Maybe it's a supernatural thing? Or maybe something corrupt in the government with radiation, since we know due to collectables there is a highly sought after, but toxic material from the alien worlds. I cant remember the name, but it glows green and makes ting sparks when its outside of your inventory. So, kinda coupled with the aliens, but more with shady government stuff and some murder perhaps? Edit: Yea my money is on murder for the urn in the attic.

I think it is a Jewish reference, in Budapest, Nazis kill Jewish in couples next to a river. They make them take off their shoes and they tie them together. After that, soldiers shot one of them and the other fall in the water and drown in the water by look at her/him beloved husband or wife.

I have a little crazy theory, maybe is not the case but, what about time travel? Emma Riddle is the daughter of Ana Liza but she travel to the past (reason for being an elder) and died here, it could be because after all, time travel machines are introduced in Ambitions Btw: keep doing videos, I really love them all 👌

Maybe that's why she isn't shown to have written any books. And also why her hat covers her eyes? Because she faked her own death, so the urn belongs to her and that's just how the Sims team is showing that. Maybe Di L. Emma was in a dilemma about something regarding her writing (hence her name)- whether it be she couldn't handle the fame from her popular books, or maybe she was in some sort of legal trouble? 🤔

Maybe they switched places. Anna Liza (buried as Di L Emma) was actually an author but died and Di L Emma stole her identity to become Anna Liza. Perhaps Di L Emma was a serial killer (explaining the many deaths in the town) and Anna Liza started to suspect her. As she was a murder mystery writer and her name is 'Analyser' I think her solving/investigating this mystery is fitting. Since they share last names it's likely that they were either sisters/family members or in a relationship, either way they would have been quite close. So when Dilemma realises that Analyser has figured her out she is faced with a 'dilemma' of getting caught or killing someone she loves. She then steals her identity, explaining why she hasn't actually written any books. It could also be that she is the real analyser who killed dilemma when she figured out dilemma was the killer.

She made me remind also about Agatha Christie. Along time ago i heard someone talking about conspiracy theories that Agatha didn't died and that she had an encounter with someone of outerspace. Maybe that can explain the telescope in the sims 3 🤔

Agatha Christie didn't fake her own death per say. She abandoned her car, disappeared and the when she was found in a Yorkshire spa she said she couldn't remember the 11 days when she was missing and maintained that her whole life. Many people think it was because she found out her husband was cheating on her and because her mother died, maybe causing a nervous breakdown or that it was just a publicity stunt.

Oh man, I miss the quirky jokes and breaking the 4th wall of the older games. It doesn't help that in TS4, the neighborhoods are so tiny that these details are harder to work in. (And EA most likely just denies the devs a chance to do more)

I feel the sims and Battlefield are good examples of how EA is working the hell outta their developers. Sim 2 and most of 3 had stories and heart compared to Sims 4. The same goes for bf3 and 4, and those were the last two that weren't a reskin and had a campaign that had heart. The hardline was just a bf4 reskin, but at least it had a story

If memory serves correct, each town has their deceased sims with a specific color scheme. I know Moonlight Falls and Isla Paradiso sims are blue, grey for Bridgeport, and brown for Aurora Skies. But I can't remember the colors for all the other towns off the top of my head. EDIT: I found a list. It goes: Green for deceased sims in Twinbrook, Barnacle Bay, Lunar Lakes, and Lucky Palms. Blue for Moonlight Falls and Isla Paradiso. Grey for Bridgeport. Red for Appaloosa Plains. Brown for Aurora Skies. Purple for Sunlit Tides and Hidden Springs. And yellow for Dragon Valley.

Di. L Emma also sounds like Dial M (a) and Dial M For Murder is a Hitchcock movie, also watching neighbours through a telescope is pretty Rear Window!

