This was actually sad to watch because there was so many opportunities to guide and encourage her like an older sister. Interviewer was definitely showing “mean girl” attitude. It all started with the “shameless” comment. I could tell Tumelo was hurt by that and then all bets were off and she went in.

this interview was a chance for an older black woman to uplift a young black girl and encourage her to explore other avenues of life rather than sex work which is dangerous and uncertain. she’s 18 living alone, with no prospect of uni or employment and instead of unpacking why that’s the case, the interviewer was hellbent on humiliating and shaming her.

Not really - her analogy is hardly comparable to having trust in someone. It usually does only take one false narrative to lose trust in someone so regardless of how truthful someone is outside of that one instance, you will still be seen as untrustworthy. The teen was not bullied, the interviewer was asking her questions about her life which isn't something to be proud of, I think the girl realised she will come across looking like a dumb child that will do whatever to get fame. She's a hoe at 18nand is proud. Go do something proper with your life then people like this interviewer wouldn't have to ask certain questions that would upset the girl. That’s still prostitution though. People hitting you up to perform sexual acts for money is literal prostitution. She has rates. What is the problem? I understand the hosts attitude is abrasive but I’m saying she was using the right definition of the word prostitute.

This could have gone so differently had the interviewer handled her emotions and not been so triggered. After Tumelo answered her questions, the interviewer would just respond with "ok cool" NEXT. Anyone would feel provoked/patronised. She's older and should have handled this interview like a keke rather than an interrogatio, in my opinion 🤷🏾‍♀️. Kudos to Tumelo for her honesty.

Host is terrible!! Why decide to interview her just to be judgmental and condescending? Thumelo maybe a bit lost and misguided but the interviewer actually comes across like a mean girl and bully!

I am in my daughter’s life heavily because of this. Look how intelligent smart brave and tough this 18 year old is. She completely handled herself like a veteran I am really impressed. She has figured out that we only care about drama toxic behaviour violence and hype as a culture so she is capitalising from it. She said many times it’s the internet it’s the internet. She is passive aggressive and demeaning and the kid served the same energy back.
