Assalamu alaikum brother,It's okay, don't worry. When we were young, we sometimes did things without understanding fully. Making sujood to show someone your shirt as a child doesn't mean you're a kafir. We learn and grow over time. Keep seeking knowledge and Allah will guide us.

Being good does not necessarily mean making them happy. Most scholarly people do not entirely explain the interpretation of this Hadeeth. Being good may not mean making them "happy." Some people cannot be made to be happy. They must find happiness for themselves. If my wife isn't happy, do I buy her a house, more jewelry, a car, cook, clean, and buy her more clothing?! Then, if she is not happy, am I NOT GOOD?! Bal, this is not being "good." The best to their family, what does that actually mean. Anyone who has been married knows that there is much explanation to be desired from that statement. Some people will only be happy if they have more than others; what do you do then?!
