In Uganda too. on capital fm. eeishhh now that was music. Rick Dees and Larry King at the time kinda had a similar aura in Radio/TV, I would say. #classicisGold

I used to listen to Rick Dees in the morning on the way to school. I will never forget his "school lunch menus". LOL . Rick we miss you in Memphis!

Yeah, that "lunch menu" seemed to always include "Hot Buns". I lived there when he was on WMPS and WHBQ.

this is an AMAZING bio/EPK type compilation of video clips! I'm a huge fan of Rick Dees....listening to the Weekly Top 40 every Sunday morning, growing up in Grand Rapids, MI was a tradition for me - but even I learned a lot watching this video! great great job on producing this and assembling all these clips together

In the 90s, majority of the teenagers in Uganda recorded the Rick Dees Countdown over their parents old cassette tapes. I can still vividly hear the Rick Dees and the Weekly Top 40 jingle in my head. lol

I grew up with Rick Dees on 102.7 KIIS FM Los Angeles in the 80s. He was HILARICAL! Hands down, my favorite radio talent ever.

Yeah, Rick played KFWB's Ted Quillan. Whoever wrote this copy screwed up Ted's last name. It wasn't "Quinlan."
