Hello, the boys have not talked about their own sexual orientation, but have said and done interesting things among the limits of korean society, for example: -Suga has a lyric written by him that says: "Either you are a boy or a girl my tongue will make you come" -RM shared a rec of music "Same Love" by Macklemore, and added that he liked the song even more when he knew the meaning of the song. -They were asked directly about their opinion on same sex love, and Suga said "its love, it shouldn't be a problem. That's all". -JK is fan of Troye Sivan and has covered songs from him, recomended songs from him and even edited a video with Jimin of a trip they did together with one song of Troye. -They collabored with an openly bisexual woman, and are really good friends with her: Halsey. -In the BBMA's they aplauded with entuciasm and noded during the speech by Imagine Dragons. This is really special coming from RM who is fluid in english, but we know the other boys are learning english too and some like JK and Suga understand even tho they cant express as well as RM. Edit: -RM made his speech at the UN(UNICEF ) gender neutral and refered to "gender identity" and not only "sexual orientation". -They make most of their lyrics gender neutral so it can be interpreted from any perspective (boy/girl boy/boy and girl/girl).

They never talk about about orientation, dating life or family. Sometimes they mention their family, like in a live stream, like Jungkook will mention that his Dad has just texted him. Btw, BTS all live in one house and they’ve been doing that since 2011/2012. So they don’t see their families much at all as none of BTS are from Seoul so all their families live hours away. Thanks for the reaction! 💜

Korean age is different than other places. When babies are born they are already considered to be one year old. Then, every new year you gain a year. So, depending on the time of year Korean age can add one or two years to someone’s age.

I don't usually comment on anything, but I feel like I should just this one time (as a member of the lgbt community who has followed bts for years). Bts have voiced support of the lgbt community several times. There are several tweets and videos from lgbt fans about BTS's reactions to seeing their rainbow flags and signs at concerts. Including a video of Taehyung seeing a lgbt loves bts sign and holding his hand on his heart and mouthing thank you. Namjoon voiced support as early as 2013. And He also wrote a song called Party(xxo) for the group GLAM, and it's basically a bisexual anthem. He also made sure to use the words 'gender identity' in his UN speech. Using other inclusive language and writing gender neutral songs. Taking photos with lgbt artists MNEK (who worked on one of their albums) and Rina Sawayama. Also recommended MNEK's music during a livestream. He also shared a Troye Sivan song from the Love Simon soundtrack on twt. Edit:He also went an art exhibition in LA featuring lgbt art. Yoongi said about lgbt "there's nothing wrong. Everyone is equal." Yoongi also said in an old interview that he's not limited to heterosexuality (or that his preference is not limited to the opposite gender). Many people of course claimed this to be mistranslated, however that claim has also been claimed to have been debunked years ago (though it's still best to take it all with a grain of salt because we still don't know the truth for sure, and people got really heated about this back in the day and still argue about it). Yoongi also wrote the lyrics "whether it's a guy or girl my tongue will take you to Hong Kong" in cypher part 3 (Hong Kong is a euphemism for orgasm). Also 'flowjob'. Nice play on words, Yoongi. Oh, and the time he said he preferred manly men when asked about male looks. Was he serious or just playing along? The public will probably never know. But at least we know for sure he's cool with lgbt. Then there's Jungkook who shared on twt a song from Years and Years about secretly being in love with a boy. Jungkook and Namjoon also covered Fools by Troye Sivan, as well as made a song for their fans which contains the lyrics "I know you love me boy, so that I love you". Jungkook also used another Troye song in his video edit GCF in Tokyo. And both Jungkook and Jimin have mentioned wanting to collab with Troye Sivan. Teahyung has also listened to Troye's songs during live streams. Jimin and Hoseok have danced to Youth by Troye (there are videos). Taheying's favorite photographer Ante Badzim is openly gay. Taehying also mentioned liking another photographer, who I have forgotten the name of, who is also gay and takes a lot of photos of his boyfriend and also nude photography. They are all good friends with Halsey who is bi/pan and complimented her 2019 bbma performance (which was super gay). Jungkook and Taehyung also got asked out by male fans and said yes let's go (of course the fans didn't seriously expect to go on dates with them and they knew that, so it was all for fun, but it's still very sweet). Oh yeah and then there's their CEO going off and sharing a bunch of lgbt songs on twt in 2015. That was wild. There's probably more that I've momentarily forgotten about. But basically, bts are supportive and welcoming to lgbt fans and have a lot of them. They will probably not disclose their own orientations publicly (at least not for several years). They are also super comfortable with each other and have no problems showing affection and cuddling with each other. They also have no issue calling other men handsome and complimenting them. No toxic masculinity here anymore. PS same sex marriage is not illegal in South Korea. Illegal implies punishable by law. Same sex marriage is just not legitimate in the eyes of the law. Gay Koreans do hold their own marriage ceremonies but they are not considered 'real' weddings. Director Kim-Jho Gwang-soo married his boyfriend, even invited celebrity guests. South Korea also has their own Pride celebration called Seoul Queer Festival.

