looking for new rock that excites and engages me since the early 90s. These ladies are the first in more than 20 years to grab my attention. I am hooked. Saw them twice this year on their Mayday tour. They are as good or better live than they are on the record. Amazing wall of sound for only three pieces. I feel that they fit right at the intersection of rock, metal, and punk. Since they pull from many genres, you will find that there is no one favorite song among The Warning Army. Each track impacts us differently. Some of my least favorites are favorites of others. I think that points to the quality of their writing and composition. Their latest album 'Error' really does not have any throwaway tracks. Where to go next? Here was my path. TedX talk from 2017. Imagine, already being a big fan of this band...March of 2020 rolls in, the pandemic overwhelms everything and the girls have to shut down. The Warning has released three full length albums with own material. 1: XXICB (Twenty first century Blood) 2: QOTMS (Queen of the Murder Scene) 3: Error The sound has become heavier per album but all songs are good on all albums If you do some songs from their album Error you might have to deal with UMG temporarily blocking as TW are signed to Lava Records that is under UMG. The previous two albums typically goes through easier. QOTMS is best to react to songs in order from their live concert at Lunario CDMX as it is a musical dark story.

The amazing thing is when you realize that the bass player is 17 in this video. She just turned 18 in December of 2022. I was lucky to see them live on tour with Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless and Lilith Czar. These young ladies are Amazing live! The bass was ear shattering! I Hope their next album is as good as this one! 😁

I've been watching your reactions thus far, and I saw that you watched The Warning "Tidal Rising" and enjoyed the girls' background information provided in it. Since you enjoyed it (as I did!), I recommend watching the six-part "Mayday In The Making", which is a documentary not only chronicling the making of the EP of the same name from which this song comes, but also documents MUCH MORE of the beginning of the girls' musical journey through to the present! The PARENTS, manager, record producer, engineer and record company (Lava/Republic) exec/A&R personnel all take part in it. It's simply FASCINATING! As a decades-long recording/performing drummer/musician, I can't get enough of behind-the-scenes content, a lot of which I can directly relate. So, please check it out! There are two other albums XXI Century Blood released in 2017 and Queen of the Murder Scene released in 2018. Their 2015 release of an EP was their first music production and consisted of 6 songs in very different genres, at the time they were 15, 13, and 10 years old. Many favorite songs to mention so I'll leave you with this, if you are committed to following this fantastic band, I suggest you start at the beginning and go back to 2014 of their cover of Enter Sandman a cover that has 24 million views on KZread. This band is truly amazing. Unreal talent and passion and they are so young. Evolve, Disciple, Martirio are great. Checkout their Enter Sandman cover when they were kids if you want to be blown away as well. It really doesn't matter though what you choose to react to since everything they do is outstanding. I enjoy this band's music more than any others I have heard in years.

I had a feeling of familiarity and couldn't quite put a finger on it, you nailed it haha.

Oh man are you in for a ride down the rabbit hole with The Warning. It's deep and wide. When the music fades and then that singer is the bassist. She's an awesome singer and bassist, but she (youngest 17) is the introvert of the band. Alejandra ⚡🤘 Dany(oldest 22) the lead singer and the goofy commander is truly a rock star. Pau (20) the extrovert/tiny ball of fire is the drummer. They have been a band for 8 or 9 years now. I've been listening to them for about 6 or 7 years now. Love this band. There isn't one bad song in their 40+ songs that they have written. So for my favorite song is all of them. If you think you found your favorite wait until the next one. ⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘

Seriously bruh, any video on their channel is a winner... Do yourself a favour and check some of their oldest stuff. It's mind blowing to see how much natural talent they had when they were just children. Also going back you will be introduced to the hardest working, numble and generous people on the planet.

The Warning's Patreon community (Something they fought tooth and nail for when negotiating their record contract with Lava/Republic, a process that took 7 months to nail down) is even more welcoming and fulfilling.
