Oh My Goodness ... You are me. I'm obsessed too and I run around at midnight having to play every guitar I own. And obsess about tone, comparing pickups, amps and pedals and what wood creates what sound - I hate dust on guitars - if one of mine has dust on it, I'm not loving it enough. And, having regretted seeing things the past I very rarely get rid of anything - buyers remorse is not a thing I now but sellers remorse ... !!!! Loving your energy and enthusiasm - keep doing what you're doing it's awesome.

I love your passion for guitar! I've been playing for 10 years now (I'm 21) and I've been struggling recently with picking up the guitar. I was in a huge rut, but now that I've discovered your channel, a fire has been ignited within me. Your passion is contagious and I want you to know that. Thanks to you and a band called Polyphia, I've found a new appreciation for guitar playing. Polyphia's technical ability mixed with your contagious energy is one hell of drug. Cheers! Edit: Plus you're funny as hell. I recently watched a video where you were talking about your first LP. Calling your boss a "Scheister", then proceeding to tell us to look in a Yiddish dictionary for said word; it had me rolling on the floor.

I'm so glad dude! Remember, your guitar will never let you down as long as you love it. Being productive and actually feeling progress is the greatest way to ward of depression. When in doubt, just keep rocking away even if you don't feel better and one day you'll impress yourself. Keep rocking dude, never give up and remember, energy transfers. Just like my energy or Tim Hensons or yours. If you're feeling like a bummer life will be a bummer. If you play your guitar it's only you and the music you hear in your head. Once you figure out how to get it out through your fingers is when you'll finally feel free 🙌

@@TheNeuroticGuitarist You're 100% right! I have a question for you; If you had a time machine and could go back to the 60s/70s, what are the three bands you'd see? That is bands that were in their prime. I'd see 1: Led Zeppelin (HUGE Led Zep fan) 2: Pink Floyd (Gilmour' guitar is an extention of his soul) 3. Black Sabbath (Saw them years ago and Ozzy sounded horrible. Out of key the ENTIRE show. I've always wanted to see him in his prime) Unfortunately the only way I can see them now is through videos.

That’s a rad collection! So much passion it’s inspiring. I’m down to send you a guitar to review. I have the most epic collection of groove fretboard at 15+. I had to invent a patent pending tool to even do them. Actually Hendrix carved notches in his guitar fretboard on select frets with sandpaper as told by Seymour Duncan so it has history in rock. My uncle Gary Lucas composed Jeff Buckley Grace. Jeff’s tele is legendary and Matt from Muse owns it now! There’s so much guitar history to talk about I could go on forever.

Lastly, I don't have any preference to thicker or thinner LP necks as long as it plays insane. It's weird because I've played LPs w thin necks that played way worse tha fat necks and vice versa and because I play so many guitars, I don't really have a particular preference

I bought my first one just before the NZ lockdowns coz i saw this music video one night when I got home drunk and thought “that’s a nice looking guitar”. Managed to zoom in find the brand, had no clue who Ola Englund was. Didn’t care. Guitar arrived. Fuck. My perfect neck. Finally after playing for 50 years i found my perfect neck. So yeah i have 5 now. 2 LP styles GC1.6 on Solar parlance. An exploer style E1.6 with Evertune my first Evertune. Got that during second lockdown in 2020. Model is E1.6 FBB flame burst black. I don’t play metal and fuck me that guitar is resonant, plays cleans awesomely. And i have the best guitar Ive ever played which is an S1.6 FR QOB. Floyd rose, quilted ocean blue and the best bang for your buck in the top 1.x tier ? The A1.6 FR C Floyd rose, carbon matte black. You should check out some Solars. Quality guitars don’t go out of tune

I have an entire 1200 Sq ft attic almost completely filled. I later started labeling them and organizing them, but I look forward to the day I can build actual racks and have them all nice and even. Some of them had got some water damage and it's like ffffff but what can you do when your instruments take up 3x more room than your fiance?

We have more in common than I realized at first, I really enjoyed this. You are so much like me.

I'm new to your channel, and thankful you made this video. Its my favorite channel. It's like I'm living my life through you for a moment. Much respect! Your living the dream for sure. Enthusiasm will get you everywhere!! (Side note) my budy has the same yr, color PRS base as the one in your studio. Yours is only the 2nd prs base I've ever seen. I'm not a big PRS fan, but it's a stellar instrument. Also, I'm woundering what you're top 5 concerts are, since you've seen so meny. I've seen quite a few myself. My favorite was Aerosmith in Landover Marylands capital Center in the 90s. (Can't remember the exact year) On the Pump tour. Skid Row opened, and were POWERFUL! Bachs voice was in top form. But Airosmith delivered a performance for the ages. It changed my life, and is the reason I picked up a guitar. Incidentally, I discovered that they officially released this performance on youtub, and I highly recommend it. What's even more interesting and OVERWHELMING for me, is during the 2hr plus concert video, you can't make out a single audience member, accept at 5 min 20 sec into the concert, for a brief second, because of the spotlight on Steven Tyler... There I am!!! I was 16 yrs old. I'm 49 now, and just discovered this a few months ago. What are the odds?? Thaught you would probably appreciate the story!

Hmmm...I can throw out a few: Sabbath/Pantera Van Halen Queen and Adam Lambert (I wish I had seem Freddie but it really is the next best thing) Iron Maiden METALLICA BIG 4 There are tons of them because I've been to well over 1000 concert but those are def top tier for me.

The place is special and I thought you worked in a second hand music store running videos during your downtime. Oh man...I had a Gibson Corvus (9:24) exactly like that (Grey, Black pick guard, one Bridge Pickup) in 1987. Neck dive to the Center of The Earth and horrible fretboard but cool shape. Called it my PacMan guitar :) Just found your channel and Subscribed. Best Regards and Best Wishes for 2023!

The corvus was a very different Pacman guitar despite looking the same as the Futura. It had a bolt on neck and the input was on the front, what makes the Futura so rad by comparison is that it was milled from one solid piece of maple, one of the only gibsons (maybe the only one) ever to be made from one piece of wood. The input was on the side. Much higher quality despite looking the same. Plays amazing! Subscribe and join the madness, my friend! Welcome 🙏

After seeing the JI Abbot post I thought, "I will post that when this freak popped up on my Mac notifications he had 23 followers so I am calling myself #25 and no one can stop me." I thought Benny was so different in an ultra-authentic way that I was going to follow how quickly he grew. I have a ton of friends that are players and collectors that I have sent his videos to and every time I send him to a new "friend" I get the same reaction..."WTF is this? This is great!" Damn Greg. Thats really nice. The thing is, I am 200% the guy in the videos, flaws and all, but I'm passionate about music and the instrument. I love educating and sharing the excitement I have for music. That said, when I started off I was a little more mean spirited which, when watching back, kinda made me cringe because that's not who I am, so I dialed it back. @Greg Stricklin I have lamented over the RD for years. My drummer Paul loves them. I almost almost bought a custom a year ago and was like 50 apart from the guy. It's definitely on the list, I love them. My collection will never be complete ahhhhh! I get it with the edgier thing, but people have a hard time enough understanding my energy without me being constantly legit dark, but I do still go there sometimes. You should see what's on the editing room floor!

My standard still has the original Series VII humbuckers. Hey, do not discount who understands your energy and how many of us there are. Furthermore, the success each of us has had is due largely to our unorthodox energy. You are doing great. I hope Gibson is, or starts paying you. They need help! haha