In korea you are born as age one year and every newyear you age one year so if you are born the 31/12 you will 2 days after your birth be 2 years old. Also you should check out their solo songs on the wings album, they are so amazing and emotional. Dont do the videos for them because they are not related to the song at all, start with a lyric video. The solos are: RM - reflection Jin - awake suga - first love Jhope - mama Jimin - lie V - stigma Jungkook - begin They also have a solo on love yourself answer

They do indeed teach English in Korea, and many although not fluent, do speak and understand various levels of English. Some Koreans (mostly older Koreans) have a somewhat irrational, but understandable fear of English. As far as the age goes, they're considered 1 at birth and also another year older, when the new year starts. It's sometimes called lunar age, nominal age, or East Asian age reckoning, but in Korea, it's just called Korean age.

However, nowadays, for the purpose of age, most Koreans go by the Gregorian calendar, which starts January 1st (their yangnyeok saeng-il), rather than their lunar new year (their eumnyeok saeng-il), though many older gens still use lunar.

fun fact bts live together and have since debut. that's probably one of the big factors as to why they're basically family at this point. used to be all jammed in a one bedroom apartment back when they were dirt poor. they've moved to a few different places since then, but always had to share rooms until recently they have moved into some massive, super exclusive high-security apartment now and have their own rooms. except jimin and j-hope have been roommates the last few years and are both known to get lonely easily, so they decided to continue sharing a room at this new place anyway, but the others all have their own now for the first time since like 2013. so they are all REAL close at this point lmao.

So BTS don't comment on their sexuality or dating life and very little on their family, but incredibly open about basically everything thing else and make a tp of blogs, reality shows and often live stream to talk with fans...like actually talk. All of which gets translated into tons of languages within hours by their amazing fans. But several members have spoken about supporting the LGBT community and a cool thing about BtS is with the past few years they purposefully leave pronouns out their songs. Specifically love songs. So they don't have to be only between a boy and girl and they have said outright that those songs are meant to be interpreted to be about any kind of love. Between any couple, or sometimes also between friends or your love relationship with yourself. They just finished their series about self love. Anyways yeah it still is very taboo for kpop stars to even talk about dating let alone sexual orientation and most good ARMYs try and respect BTS boundaries they set. You SHOULD check out a solo artist called Holland!! He's basically the first kpop artist to debut while openly gay! (There's a few from other countries in the industry and a very few who came out after they retired) check out his song "Not Afraid Anymore" and I dare you not to feel some type of way!!! But yeah I think I only know of like 4 openly gay Korean celebrities so yeah... Holland is a pretty big step

The simplest way to explain Korean way of giving you your age is you add all the years you lived in. So for example a child that was born on December 31st, 2018, would already be 2 years old on January 1st, 2019. (It is rarely used with newborns, but it is the easiest way to explain it really). I really enjoy your reactions to BTS. There are a lot of things I would like to recommend to you as a new fan (not really a staff to react to, but a great content). First of all, RUN!BTS - a variety show on Vlive (I will leave you a link in the next comment) made specially for BTS, where BTS plays different games, completes various chalenges and gives you a laugh of your life once a week or so (sometimes they go on hiatus with the show, but there are other staff on vlive to enjoy, like members lives where they talk about things they do etc., RM does making of albums and talks about each song from his perspective as a writer and producer, Jin hosts his EAT JIN sometimes etc.; there is also pay-per-view content there: Bon Voyage Seasons 1-3 where they go on vacations and have to survive without their managers, season 1 - Norway, season 2 - Hawaii, season 3 - Malta [if you can't afford it but really want to watch it you can find it on the dailymotion or somewhere]). That was a long first one. Secondly, their music - I wouldn't mind if you reacted to their B-sides. If you enjoyed "Mikrokosmos", I would 100% recommend "Whalien 52", inspired by the story of a whale who can't communicate with other whales bc it uses unusual frequency of 52 Hz. Another one is "134340" which is a new name of Pluto after it was decided it's not a planet anymore. I also love "Paradise", "Tomorrow", "The Truth Untold". For each album they have an intro song that is a solo of one of the members (totally would recommend all of them, but the most recent ones (that have MVs) are: PERSONA, Epiphany, Singularity, Serendipity, Boy Meets Evil, Nevermind. There is also Euphoria that is not exactly the same, but it has a video that is a part of the BTS Universe storyline...) Apart from their solo songs in BTS albums they work simultaniously on their solo projects as individuals. They post those on their soundcloud (soundcloud.com/bangtan): Jimin - Promise V - Scenery RM - mono (it's a mixtape/playlist of 7 songs, Forever Rain, moonchild and seoul have MVs on YT, but it is made to be listened as a playlist from beginning to an end) J-Hope - Hope World (mixtape, MVs for Daydream and Airplane) SUGA - AGUST D (mixtape under alias AGUST D [Daegu Town SUGA backwards] from 2016, MVs for AGUST D and Give It To Me on YT, we are promised a new mixtape someday) Jungkook - multiple covers Jin - some covers, but apparently he's working on a solo song I really should stop writing. Probably TL;DR XD (Link below)

