Who am I? My name is Alivia Brown and I am a recent UCLA Anthropology graduate on a mission to find a career that I love. My major does not have a straight forward "path" as many would say and I am not only determined to prove that I can be successful in my major but also demonstrate my ability to find a career that brings me joy. This is my journey to expanding my global and anthropological knowledge. This is my journey to finding the best career I can. This is my journey to finding happiness. This is my journey to success.

Ahahahah this comment is INCREDIBLE
A wonderful quick summary of her work, and I loved the quote from her at the end. There are some other women in early Anthropology also connected with Boas such as Ella Deloria and Zora Neale Hurston, the first Indigenous American and Black women respectively. See Charles King's history of this circle of anthropologists, "Gods of the Upper Air", Doubleday, 2019.
Love it!!!!!!❤

I know this also doesn't relate to the video but I also studied concepts such as interclass contact which I find interesting today. Delaney's argument - who coined the term - mentioned that this happens in urban spaces.
Thanks, this video was so helpful.....can u talk about Alfred Radcliffe brown
I was admitted to Vassar College (a long time ago in 2010) because one of my friends suggested that I apply. It's crazy to me that Yale was one of the first Ivy League institutions to admit women, in 1969. Vassar used to be a part of Yale University.
OMG, what an interesting tea you spilled, hahahahah :D

would i be right in saying that moral relativism does not mean "people can do whatever they want, even if it means killing other people" ?

Oooooh! I see! And gosh there are so many...it really does depend on your interests. I recommend looking up anthropology programs in your specific subfield of interest and go from there. Of course, I am biased to the UC system (UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, etc.!)
