Last week, SA watched on as Chief Justice Raymond Zondo swore in Paul
Shipokosa Mashatile as deputy president of the country.
Mashatile was among a cohort of ANC MPs who joined President Cyril
Ramaphosa’s cabinet.
But who is Mashatile and what does his past tell us about the kind of
deputy he will be?

It's the other way around. Paul will become President once Cyril is booted out. The vacant Deputy Presidents post becomes vacant, in comes Julius to fill the position.
What about his education? What about his economic and business narrative for South Africa? What about his knowledge and drive for up-skilling SA to be Digital Era Relevant? What’s his narrative about Control and Consequence Management? He doesn’t seem confident enough to do a good job. Neither does he speak with clarity and conviction!
