Hi Scott, the Super 7 Classics Club Grayskull did not make Filmation version of Rattlor. They only got to Tung Lashor, too bad the duo is incomplete because of Mattel unexpectedly pulled the license off to Super 7. Wish Rattlor was made but he wasn't.

In the vintage mini-comic that came with King Hiss (King of the Snakemen), after Skeletor and Kobra Khan free Hiss from the void and Hiss summons Rattlor and Tung Lasher. Khan says those guys work for Hordak and they tell Hiss they joined the Evil Horde when the rest of the Snakemen got trapped in the void. So, it was explained... ☺️

By the time they showed up in the 200X line, if it wasn’t a He-Man variant it wasn’t on the peg. Great video! The snake men were always my favorite when they came out when I was a kid. But I remember being so disappointed when I got rattler, because he looked so cool in the comics and cartoon, but had this flimsy little flat tail thing as a toy. I actually preferred playing with the tongue lasher figure because of it. For some reason, I preferred reptile figures with tails, but the tails had to look good. Anyhow, I'm glad to see you guys fixed that with the classics line. I would have loved it as a kid.

@@berkajr3685 It's MOTU related which is an interest of mine and many others, Scott is an "historical" figure in MOTU history, and his videos are meant to be informative about the figures and their releases. A lot of these figures had moronic decisions that pissed off the fans, had QC defects, or controversies. Some times Scott leaves those inconvenient facts out. As someone who was there since Day 1 and spent thousands of dollars on Classics I feel obligated to point out the good and the bad. Rattlor was one of the rare masterpieces in the Classics line. The only unfortunate blemish on the figure is that he used the black plastic. Thank God for whatever reason he was not chipped and his paint apps held unlike Dragon Blaster Skeketor which was completely ruined with chipping. Of all my Rattlors that I own I don't really have any noticeable chipping that I am aware of, but I do use extra care when handling him because of that moronic decision. The figure itself was great. He's one of my favorites in the line. I bought 6 Rattlors. Classics Rattlor was slimmer and took a bit of getting used to since he lost bulk from the vintage figure which was squat and and had a wide torso. The missing armor was unfortunate but Rattlor was one of the few characters that was equally awesome in both 200x and Vintage since the design was basically the same, unlike Muppet Clawful, Buzz-Off, Snout Spout, and Repaint Evil Lyn. Thankfully we did get the armor later in an accessory pack, which was appreciated, unlike Keldor's swords which should have been packed with the actual figure since he was nothing but a cheap repaint to begin with. Rattlor's armor getting cut and released later was acceptable and understandable. The neck attachments were a neat way to recreate the vintage action feature. The tail was head-scratching though. Just like Whiplash he only has a tail cut which limited his pose-ability. Another 4 Horsemen choice I assume since it sucks. Still, I love Classics Rattlor. I have 2 of him on my computer desk. He was released 9 years ago in 2012. I've seen him almost everyday for the last 9 years. I love him.

Classics Rattlor is pretty awesome. A great looking figure. But my favourite design of Rattlor is from 200X. There he looked like a warlord from the ancient times. The whole way they handled the Snake Men in 200X was absolutely perfect. The 200X figure of Rattlor on the other hand was a little weird. I don't get the bronze tail and the yellowish extended neck. Also I'm not a big fan of the rattle feature even though it seems pretty obvious for a character based on a rattle snake. It does fit the character but it always reminds me on those toy rattles for toddlers. Also it makes the figure feel like it's broken inside. I could have done without it.

Scott yor vidéos are always full of good Information about those toy lines and specially MOTU. Considering there were 3 “villains sets line ( I consider Skeletor and his minions is one , the Horde with Hordak the 2nd, and finally the Snake Men the third, ) it’s lot of villains to take in account ( I don’t even mention the count Marzo and some whole lot of others ) were there ever a plan to add some new neutral/hero line sets that wouldn’t be just Masters of The Universe but just like some kind of Robin Hood type or Pirates character S somehow that would just lead their way and added some spicy 🌶 time of that struggle between He-man and his friends and all the other lines of villains ? ( I don’t mention Zodac / Zodak kind which is kind of weird) that could make some interesting characters to the story and for figures ?at that time ( somehow Sea Hawk on the She-Ra could be one good example) thanks for your input and all the info you provide for us fans. Take care.

(I was an annoying little S**t, so not sure how that happened) but for my play pattern one of them became 'Python' ( I was 9, what did I know of Snake taxonomy) whether he came out of the box, or I played rough early on, one of them had a transfer/wear mark so I always knew who was who...

One of my favourite characters and figures, so beautifully done! The only criticism I had was the weird horizontal pupils, but that was an easy repaint. I ended up buying two more Rattlors, to make a "Filmation Horde" outift version, and to try to make the full MYP version with the scaly loincloth, and the bone vambraces and greaves. Managed to get the first one done, but the full MYP version is sitting in my huge tub of unfinished customising projects . . . .
