So, what do we really mean when we talk about art's value? And, in the world of art, who gets to decide?

nobody talks about money laundering, i guess that's just in my head then.
Furries are paying tons of money for digital commisions of thier fursonas. I'd love to know what art historians think of this trend. As its funding small time and full time digital artist in every part of the globe and it's often "not safe for work" in its focus.

A current question could be, what is the difference between the affect of current astronomical auction prices on art from the affect of "astronomical" wealth in the past, of church and monarchical patrons, on art?

who decides who should die and who should not die?
The International Launderette game.
Art without intuition is worthless. Intuition is what gives it worth. Intuition is an inner artist process that essentially cannot be sold. Ultimately the value is in what the artist achieved intuitively. The collector gets to buy the outer sign of this inner artistic process.

Value is by your emotions. Value your art by how you feel. This should always be the basis. Art is used for money laundering so crap art will always be out their pushing the ceiling 😅.
