I found that there's a pretty cool meaning behind Aphelios's name. It derives from the word Aphelion which means the furthest point from the sun in a celestial body's orbit. I found that pretty interesting considering they're Lunari, it's very fitting!

here we go instead of leveling up his abilities, phel level up his stats - lethality, AD, attack speed He have 5 weapons. He can use only 2 of them at the same time. Every weapon have ammo, once ammo gone, he swap gun to a new in line. Line goes in this way: your primal, your second, your next, your next, your next. So you cant swap weapon backwards, only forward. Think of it as a chamber of revolver. Every weapon have its special ability - Q abillity to be specific. Every weapon when its being secondary, also have its passive effect that apply when you using primal weapon ability, because q ability apply a mark i think thats all

Now we need a Solari assasin to even things out in game

Pantheon got his powers from the Aspect of War, as did other Targonian champions, while Aphelios/Alune's powers comes from celestial shifts, not godly beings. That's what Necrit meant I think.

Aphelios' ult could be that he loses access to abilities (he's mute = silenced) but his attacks get enhanced, and maybe some of his abilities have passives that only work during the ult

Make a how old is every champion according to the lore based on the canon timeline ... if anything from the official timeline gives new information

So the blade behind draven in the Awaken music video was one of this champ's weapon.

Imagine Alune being released as a champion in the future while Aphelios gets a rework where he gets to use the Moonstone weapons without Alune’s help and not using the Noctume essence anymore (for voice lines) because he doesn’t feel pain anymore even without the essence.

"Dark times for the Lunari...." pun intended?

My guess on his possible abilities (TLDR at the bottom): Feel like he will have an ability that allows him to switch guns (judging from the October Champion Roadmap passage), probably 3 or more types (moon phases? New, half, full, and maybe waning/waxing cresent or eclipse). One of the range weapons might be a chain-scythe (looking at the splash art), but scythe doesn't shoot, and thus contradicts a bit with the short summary... Or maybe a scythe that shoots out moonlight beams? After reading through his bio, I think he's a long-ranged assassin/adc (“Aphelios’ training as an assassin has been given reach by Alune’s magic-his blades now an arsenal of mystical weapons” --bio), weilding magical blades that can shift into other forms (“With a whisper, she pushed magic into his hands-a replacement for his *blades* solidifying into moonstone.” --bio) and shoots out moonlight when slashing. Probably dealing on-hit magical/true damage? (Alune “reveal hidden pathways and the truths by the moon's light”--bio) Might have an ability to go over walls (hidden pathways), and probably has an ability related to his sister that gives him buffs. Supposingly activating this ability will grant him a buff to deal on-hit effects as said above. Might also be the passive though. Switching the blades might alternate how the moonlight is being shot, maybe varying in distance, AS, crit damage/chance, physical/magical penetration, attack type (balistic/beam) or whatnot. Looking back at the splash art, he might be able to summon his sister for help in times? His ult might be summoning his sister into battle and buffing his abilities? *TL:DR* Let's see... Concluding my spectulation: *Passive* : Sister's magic made him a ranged assassin. Probably also made him deal on-hit magical damage. Edit: On second thought, since the swapping weapons are like “swapping through them like cycles of the moon” (October Roadmap passage), maybe the weapons change base on time passage instead of manually changing it? *Q* : Maybe a skill shot/ability based on his current weapon. *W* : Switching weapons (@TF's card shuffling)? Might alternate how his autos play out, and maybe even change Q's effect. If R is the changing weapon ability (Jayce-like), then W might be summoning his sister's power for a buff. Maybe W will activate the on-hit effect for deaing True damage, and the passive only deals magical damage. *E* : Gussing it's assassin/mobility related, most likely a dashing ability that allows him to escape from/engage into situations. Should be able to dash through walls, and maybe being untargetable during dash (looking at that “hidden pathways” line, could be a pathway to get out of dangerous situations) *R* : Maybe summoning his sister's power for some effect, or this might be the weapon changing one (looking at you Jayce).

Gotta admit he’s a really really cool champion your playing 2 in 1 and she uses words to inspire him while in game

Alune would be a great support champ, It would be amazing if she had her own kit and then a combined kit with her brother! Riot plz.

He coud be like Jayce and have a weapon changing ultimate

Pedro Vilar or every ability it’s a new weapon and her basic attacks are ranged like the marksman he is supposed to be :) (it’s just I theory).

I really hope Aphelios's ult will be something like Aatrox ult prerework where they gain combat stats, and if they story is a hint he might get some some sort of ranged weapon if there isn't one already in his basic abilities

Is that brinstar theme in the background? Good choice

He's not an assassin in game, confirmed by a Rioter. They also said that Qiyana is a mage in the lore, but assassin in game.

well not really.... riot only say he will be a markman the thing is.... in league we have secondary role.... like jhin primary markman secondary assassins.... so yeah he will be markman and assassin due to his cycle of weapon... range and melee when u use range weapon he became marksmen when u use melee he became assassins....

how do i know? u can pretty much know his main gimmick by reading his lore... HECK even his fking splash art shows that he have multiple weapons....that's how champ works.... and jhin secondary not an assassin? uh ok it must be other adc then....

@@syahidirhassan4846 If you read Qiyana's lore you'd think she's an AP mage. The lore isn't representative of the class the character plays in game. Cycling through weapons doesn't mean melee to ranged. It could be like Jinx where she has short range machine gun or long range rockets. And Jhin is not an assassin IN GAME, he's a psycho murderer in LORE (note: not assassin in game or lore). Jhin's secondary is obviously utility which you can check for yourself. Riot calls it 'Catcher'. Do you understand what an assassin is?

Tbh, your prediction of the Aphelios abilities are better then they now are

Going back to this video months later to enjoy some targon lore ☺️ I like how he predicted talon style mobility for this champ who ended up having zero 😂
