A true champion! And so modest. Greatest skier ever!

She's one of the skiers in alpine racing which are always a pleasure to watch, no matter whether she wins or get 3rd, she just has a great style doing it. And after the races her interviews often are rhe best ones since she often hes answers that aren't expected by the journalists. I remember her saying to swiss tv once after a win that she wasn't happy since it wasn't the kind of skiing she wanted to do, but on the other hand she also said when getting 3rd that she was happy since she could ski exactly the way she wanted but the way the other girls (i think it was Petra Vlhova and Frida Hansdotter, but not sure) skied was faster.

She is a great woman and a great skier because she is so simple! A likeable girl !

She's smart , talented, brains and beauty !!!!! Am from and in Colorado she makes us proud to have such a champion in skiing !!! We are known for our perfect snow here !!!!!! You go champ !!!! Be careful have a great time !!!!! 💜

Love it. Living here in CO, it's so odd to see how many people do not watch Ski racing nor know any of the athletes! As a Swiss, it's what I watched growing up & I am glad I can still catch the occasional race here on TV.

I skied with a number of Swiss ski instructors working at Mammoth. The best skiers nicest people and excellent demonstrators and instructors. They couldn't score on our KRA (key result area) skiing evaluations for wedge Christy demos so asked Mike Hafer PSIA Demo team what good skiing was. This got me called into the office with Craig, Finlay and Mark to apologize to Mark for criticizing his evaluations. Shiffrin is better at Swiss technique than the Swiss are and now PSIA is back peddling furiously to correct their faulty wedge Christy exam task demo (they have been bastardizing with stupid extending movement) to reflect the current world cup standard which is "The New Way to Ski" by Willie Schiefler 1957 aka "Austrian/ Arlberg" technique. Swiss put a little extra twist into the countering/crossover. Shiffrin moderates her early weight/countering with the up hill hand at the pole plant. ( Like Phil Maher) It's nearly invisible but when she does it she makes it so every turn even when she flubs goes faster some how... the snow really likes her.

I can't ski. And talking about sports I'm more like hockey person. But I absolutely admire this woman! Not because of thousands wins and medals. Of course, her performance is unbelievable, but, ultimately, it's only a part of the life. She is special because of her .... personality? heart? soul? You can call it however you want. It's just that thing what makes you smile and feel warm inside the heart when you see her talking, smiling, winning, loosing. This lady is doing really good job in the way how she lives her life. It's bad to lose a race but it's even worse to lose a character. And I'm glad to see Mikaela is winning in both sides :)

Hope she doesn't give up on skiing. Always loved to watch her. Mikaela does sing pretty well. Could be a fall-back if she gets a singing coach. She has a pretty good voice.

Training keeps you sharp(no doubt) but athletes like Mikaela have something extra...super season M. and lovely sound too!

She is one of the greatest skiers of all time. Her Slalom technique is peerless and she's adding the speed events to her resume as well. She has a nice singing voice, but that 'steppin' needs work. I'm really impressed with how her career has progressed. Her skiing fundamentals are top notch because that was the focus early on. I really appreciate her mothers support. I feel like that even though mom is one of her coaches, she's mom first. She looks out for what's best for Mikaela. She's managed her progress step by step, not taking on too much. Mom made sure she was prepared and ready. Because of this, barring serious injury, Mikaela will stay at the top several more years. She has the talent and work ethic. I see her breaking that wins record.

Perfectly normal outstanding athlete, fun and frank outspoken. Quite genuine and open in social media. Think can see why other top profile female skier is a bit ruffled about her. She is great and well, she will go far far, just by attitude.