The last time I played sims 3 I was 12/13 years old and I played it in Portuguese and I don't remember at all if their names were puns or not. I am back at playing again so now I am excited to go check it out

I'm sorta wondering if maybe Bobby is a reference to Bobby in the Twin Peaks series, and they also look similiar with very portruding cheekbones. And Twinbrook by itself can also be a reference to Twin Peaks

Oh my God yess I was thinking about this as well (way after I recorded the voice over tho..🙄)

I have two theories. 1) If you see the clothes of Emma, they look quite medieval, so maybe she could be Emma's ancestor. Even more, maybe she was part of the nobility when the Sims world was a monarchy and that it is how Anna has this big house. 2) The second theory is quite creepy but more interesting. Emma is Anna's older sister. If you see her traits, she has a few in common with Anna and she is also crazy - sorry if a say the wrong name but I'm Spanish and I don't remember well the English trait names - so maybe she believes during all her life that she was a little girl that never grow up, and that it is why she wears a medieval dress, because she thought she was a princess. Anna wears clothes that resemble to the 40s-50s European look and the Sims 3 is the first game in timetable. Maybe Anna was trying to protect her sister so she wouldn't go to these infamous asylums. She hide Emma all her life and create this room for her so she would be happy. Fortunally, Emma dies due to her age in peace and with her sister. And that's it. Sorry for writing so much and for my bad English, but I hope you like it

Your second theory makes much sense with the telescope in the attic, as well. Since she was hiding emma, emma should have not be seen outside so she purchased her a telescope to keep her entertained while being on top of what’s happening in the town by spying.

Just makes me wish they had cool lore like this in TS4 😭😭😭😭😭

i feel like dilemma (can’t remember how they spelt it) could be her mother, for some reason. maybe the child’s room is actually hers from when she was a child. idk why reslly no evidence but maybe when she was young she accidentally killed her mother. haha idk where that all came from, no evidence at all

that's what i'd always assumed, that di l emma was her mother/aunt/grandmother, who raised anna-liza and probably died in some suspicious way when she was a child/young teen, hence her keeping her childhood room the same. anna got into mystery and dark fiction because she never could find out the truth about how her caretaker died

I think she could be her sister. The sister's bedroom is intact but the other study room that is in process could be hers when she was younger but now she's taken her deceased parents bedroom. Which kinda confirms the idea that she still mournes her sister's death only but not the parents as well, since she got over it, just because her sibling's death was a mystery that she can't solve. Maybe that's why she reads so much and doesn't have time to decorate the new room: she's looking for a way to find out what happened.

Considering that in the game, two sims share the same last name without appearing in the family tree after death (except when you manually change the name) when the two are married, I assume Anna Lize was married to the woman buried in the attic, maybe not even for love, just to get the house, in which the dead girl planned to start a family, and Anna killed her

When the music started to kick in oooh boy it felt good --------- I actually think Dilema is Analyse’s sister or cousin that’s older than her and Analyse thinks she’d be framed as a murderer.

I can’t believe I had one my my own families child move into this house(Anna must have died in the time I had played) and I had no idea about the urn in the attic and all the mystery. The sim that I had move in just happened to be an author tho so that’s a creepy coincidence. Love your videos so much.

I love the time and effort the sims 3 team put into these sim’s backstories. It’s what makes it such a memorable game

Didnt know premade sims could have this juicy theoretical back story lols! I used to just play the game w a sim i made without minding premade sims bios and stuff.

It sounds like the show Murder she Wrote with an old lady writing murder mysteries on the neighbors she thinks are murders or spies. Perhaps she got too close to blowing their cover and they ended up killing her relative. Which is why they hate each other.

What if analisa is the daughter of the deceased? Maybe her homelife was somehow unbearable for her so she killed her mom and stored her in the attic. The two boys on her side know and sympathise with her while the other three are on the side of law and maintain that she should face trial regardless. Kind of like a moral dilemma? Also your video really inspired me! I'll make a build video talking about this soon if you don't mind ♥️. I really love your channel and have been a subscriber for a long time 😁.

Tbh Anna-Liza's gouse spooked me af when I loaded her household for the first time. That beautifully decorated empty child's bedroom and an urn is so creepy

This is my MOST favorite world in ALL Sims games. Di L. Emma Riddle was probably killed by the Racket family, the Sargeants hate Anna-Lysa cuz they suspect of her... She's weird, likes mysteries and murders... She's got everything tô o be a suspect. I think Di L. Emma wass her mom, she was rich, while Anna-Lysa wasn't, despite being an author, maybe she wasn't só succesful. Idk. I like her, I always make her adopt the Dee Liver, the newspaper girl.

Oh God... Anna-Liza hasn't written any books... Maybe the urne in her attic is that of the real Anna-Liza. Maybe she killed her or she died by accident and she has taken on her idetnity...

