The part about artists in jail....oh my god!!! Hes just too good... what he does needs lots of guts. Not easy. That was a powerful statement actually. The main issue in today's world is people not seeing what the Govt is/isn't doing. You see it, you acknowledge it, and then decide for yourself if it is correct or incorrect. For instance, the Farm Laws. I won't comment against/for these laws, because I haven't personally read these laws (and I cannot trust the media or their interpretation of these laws). But the idea is, if you are protesting against/for these laws, have a complete idea before doing so, or you loose credibility. I have met just so many people who somehow cannot defend their stand (for or against) over these laws. This makes the situation all the more vulnerable.

Just because someone resonates with your thought process and falls in the same metaphysical category as yourself, doesn't mean they make more sense than someone else. That might be true but under a very specific set of per-determined context(s) and setting(s). People do make sense and people do not. It's just NOT comparable! Oversimplification of Cultural and Sociological layers under the 'I-KNOW-IT-ALL' hood is disastrous. We are a SINGLE species with highly comparable IQs. You (just like any other Homo sapiens) are a product of ~300 million years of highly complex evolutionary process. Try behaving like that! Your comment might seem 'WOKE' at the outset, but you're actually undermining the thinking capabilities and intellect of all those who voted (or didn't) for those very politicians! P.S.: I do believe we HAVE freedom of speech! Btw, y'all ever heard of Middle East!?

I agree that I can’t base my perception on the fact that my ideology highly resembles with his’ but I still think that the comment I made was more about how politicians rarely make sense than about Vir making sense more than anyone else. Also, it is rather sad that while my comment was just specifically towards appreciating Vir, your comprehension of it was more focused on the remark that the bigots in our country don’t make sense, which, I think, adds weight to it more than anything else can.

@@vanidua7636 I think you interpreted my reply in a much opposite manner as compared to my intentions. A highly 6-9 kinda scenario is likely. That might be due to my inability to exploit our language of conversation that well. Anyways, as I continued to read the comments, I found a highly repetitive pattern, much similar to your original comment! Therefore, I just posted an original comment. Read it if you can. The issue is highly debatable and I'd love to have a marathon conversation on the very topic but this medium of communication is not appropriate for reasons more than one. So let's rest it right here! Btw, I strongly believe that politicians do make sense 100% of time. It's just their INDIA differs from your INDIA!

I’m preferably disagreeing with you on how you think politicians make sense 100% of the time. I’m not adding anything to it because not only the statistic you presented was gravely naive but also it was followed by a statement which makes me wonder how much YOUR India would match the vision of politicians’ India and that’s just scary because if it does, I’m more or less going to regret indulging in a conversation with someone who doesn’t have much-unaccounted authority as a politician but still parallels, that too proudly, the mental state of the latter.

@@vanidua7636 Look, that's the fun part of it and something which frustrates me, simultaneously. '100%' was not a statistical data at all. It was more of a figure of speech. As far as my thought for INDIA is concerned, I don't think it perfectly aligns to any of the politicians' idea. A prime example of that would be the very fact that I do support complete Freedom Of Speech, including Blasphemy, unlike many politicians. I have got my own set of aspirations and ideas of an ideal INDIAN society and while they're mostly self-brewed, people do tend to see them through some sort of filter. But that is totally fine because just like me, you and everyone else here has got a mind to think and a medium to express (and the freedom to do so as well)! Are my ideas my own? Yes! At least till the BIG CRUNCH! Peace :)

This is so much needed in today's mad world! His comedy is like a breeze of fresh air! Thank you!!!

I can keep listening to him all day and will still love every bit of it 🤩

Really what he said is true... Look at us, I'm a South Indian and it really pains me to say that for a sport like jallikattu was brought back from ban because it is tradition. It's a game where people get seriously injured, the bull rampages around the people. It's that kind of a sport and the youths protested for so long and managed to revert PETA's ban. But we are not able to bring such change or help the farmers in their protest. I may be wrong in my line of thought but I really can't believe that even after so many negotiations the govt and farmers couldn't come to a middle point. Something is really wrong here
