playing him at all feels like a challenge. dude has got to be one of the least imposing characters in the game. i like playing solid fundamental type characters but damn all ryu got is big damage. playing ryu becomes miserable once you hit diamond with him.

Ryu’s got to be the most downplayed character in this game. It almost seems like people pick ryu to cope after losing

@@ghiidra__ honestly i play ryu as a side character to gatekeep plat players from diamond when i dont wanna put effort into playing my main. what does ryu even do. luke and guile and jp are all better at zoning and ken is better at rushdown. i dont think ryu is wrongfully downplayed. he leaves a lot to be desired.

he is the best cammy, other top cammy utilize her entire tool set like holigans and lot of mix ups. Punk being using raw cammy with just whiff punishes lol it looks simple but only punk can do it

if you not aiming to win tournaments then don't beat yourself to that. play the game for fun, like think of new combos in practice and do them in match. i got tired of playing cammy (at diamond 3), so just like punk and other pro content creators, I decided to learn all characters and at least get them to platinum. and I was hard struck gold akuma main in SF5, coming out of your comfort zone feels so good since you literally feel you are improving.
