I was a bit surprised to find out that a lot of people not knowing (not their mistake though it’s the sellers fault probably) that momo comes with a soup. It’s so common here in Northeast and also specially in Tibet,Nepal. Either chicken or mutton soup is served. Fizzy drink is something which we would never have along with momos 😃

Ikr , I live in Bengal very much near ganktok and darjeeling and tbh when i hear they don't serve momo with clear soup and momo filling has carrots and capsicum and garam masala in it ... I'm like bro that's not momo .

Technically, there is a clear soup with Momos which has, unfortunately, been removed from the menu when ordering a momo in Deli - NCR and seems like in Mumbai as well.

Momos with soups are normal in the Northeast area along with the red chutney!! 🤤 You can add one momo in the soup along with the chutney for added effect in your palate 🎉

Vishal, bring them to Assam sometimes. Every momo corner here serves spicy yet delicious chicken or mutton soup with momo. Momo with soup is an emotion here.

Vishal's order is a fusion of nepali kothey momo and the broth they serve you in kolkata along with steamed momo. Just brilliant 😍

All the street stalls in West Bengal serve momo with clear soup and red chutney..and the combination is really good!

I am so happy that Aniket KNOWSSS about momo!!! 1. Don’t over complicate momo. 2. No MAYO!! And Momo is ALWAYS served with clear soup here (North East, North Bengal)

I think in the whole of east india we eat momos with hot soup even in Bengal we eat it with soup even 6:41

In Gangtok and any hill station near Bengal momo is served with unlimited clear soup (basically it's just broth with salt and pepper and you have it by mixing the spicy chutney served with momos . ) And the filling of every good momo I've had has plain onion and chicken minced with ginger coriander and msg or ajinamoto . And veg momo has cabbage onion and coriander filling with msg ofc (in some places they make filling with squash because it grows in abundance in these areas and it is amazing) and it beats any other momo with masaledar filling . Momo is supposed to be soulful and simple. The chutneyy is spiceyyy!

the ones Vishal ordered are called Pot Stickers and in the north-east people always have momos with soup

I was literally face-palming when they didn’t know that momo with soup is a thing. Being a Delhiite, my perfect winter date is having chicken momo with clear soup at Dilli Haat!

In West Bengal we can't imagine momo without soup, that's the best part and from various restaurants to every fast food shops and street vendors the soup determines the quality.

In North East and west Bengal momo in incomplete without a clear chicken soup

In college days in Guwahati I used to eat stall momos with unlimited soup with spicy chutney for 20 with my hostel buddies. In Mumbai they serve with Mayo and no soup.

Here in NE india with Evey momo order we get soup. Also it term of Mayo, i like to mix the red chutney and the other hot sauce with Mayo and it's tastes so good 😌

You guys should probably start making food vlogs with everyone from this series. I would 100% watch it. Y'all are a joy to watch.

I grew up majority of my life abroad, when I came for college and made a lot of friends from NE. There was a nepali family that ran a momo stall near my uni, and I always ended up there with my friends when it rained. They served these amazing chilli momos that were fried in this chilli gravy. It was spicy and tangy and the best I have ever had. I miss them so much right now.

To those who surprised by the combination, Momo supposed to be eat with soup actually 😒,, Momo without Soup like pani puri(phuska) without the "Pani" 😐

As a Nepali, it brings joy to my heart seeing people pronouncing momo as momo and not momos. Well done buzzfeed, you won the hearts of Nepali people.

In Assam and basically Northeast soup with momos is such a normal day to day thing.Also you are supposed to eat the momos first and sip the spoon..Like that's how I do it and it's heaven 🤧

If they visit Nepal, I would love to show them around the best momo places around Pokhara! ❤🎉 Y'all would love the authentic taste around here!

Momo is a Tibetan dish. The traditional pronunciation and spelling is Mokmok. It is a dumpling usually filled with yak, mutton, lamb, or beef, the newari style is almost always made of chicken and buffalo, because beef is not consumed by the Newari people and pork is a no no. The best momos you will find outside of Tibet are in Ladakh and Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh hands down. Momo is eaten across the Tibetan Plateau, Nepal, Ladakh, Himachal, Uttarakhand, and even in Gilgit-Baltistan of Pakistan.

Shamelessly, I tried momo with mayo once... and its now an addiction 😅

Mayo do tastes good with mayo. Maybe only here where I have eaten (at Ramkrishna Nagar College canteen,,, homemade mayo💗💗)

It’s easier to tell whose order is whose because of the drinks xD everyone knows aniket likes Diet Coke, Aishwarya likes thumbs up etc etc

I'd prefer Vishal's order because it was a full on refreshing meal. like 시원해 in korean [ refreshing feeling while eating hot foods, especially stews and dumpling soups]

Note, Momo is a popular type of dumpling originating from Tibet and loved/adapted also in Nepal