I have a dark story who ties up with some of the lore: Anna Liza and Emma were two sisters who loved to read mystery novels since they were kids. Emma was the younger sister whom introduced the storys to her older sister. As they grew up, Anna Liza started to write books about murder and eventually they were published, giving a name for herself as a writer. She moved to Twinbrook to have more time for writing her mystery novels, each becoming more successful. Most of her books was set in the medieval times, as they were her favorites to write. As she grew older, Anna Liza was diagnosted with a illness who affected her brain, the treatment was expensive and she didn't have the money at the time. The illness became stronger, so her sister Emma moved in to take care of her. During all her life, Emma tryed to write books like her older sister, but left many unfinished and the others were rejected. She lived in the shadow of the big name of her beloved sister. In Twinbrook, the neighbours starting to compare Anna Liza and Emma, pointing out that they sometimes had trouble telling each other apart, aside from the hair. Anna Liza illness became strong with the years, so much so that she belived she had a young daughter and decorated a room for her. It was her passion but both sisters couldn't have babys. Emma went along with it, but had trouble convincing her sister, by the time they were done, Emma had to sleep in the girly room. Emma eventually got tired of being the nanny for her sister, so she took the time between taking care of her sister to also write. However, Anna Liza also wrote a book and published. The result: Emma's book was rejected and Anna Liza's was a hit success as always. The money she recived was enough to treat her illness. Sick of being nothing more than a stepping stone for her sister, Emma started to create her own mystery novel in her head, so the dark toughts came to light... Her sister was old already, she was ill, she didn't have much time. So she wanted her out... She knew they would started to think something was wrong if Anna Liza simply vanished, if she had an overdose of medication, the autopsy would give it away as intentional. So she came up with another ending to the story, and this was her real life murder-mystery novel. During her sleep, Emma suffocated her sister and dragged her body to the attic. She managed to maintain her body (cloroform, as she learn with her sisters mystery novels) and keep it there. The comotion made noise, with was heard by her neighbours, The Sargents, Anna Liza answear the door and dismissed them in a very rude way, telling them to never bother her ever again. Weeks pass and Anna Liza suddently returned in a book convention wearing a long hat and glasses that cover her face. She told the press that she did treated her illness and was felling well again. In the interview, she thanked her sister, Emma, for supporting her, stating that she moved back to her home town after the treatment, but will miss her every day. Emma, now Anna Liza, used her sisters money to live out the rest of her life. She now uses her sisters name and fame to write her own books knowing now that they will be a success, she became who se always wanted to be. However, her story is her unfinished murder-mystery, as the body of her sister still remains in the attic. She thinks her neighbours, Bobby and Scout may know something about her, so she bought a telescope to keep an eye on them, with they became very angry as it could compromise they're mission. Meanwhile, she is the sweet noisy neighbour... But there is one person who is her track... Wei knows she isn't the real Anna Liza, he've seen the two together and know with is with, but his roomates don't belive him. So he will eventually join forces with The Sargents to bring the truth to the city. Meanwhile Anna Liza enjoys the big name of her deceassed sister...

idk but her hat covering half her face is also pretty sus to me and that fact alone definitely makes me believe that she's hiding something creepy

I think the police thinks that anna-liza killed her sister emma and is investigating her, but anna-liza is trying to find the real killer before she's caught for a crime she didn't commit. Ooh i kinda wanna play this family now

I loved your video! Twinbrook is one of my all time favorite sims worlds and Anna-Liza is one of my favorite sims in it. Twinbrook has so many interesting elder sims that it makes me want to play without aging in order to give them all the conclusions they deserve. That being said, I really wish sims in the sims 3 had sims 2-style memories or at least storytelling pictures for each household like the sims 2 to give a bit more context to each family's individual story/lore. While it's still great that they leave some clues about each sim in their bios, allowing for the player to interpret every sim as they please to; it also feels like laziness on part of the game developers given that these sims have so much potential. I would've loved to see storytelling images like Anna-Liza meeting Di. L. Emma or an interaction between Anna-Liza and her neighbors to give us more clues to her story.

I know this video is from a year ago, but I noticed Annalisa wears an engagement ring and her formal outfit is a wedding dress!! I have no idea how this ties into everything, but it has to be a clue to something.

Oh my! Love that you're going as far with your investigations as exploring houses! Say, maybe someday, you could have a look at the Doe family house in Midnight Hollow? In my opinion, that's one of the most fascinating families in that world. Everybody else is conventionally spooky, and the Doe family seems to be normal... but what has brought them into a place like Midnight Hollow? Allegedly, their house poses a particular interest, judging by the description.

