When I served in the army I met a soldier who was a wiccan, and after a tough time losing my grandfather, he told me to take a walk with him. He led me to the tree line, and sat across from me and told me to hold my hands a certain way, and to breathe with purpose and close my eyes and we sat there listening to the nature around us. The wind through the fall leaves, the creek that ran in the forest we sat in, the birds and then idk I felt this insane connection to this energy around me, I felt connected and at such a supreme peace. It was one of the most profound feelings of bliss and peace, and it both scared me and elated me. Did this at Fort Gordon in Georgia. And as a Christian I felt more intune with myself in that moment than in any church. Just being honest.

i grew up Christian Catholic and even though some of the concepts are beautiful, i have found Wiccan, Paganism and spirituality so much more beautiful in the way they connect w nature, pure energy, genuine deep emotions, knowing we are all part of one. Hence the 5 pointed star pentagram, that stands for all the elements of the earth and our spirit. I love how the belief is you cant have one w out the other. Everything is one

I am a wiccan myself and I do not worship evil although I have been told many many times that I am evil simply because I do not go to church and worship in church. it does no one any good at all to constantly say that all those who are wiccans worship the devil when in fact they do not.

I actually like the vague answers because there isnt any one right answer in Wicca so she leaves it up to interpretation. Adressing the Christian vs Wiccan thing going on here. Christians need to get off their high horses and realise they're not right about everything. The judeo-christian god is incredibly violent and is prone to favoritism. Catholisism is also by definition a polytheistic religion due to saint worship (which they have MANY 'statues' (more like idols) of. I could go on and on but in short Christians are incredibly hypocritical, unaccepting and often unloving. Wiccans believe in acceptance, free love, and most importantly an intimate relationship with the divine. The only thing you shouldn't accept is unacceptance

What I love about the Wiccan religion is that it's not about bowing down in submission and/or fear to anything or anyone, but instead having a sense of divine BELONGING with everything ever created in the universe. It's about understanding, respecting and utilizing NATURAL LAW. And by doing so you take responsibility for your actions by understanding the natural law of 3, which is where 'magic' then comes in. No Wiccan in their right mind will cast an evil spell and even hesitate to use magic upon another sentient being without their knowledge even for good, and the reason being is that Wiccans know what they cast into the Universe, whatever it may be will come back times three according to natural law of karma. In that way they are WAY more conscientious of their actions than traditional religions, especially Christianity. Wiccans take full responsibility of their actions by understanding what they do in this life (and beyond) will eventually come back upon themselves, and in that way they don't separate themselves from their shadow selves like Christians strive to, instead they keep themselves in check by acknowledging whatever action they take will create consequences for themselves in the future, therefore if they harm another through magic or otherwise they WILL reap what they sow. Period. They don't strive to separate themselves from their shadow selves by creating a devil ( like Christians did) to blame their wrongdoings, or try and PRAY it away by feeling guilty and asking for forgiveness from 'the Son of God', a human being so pure they couldn't possibly ever compete with in this incarnation. That is the MAIN thing I love and respect about Wiccans, that they don't separate themselves from heaven or hell because they are aware of the NOW, that sentient beings are the SOLE creators of their own reality, that our reality helps to create others reality as well, which ultimately creates the reality of the UNIVERSE!!! Wiccans CONNECT to everything, and so much of what I see in Christians particularly is SEPARATION from everything around them, DENIAL if you will, denial of celebrating what a ultimately beautiful thing it is to be human and denying OUR inherent partaking of the creation of the universe. In WICCA, humans are just as relevant as the GOD and GODDESS, if on a smaller scale but no less relevant!!!

We don't «worship», we «work with». The dieties are present, so why should we worship them like christians do with Christ? I have respect of different dieties, of different reasons. The last month, I have learned so much about crone goddesses, yet my main diety is Diana. She is a maiden (The young, divine huntress), a mother (The goddess of childbirth and labour) and a crone (Goddess of the underworld, crossroads and witchcraft), in the same woman, but I most often see her as a maiden goddess

Homosexuality and asexuality is not against the will of nature/the divine, there are more genders than cisgender woman and cisgender man. People who are transsexual or none-binary are equally natural to them. Fertility is a gift for those who enjoy it and can use it in their way and being themselves is also a gift. Where do these gifts come from: Nature itself! Who created nature itself according to christians/jews/muslims? God himself!

Wicca is about your personal beliefs. If you believe in and worship the traditional God and Goddess, then great. I personally worship Artemis, Kuu, and Diana as a trinity-Goddess, and Apollo, Nyyrikki, and Vulcan as the God (I also have a friendly spirit guide in Luonnatar, who I accept guidance from and have a relationship with, but don't worship). If you are a traditional Wiccan as your comment suggests, then by the Wiccan Rede you shouldn't ever criticize someone else's beliefs. Wicca is a very open-minded religion, and has many different traditions that people can follow based on their beliefs, or they can even follow an eclectic path and not follow a tradition at all. If your comment clarified that that isn't what your tradition believes, it would be a nice and insightful comment. As it is, though, you are criticizing her beliefs and proselytizing yours.