They actually do teach English in Korea and it's a very important subject. You won't get into a good university of you don't pass in English and their SAT for English is much harder than the ones that native speakers take. It's like that for many Asian countries including mine, Mathematics, English and our own language (Bangla, in my case) are the core subjects. You fail in any one of these and you're done for. But instead of focusing on the school curriculum, RM just watched the seasons of friends first with Korean subtitles, then with English subtitles and finally without the help of subtitles and by that time he was fluent. So he watched all the seasons of Friends 3 times just to learn English which apparently his mom forced him to do. He's grateful to his mom now tho lmao. His iq is 149 btw which is way above average. He was the nation's top 1% in English, math and Korean language.

Ok I don't like any explanations of Korean age commented here yet so I'll give it a go even though I've already commented a ton. Koreans count age by how many CALENDAR YEARS you've been alive for. So if a child is born December 1995 it has been alive during the year 1995 and could be called 1 year old. In January 1996 it has been alive during the CALENDAR YEARS 1995 and 1996 and could be called 2 years old even though it's only been born for 2 months. In this way everyone in Korea turns a year older on New Years Day and they don't celebrate personal birthdays as much but New Year's is LIT! Also means everyone born in the same year is you is considered the same age as you. Which is important because everything in Korea revolves around age and respecting your elders. Even their language. There's entire different forms of language to use with some older, the same age as, or younger than you. Even if they are older or younger by just one year! So I can actually use BTS as an example. Jin was born in December 1992 and Suga was born in March 1993, just 3 months later, but Suga has to treat Jin politely and speak to him with respect because he was born ina different year. Also why the video mentioned Jin not using his power as the oldest much. Actually really important for the unity of a group where RM, the middle in age, is leader. If Jin was overbearing which is within his culture rights to be it would undermine their unity. It's actually pretty rare for a Kpop group to have a leader who isn't the oldest. It's usually easier to pick that way because the oldest already has the most respect within their culture. Some Asian cultures do count the time of conception as beginning of life and so when you're born you are already 9 months old and so can just add 9 months to age but not Korea. It's CALENDAR YEARS. So Korean age will always be 1-2 years (depending on when in the year they were born) more than international age (what we use) That's why pretty much every every Korean celebrity's profile with have their birth year to avoid explaining all this. Also when someone asks you how old you are I. Korea you can just respond with the year you were born and it's a very common, non rude question because people are just trying to figure out joy much older or younger you are than them so they know how to treat you

Everyone in Korea must take English in middle school and all through high school. But it's also one of the most difficult languages for Korean speakers to learn and vice versa. But RM is also a certifiable genius with his gifts being in language. Like his IQ was tested well above genius level and he scored in the top 1% of students before he began slacking off studies to follow his passion for lyrics and music. God is fair though so he's a member who really struggles with dancing and is a walking disaster area. He's super clutch and breaks everything...even his own finger against his knee in a dance practice because he used to much strength and once cut his face because he accidentally hit himself with a mic on stage

The least some of them have said about sexual orientation was that they had girlfriends in the past or that they had a crush on a girl when younger. They've never said more than that and of course people could speculate but at the end of the day the reality is that we don't know. We only know what they share. Also Korea is different from western society in how men act around each other. They're a lot more affectionate, just like women tend to be, so that might be confusing too, from a westerner's point of view, because they might label it as something else than friendship. It's a little backwards that although there's this acceptance of male on male affection, sexual orientation is still frowned upon. It's getting better I guess, but the process is slow. However, they (BTS) are supportive of minorities in general including gender non-conforming people and all sexual orientations. In the past they had the same ideology but weren't as loud about it, whereas nowadays, they're starting to show their support more heavily and I really appreciate them for that. I also appreciate the fact that a lot of their songs are gender neutral or ambiguous and that they even have a fan dedicated song on their soundcloud in which they share their love to both their girls and boys in the fandom.

💜💜💜 it's been so long since I've watched your channel. I remember back when you were in season 5 of supernatural. And now youve found BTS! My boys who have stolen my attention for the last 3 years. Still love SPN and Doctor Who and all that jazz, but Kpop... it's very deep well. One that you find yourself happy to drown in. Anyways now I'll have to go binge all your videos again! ☺️😆 plz keep loving my boys! They're actually the best thing to happen to this world in a long time and work their asses off like no one else and deserve all the love they get. Plus they're actually just crack heads. Media thinks BTS is popular cause they're pretty but really it's because they're inspirational...complete idiots

They keep their sexualities to themselves but all of them do support LGBT rights.