Alright guys, so I simply went ahead and checked it for myself. It's just a normal sim-house. Haven't found anything of interest there. The basement mentioned in the description is not there either. This is... really disappointing. The setup for this family could be developed into something like Stepford Wives-style horror, yet EA have not done anything with it. A truly missed opportunity :/

I'm reading a really fascinating discussion on The Sims forums about this family right now forums.thesims.com/EN_US/discussion/717189/so-what-exactly-is-the-doe-familys-secret . One of my favourite observations there is that their neighbours are a family of ghosts (Saras), and it's possible that they were the original owners of the house the Does are occupying now.

Well, I think Dil Emma was or Ana-lize mother or grandmother, as she wears clothes that seems from an antique time, and as work has a latrine cleaner job, what means she lived in war times, right? And maybe Ana-lize killed her and kept the house. The child room probably was Ana-lize's own room. The funny (or odd If you will) thing about Dil Emma, is that if you revive her through nraas she's unselectable and romantic interactions can be played from Ana-lize towards her... What made me think at first they were a couple planing to adopt a child, but some fight happened and she killed her partner, regret it and kept it a secret... But their faces are so similar that there's no way they are not blood relatated so... Would it be a case of incestuous and sexual abuse? 🤔😱 Followed by a breakthrough/breakdown from Ana-lize killing her mother/grandmother to finally break free? And maybe Justin and Lang know what was going on with Ana-Liza and what (and maybe why) she did and even helped her with the crime. Another thing to point is that Wei has absolute no relationship with Lang and Justin, as if he just moved in. Would it be that he's just a infiltrated in the house "implanted" by the Seargents to dig the history for them, so in exchange he would receive some support for his company? 🤔

Maybe di L Emma was her sister and the little girl room would probably belong to her..my theory is that she was childish,and she had a mental illness and that would contribute to her death

Anna and Di were a married couple recently moved into their new house, preparing to adopt a child, Anna was a writer and Di helped her write occasionally, What Di didn't know was that Anna was a murderer and was writing on her own experiences, Di found out Anna was a murderer and went to tell Bobby and Scout but Anna killed her and now they suspect her

Since Lang is in the criminal career, what if he’s the one who killed D.L.Emma? Maybe Anna Liza hired him as a hitman and wanted to keep her dead body as proof which she incinerated after. Justin being a computer know how helped to remove D.L.Emma from records. This probably tipped off the law enforcement and hence why the Scouts are involved. Why did Anna Liza do it? She wanted to commit the perfect murder. Why did Lang and Justin agree? They probably got a huge sum from it and saw it as a way to secure their future.

What if Anna Liza was the little girl..?

This makes the most sense. I think Di. L. Emma is Anna Liza’s mother and she died mysteriously somehow. I think Anna Liza is just living in the house she grew up in which was left to her by her mother.

I feel like its all the rackets murdering people. Honestly, id imagine them going after the pidgin ladies or the knack family

7:00 got me goosebumps. Im thinking misscarriage? Or maybe want to have a child/baby but it didnt ever happen. There was definetly a planning going on with having a child OR the dead person In the attic had childish trait and she lived/was kept there before her death OR both. Maybe her bio was refering with the has been spending her life with books and taking about her own mysteries that later In life she wanted to have a baby/child, a little girl, but it was already too late and then she kidnapped a woman and kept her there pretending like she was her daughter. Then at some point she got mad an got in rage, dragged the woman in the attic and killed her there because the years of dark subjects and literature have been messing with her head. Wow that got deep real fast. The tought just kept coming 😂

Making me want to play in Twinbrook again.

Maybe Anna Lisa is like Juana the Mad (Juana de Castille). Juana loved her husband so much, that she never wanted to leave him. Even when he only was a corpse. She slept beside him, talked to him pretending that he was still alive. Ms Riddle either hides her lover, sister, or daughter (time travel) whom she loved very much, from 'evil hands' that would take Emma away from her.

Anna-Liza reminds me so much of Agatha Cristie - the queen of crime, mystery books. Bobby and his wife btw look like the protagonists of X-files series. I wonder if it was developers plan for these sims or maybe it was a coincidence (I think not!)