If you serve someone... you are worshiping them weather you believe it or not. Even giving credit to a goddess or god or spirit is a form of worship. Worship is not just bowing down... there are many forms of worship.... even how you live your life and who you give money to is a form of worship... who you look up to or idolize is also a form of worship. I can agree with this! Worship can be as simple as praying to someone in the car on your way to work. Any moment shared with them, especially when you're alone, is like incense to the gods. They adore our attentions because it uplifts their existences! It's really wonderful. I think the difference here is that people view their deities as different "things". There isn't a specific "species" that a "god" has to be. Like... The Christian God is a Demiurge who is humanoid. He incarnated on Earth as a human like other gods and goddesses have throughout history. Other gods aren't Demiurge, but rather BECAME the universe. Other gods are demiurgic, but still dwell inside the universe and perhaps are the children of those that BECAME the universe. Some Wiccans see the gods as mere energies. Just laws of nature that can be used advantageously! Your model of the universe will drastically change what worship truly means to you.

Yes, Persephone from the Greek pantheon. Many Wiccans (myself included) believe in a pantheon (or many, I believe in three) which they feel represents what the God and Goddess mean to them. Artemis (Greek), Kuu (Finnish), and Diana (Roman) are what I believe the Goddess is: wildlife, night, fertility. Apollo (Greek), Nyyrikki (Finnish), and Vulcan (Roman) are what I believe the God is: day, the hunt, and craftsmanship. It just helps put a name and a face to what you worship, which would otherwise just be the various parts of nature. Others have different beliefs, and some don't believe in any gods at all. It's all down to your personal beliefs. Wicca is a very open and personal religion.

Yes, but there are aspects of magick that you are legally not allowed to access. Also, if your family disallows you the freedom to practice then you cannot. It would be best to practice after the age of 18, or whenever you leave your parents' house.

I started wicca at 13 so don't see why not. Just be carful :) for your first spell, do a protective one. So that your other spells are not effected bye negative energies

Dragged. jj , no Wicca is not bad. Wicca teaches about harming no one, not even yourself. It teaches about respect of nature, putting out positiveness because what you put out comes back to you three fold. So you wouldn't want bad to come back to you three fold. That's why you can say Wicca is not bad.

It's vague because the Wiccan religion is so person. It's so different for different witches. Some are called by certain deities. Some are not. Some believe in energy that separates, some believe in actual gods and goddesses.

'Living in harmony with the embodiment of the divine' which she states as nature, or the natural. But then goes on to address that it's a part of 'creation'. So... the creation is divine and not the Creator? Hmmm

As a Wiccan I do not believe in a creator, I believe the creation creates and sustains itself. So to me, the creation is divine as it is both creation and creator, and we are all a part of this. So we are divine and so is everything natural, and we should live in harmony with all other energy. :)

The magic in Harry Potter has nothing to do with the actual, real magick, rituals, spellcasting, prayers and religious worship (some witches work with deities, some don´t; yet witchcraft itself is a practice, not a religion). Actually, I´ve done my research recently, and it seems in the world of HP there is every religion present (christianity, buddhism, judaism, etc) EXCEPT FOR wicca. And that is, according to what J. K. allegedly said, because the concept of wiccan magick is so different from the ´magic´that has been shown in the famous HP books and movies. Hopefuly this helped. Be blessed!

Worship just means to honor or show reverence and respect to a divine being or spirit. If you are doing these things then you are doing worship.

"It's a trick question" the only trick here is the one the devil is playing on you. Making you think you don't worship anyone, but in reality you worship him whether you realize it or not, by denying Jesus Christ.

Likes at 666. Noice. I don't think she explained it well. While I haven't practiced in some time....I know what Wicca is and what it isn't. Yeah, we don't all pray to a certain deity but most of us have our favorites. We pray to the goddesses. They are the foremothers that brought us here. We can practice alone or in a coven. I practiced in the past and am trying to get back into it. We all pray to the Goddesses.

That's because Wicca is a very personal form of "religion." You are meant to find your own answers and it is different for everyone! I also think you are being quite hypocritical. Since you speak of Jesus, I am going to go off of the assumption that you worship him. The bible is also very vague and is heavily based upon interpretation. Hate is a sin, Bobby. We are meant to love our neighbors and treat them with respect. Do better, Bobby.

So... Wiccans don't worship any "deity" but have relationship with many of them? As she claimed one of those was goddess diana... But they believe themselves are like gods? If there is no God or Creator as she literally said, how can then anyone explain the perfect design in nature, wild life, even this body which is just a vessel? If anyone believes to be some kind of god or their own god... they wouldn't have any problem to create a rose, a bee or anything around us... Which shows us there is intelligent design, perhaps it must be A INTELLIGENT DESIGNER aka creator... But we can't, why would I choose to worship the creation instead of THE CREATOR? idolatry as its called... As Lucifer and his crew were witnesses before the creation of the earth and all things... And as we know the creation can't surpass their creator... Which lead them to deceive, lie, destroy and hide the truth... As all of those who are under their control have taken either one or more oaths, thus biden or selling their soul for either fame, power, money, etc...
