It wasn't purely to improve, it was because he's been a forward but was then starting to play in mid as he said. But now sit the relationship, so things like when to play the ball for rvp etc

@@seyba6297 They probably have 1000 games between them at top level. Obviously knew how to play the game. BUT whether they can articulate what is going on in simple terms to an audience is a different matter entirely. It's one of the reasons these fail as managers. They don't impress their players with communication or are just unable to motivate. In Shearers case, he just talks in cliches. Deep insightful analysis isn't guaranteed because of the past careers as pros. Sometimes you can be too close and not see the bigger picture.

RVP had runs to call for a pass that were like police sirens. You coudnt miss them, very clear, well executed, you just needed the right pass. He made a sort of L.

@@telmolicious First half of his career he literally had no right foot, it was the single thing missing in his game. By the latter half though he'd completely turned it around to the point that he was even scoring goals with his right foot.

@@telmolicious Never said he was as good with his right, his left foot was phenomenal. Just that if you watch his early career he couldn't kick with his right foot to save his life. But by end of his career he was banging in a few right footers here and there and crossing with it, for him it was a huge turnaround considering where he was.
That left peg was deadly. The way he struck the ball too and moved his body to shoot was pure art. Rooney was already a great link man previously with Ruud, Saha, Ronaldo, Tevez, Berbatov, Chicharito so he knew how to play that role behind the main no9 and once RVP and him got going it was unstoppable. That Rooney pass and RVP volley vs Villa encapsulated that season perfectly.

Rooney literally says he had to watch clips of fabregas to learn how to play with RVP... you're chatting out of your ass. There's also a well known story from ex United players where fergie said he'd drop them if they don't learn how to get the ball to RVP... do your research before commenting
@devil5adv0ca8
29 күн бұрын
What are you saying? Rooney already had 80 assists in the Prem alone by the time RVP came to United. He knew how to play with a no9 but wanted to know RVPs movement better and how he like receiving the ball so he watched Cesc who had a great connection with him. You're acting like Rooney needed help knowing how to pass on general. This is RVP specifically and there's nothing wrong with that. They had a great connection and won us our 20th title. Don't know why you're attacking me like I said something outlandish lol

i was lucky enough to train at Arsenals training ground and saw RVPs first training session. The players were in awe watching him take freekicks. Every one was either in top bins or keeper made a worldie save.

Rvp is a genius at striking
Arsenal fan since 2002 here, Rvp was the most clinical striker I've ever seen, his body was specially designed for maximum destruction especially in front of goal, he could hit the ball so hard yet so clean it was nuts.

Van Persie knew how to twist his body to find the target no matter how it came at him
kids will never know how good cesc was. He was slow, he had no tricks, no real flair, but he took the ball and defenses would retract because he could pick someone out that quick. He ran games on his own. I remember how Arsenal played with him and after him and it was two different teams,

Wenger not bringing him back and let Chelsea took him was really what i think a big mistake. Arsenal had first refusal right in Fabregas Barca contract. And choosing a super injury-prone Cazorla as Fabregas replacement?! Cazorla couldn't even start ahead of Fabregas in Spain NT. That's why Arsenal became a Europa League team from a UCL team. Hence Wenger got booed by his own fans in his last seasons with Arsenal
"Did it help?" Bro basically said you cant guard me😂
Robin always grazy goals
I always said RVP is just behind Henry and Suarez as the best striker in Premier league. If it's not for injuries, his numbers would be even better 💥👌

Van Persie was on par with Bergkamp talent-wise.Absolutely excellent .Pity he was injured for long periods every single season, maybe the exception is last season at Arsenal.
RVP had insane finishing he got it ✅️
It’s hard to think of a better pure passer than Fabergas.
Eduardo was a fantastic finisher before his injury.
Cant think of a better clinical finisher than Henry that Cesc wouldve played with😊
David Villa and Van Persie were sick finishers. Villa had the better finesse, RVP was better outside the box
Rooney is very humble
The Arsenal medical team struggled to keep RVP fit for a few years. If they had, his numbers would have been insane.
