I've been dealing with chronic eczema for the past 2 years, so I've had to say goodbye to wearing makeup - I try not to let it bother me, but I really do miss it. I always look forward to seeing what makeup looks you guys have put together 🖤 This was such a fun video, I did suspect that Lynn would emerge victorious, but what a quick time!

I have eczema too! I had to stop wearing makeup for two years but thankfully it calmed down over time and as I got older! I use a lotion called Child’s Farm that helps my skin a lot and I make sure to use makeup that’s good for sensitive skin! Also had to try different types before finding ones that helped me ! Along with a skin friendly makeup remover that helped alot! - Lynn

The black eyeliner we use is just a cheap one from Penneys/Primark and the liquid liner is KVD tattoo liner! Which is kinda expensive but works well! I would absolutely love to give eye shadow lessons 🖤🦇

The real winner is the goths we made along the way.

I remember back in the late 90s in highschool using cheap black tube lipstick (probably Wet n Wild) on my eyes and then setting it with black eyeshadow. It was BLACK but definitely didn't have staying power. I'll have to try that again as I'm sure the formulas out now are much better.

It would take me 13 minutes alone to blend out my eyeshadow.

I just found you guys and let me say I adore this channel. I never had the balls to go Goth when I found the culture back in the early 90s, and Hot Topic was a bastion of fashion. Thank you for sharing this! So fun and interesting to see you guys pull this off and have fun doing this. Lynn definitely knows her way around her tools and products! Just awesome to see! And Connor- I know this is unsolicited advice so take it or leave it, I think the big thing slowing you down is your eye shadow brushes. You're using a tiny dense brush to pack on that red shadow, but as you said, that makeup is excellent and super pigmented. A slightly bigger, round and tapered brush will allow you to out the same level off pigment on, easier and a faster especially in the creases and set you up better for blending out as the taper leaves heavy pigment in the centre of where you apply and less on the edges... Then use the smaller denser round brush for the black... also if you know you're going to put black on the lids, save yourself time and just put red on the outside edges of the lid and into the creases. This advice may not necessarily help you beat Lynn in a rematch, but may help overall speed for going out, having fun etc ❤ Much love to you both and rock on 🤘🏻

Oh also, if you're trying to blur the outer edges of the eyeshadow, just use a large very fluffy round brush with zero pigment on it. Typically called a blend brush.. just helps that 'smokey' effect

Hey Conner, when doing the eyeliner try using only your index finger of the subordinate hand to support your dominant hand I find it worked better to prevent shaking than using more fingers to stabilise. It could just be me, but it seems to create a more supportive angle & is easier to keep out of the dominant hands way.

I painted my nails during that video. I got one hand done xD This was awesome. :))

Haha this was great! Thank you for doing this. It takes me longer doing my regular everyday make up. It takes much longer for these looks since I don't it every day. Eyeliner takes more time for me due to fallout. I spend more time on refining and clean up than application.😄

My gf has been asking me to try doing makeup, especially right after we attend shows. I've never done it though, I'm more of the boring type. id like to at least take a crack at it, if only for fun. but i got facial hair and don't wanna shave. is that even possible? 🤔

Omg HOWWWW do you do it so fast??? My base alone takes me like 20 minutes lmao and then an additional 20-35 minutes for eye makeup and lipstick so all in all 40-55 minutes. Even my casual work makeup takes a total of maybe 30 minutes. WHAT IS THIS SORCERY??

I like everything about the goth look, except the same thing that plagued normal humanity for so long. I miss eyebrows. Big thick expressive eyebrows. Glad they are trending again.

The chair is from Valk gaming! It lights up a lot of different colors etc but the bag wings didn't come with it! Lynn added those herself

I never got into doing make-up, because the men of the United States never like it and never want to date over it. Plus, now that I am vegan and gluten free, it is harder to find anything good. I was just wondering if you two have ever tried EPI-LYNX make-up which is vegan and gluten free. I am going to a Placebo concert (are they goth?), on April 24 in NYC and was thinking of trying to do goth makeup for just that one night. The Epi- Lynx vegan makeup does have a white foundation like the ones you wear. But instead of black, I would like a vibrant yellow for my cheeks and eyes. Anyway, what is setting powder for? The women from my family have never used or mentioned that. The men...uh, they don't believe in wearing makeup themselves. Like I said, every white American man just really have no preference for the women who wear it. BUT, Placebo are not American, so that's why I thought of wearing it for them in 2023. Whatever would I do if MONO INC came to America?!!! Anyway, love you both. America needs goths, but just never treated them right, so they have none other than ones practicing in secret.

The timer was hardcoded onto the video at normal speed and THEN the video was sped up. So it is 13 minutes at double speed which results in 6 and a half minutes of footage!
