Who CARES if boys in real life don't accessorize when we're playing a game world with infinite possibilities that can fix that? He's supposed to be the main character and look like it. It's sad that male fanbase would want a bland game character to look up to and feel relatable with. To hell with that trend of boring male protagonists from the 2000s and 2010s. I'm just weirded out by how much the female MC stands out instead of the male MC because it gives favoritism to me, and that's not good. There's a reason the Trailblazer twins are popular and praised more than Genshin's twins: they're balanced, both look cool and they're both used in trailers and promotions more equally. Meanwhile Wise looks disproportionate to his sister and not in a good yingyang way, he just looks really bland to me. I hope this blatant favouritism in character design doesn't also effect his screentime in the future at all cuz that'd be even worse.

@@aureliaavalon I havent seen the trailblazers being praised much more than the twins on their outfits though. Where are you getting that info from? Because if it's just a few comments you've seen of some people online prefering trailblazers outfits that's not that big of a deal. Everyone has different opinions especially with fashion! To me both of the genshin twins have very detailed designs with parts of the designs on both of them being significant to the lore and they're both nicely accessoried and flashy but not too flashy. And for genshin the reason why they always market aether as the traveler in official videos is for easier digestion of the story because the situation with the twins is integral to the plot with one of them being an atagonist and all so that consistency in showing Aether as traveler and Lumine as abyss sibling is easier for them for story-telling. Whereas for starrail the story is very different from Genshin which is why they're about to easily advertise both trailblazers as the mc without confusion. Although I do think there are some good ways that they could show both aether and lumine as the traveler and vice versa but that's a whole other conversation and doesn't have anything to do with their outfit designs

I LOVE the fact they took the effort to make their personallities different with their movement, attitude and even tye slightly Different Dialogue. There is nothing wrong with a Self-Insert, but the characters being their own person is fun too. I just dislike the care the Female MC seems to have in comparison to the Male MC in their desing and accesories. But oh Well... I feel like I'm still going for the Male MC. But we will dee when the time to choose comes.

Nah, I totally agree on the design aspect. I went with Wise because I vibed with his personality far more than Belle, but I wish they would have taken more care in his design. So many of the male characters look fantastic. There was no reason for Wise to end up looking so plain. Obviously, they didn't need to gussy him up to the nines, but dang. Give our boy something 😅

storywise, Belle's got more interactions and events that feel more protagonist vs. Wise. (you get to play Wise to save Belle in the Hollows which is WAY more interesting and fun if the MC you choose is Belle. Belle also gets saved by police gurlie from the green car.)

Would pick male MC all the way since spiritually I relate to them a lot and Wise is no exception, he is even more a convincing choice too. I do wish he had some accesories like Belle does which would tie them in more as a duo, a sibling duo at that. Like in that one official art of him, Wise had a simple red earring on his ear. It changes his whole vibe and honestly ties him in a lot more to Belle while just honestly making him a little more appealing. Some pins on his clothes would be cool too, like mementos him and Belle have with each other.

Doesn't make them less of an icon. 'Serious' characters are always depicted as those with little to no expression, that's why character like Raiden Shogun, Acheron, 2B, Cloud Strife, are rarely making noticeable expression, but again, it doesn't make them a bad character.

Wise is just the staple calm and clean older brother, hence his design being more put together/boring instead of Belle's chaotic mismatching socks/lots of loudly shaped and colored bracelets and earrings.

I honestly prefer the female, she is way more lively

Definitely Belle~ I choose MC based on their personality. Aether cause his design is warm and bright like a sun, Caelus cause his emotions is shown on the face instead of Stelle's deadpan face, Belle cause she's adorable, lively and her design pop up comparing to Wise.

this is correct. the one that you choose speaks way less.

Wise with the Gendo pose, and Belle with the Lelouch pose

ima choose Wise to hear Belle's voice the entire game

I usually like both MCs, but this time, the female one just look plain better in my opinion

using wise makes me feel like i am inside my soul society

Imma choose the male character since most people are gonna choose the female one, plus it’s tradition always picking the male character.

Belle actually acts like a person but Wise just acts so dead

The reasons I picked Belle -Our game name is integrated as Phaethon's alternate account for Proxy. It's not going to replace the two MC's names, therefore we are free to use whatever name we want -I see Belle as someone who is genius to operate on Hollow Missions, and Wise being a smarter one who casually supports his sister, then will act when it's really necessary. -Belle fits more to control the Bangboo especially when acting cute -Same with dialogue choices where Belle fits mostly when teasing other characters

Hoyoverse releases less male characters and still fumbles up suprises me, like from mc to npc

Yeah this is def gonna be a game for what people call "gooners" that exactly what hoyo is betting on. To thirst trap the franchise into oblivion

Tbh, anyone that tries to stake out a difference in quality between them is really just projecting what they want to see. Both actors give perfectly solid performance.

nice to see a different dialogue when choosing different gender of MC. Maybe other game has but so far this 1 is unique

I'm not going to say that Wise is the better MC, but rather, Belle just makes a better sidekick. It's like those animes where the side characters are more interesting than the main character. Wise I feel would be too boring as a side character and fall straight into faceless NPC territory.

Man, when they made ZZZ characters ooze so hard with personality, even on the MCs 🤤

i usually go for the male mc bc i vibe with them more, but for this im leaning towards belle-she’s a lot more vibrant and bubbly to me than wise

im picking wise purely because hes called wise like imma be a wise wizard mam

Though Belle seems more expressive and fun as a MC, I liked Wise since 2023 soooo...

plot twost is after sometime, your mc would not be available due to certain agreement with Fairy and you will be using the other sibling later on as temporary MC. so there will be alternative MC along the ways.

choosing belle was a great choice because i get to hear wise more

i chose belle and i think it fits better for wise to be the one behind the scenes as he looks more experienced in the technical stuff while belle is more suited to be controlling the bangboos and interacting with the agents

I love characters like March and Amber so picking Belle was a no brainer, she’s so bubbly and cute!

I love Belle, so I chose Wise! They're both great MCs, it's just that I love the fact that Belle will be more of your "guide" in the game when u choose the brother.

In the other Honkai games, both Trailblazer and Traveler change attributes and roles During the game I would give him a robo battle armor (as big as a person) controllable from a distance like rabbits Based on the character chosen, one will be more resistant and strong, suitable for melee, the other fast and for distance.