Twinbrook came with ambitions and as aliens came the the later seasons, I feel like they might not have referenced that yet. Possibly she was just a nosy old lady

I dont know about you guys, but I had my very «perfect» family moving in Analyzes house. I had the grave deleted because didnt want to be scared at night. Suddenly one week after, ALOT of stuff was teleporting infront of the house, and they were burned/destroyed. Everynight a least one furniture was teleporting infront of the house, and one night 5 things got there. It got so frustrating that I decided to not continue living in that town😅😅 I was tired of deleting destroyd furniture teleporting in front of that house..

plot twist: dilemma and analyze are gay and were engaged and planned in adopting a girl but dilemma died before :/

Scout reminds me a little of Scout from To Kill A Mockingbird

I love how the names rhyme like “Justin keys” but kinda confusing but i can probably remember the names of the sims and l love sim lores videos and the lore in the videos I hope you continue to These types of videos

I don't know if Bobby and Scout are supposed to be Twin peaks or X-files' references because they look so similar to Mulder and Scully besides the clearly similarity between Scout and Scully's names but the Town's name sounds like it was supposed to be a Twin peaks reference. Maybe it's a mix but I'm almost sure it's about at least one of this series.

Maybe the dead sim in the attic is a great friend of Ann Lize that suffered of Alzheimer (and that's why the house has a second bedroom furnished for a kid) and was killed by Ann Lize for don't made her suffer to much. But this made actually Ann Lize a murder and this explain why the other couple are searching clue about her. Maybe this Is too dark for the Sims 😂

Watching these vids makes it even more of a let down how the Sims team just didn't give a crap to giving a backstory for the Sims 4 families.

I think that this dead lady in the attic is connected with a ghostbuster career which is available when you have Ambitious installed. I'm not sure about that but I've might seen some video where these ghosts you have to catch wear medival clothes. Sorry for my english ;)

So, this may seem kind of far fetched, but stay with me; I think that Anna WAS the little girl, and that Di. L. is her mother. Time travel is introduced in this pack; I think little Anna (probably as a teen/young adult) had her nose in a book, wandered into a time machine, and appeared years later. Di waited for her daughter to return until long after anyone else had left the house and ended up dying there, and then Anna found herself alone to spend the rest of her years growing up in another time. However, her appearing out of nowhere and pension for murder mysteries causes people in the town to grow suspicious of her. This would also explain why she is friend's with the fantasy loving gamer friends, while the more realistic one doesn't like her much; they actually believe her, while the others think she must have killed someone and ran to Twinbrook.

Would explain why she isn't in the family tree.. the children's room could've been their wish to adopt a child? Damn I wish Sims had memories in the sims 3 so we could know for sure.

@@jerichohazel9610 Perhaps they weren't married or in a joined union (I know Sims games are different with gay couples so I forget what the Sims 3 has) so that's why they don't appear in the family tree. Maybe they were planning on marrying and adopting a child, by Di L Emma died before it could happen

Anna Liza reminds me of a cartoon character, a duck detective, from a show I watched when I was younger. It's not really related to this theory but I can't help it xD Although I'm almost 100% sure the cartoon character was based on Agatha Christie or something. Maybe that's where the connection came from...

Am I the only one thinking she reminds me of J.B. Fletcher form murder she wrote

I've been watching for awhile now and have really enjoyed your channel and presentation of this content, it's all very fascinating. However, are all of these basically unsolved or is there a way to know if Sims/EA has confirmed any theories? I'm just surprised if they're all open-ended and not resolved so long after these games came out.....it seems like they have to have an answer and you'd think the community or EA would have been able to shine light on at least a few of these Lore video backstories. What do you think?

Everytime I watch your videos it just leads to more questions rather than actually solving it! Love the intrigue but geesh it gives me the creeps thinking that like half the sims are uncaught murderers....

I noticed their houses are right next to each other and if you view the houses from the front, you have Anna-Liza who is one member, then the detective duo who are two members and then the trio who are three people: 1-2-3. Could it mean something or is it just a coincidence?

A thought is that she might be Dail M rather than dilemma and be a reference to the Hitchcock movie. the telescope being a nod to Rear window another Hitchcock movie.

In regards to Anna Liza Riddle she sounds quite similar to the protagonist of the series Murder She Wrote Miss Jessica Fletcher

The Sims website implies that the ghost's name is related to Alfred Hitchcock's film Dial M for Murder

What about Lotta Greaves' death in Bridgeport? Her tomb isn't at the cemetery, instead it's hidden behind a vampire club. She died in a fire, was the only human sim who had any relation to vampires... I don't know, I've always found her death kind of weird

I guess Anna-Liza is either Miss Marple or Agatha Christie herself.
