It's so funny hearing that Jose isn't good with young players when as a Roma fan he has really given our young players a go and sung their praises when they've deserved it. He's also been given a limited budget with us and has done well in a project system.

13 points out in 4th place on a limited budget in an inferior league and all of a sudden he's good enough to contend in the PL? Look at what Xabi Alonso is doing with Leverkusen and Unai Emery with Aston Villa on limited budgets. Mourinho's style of play and man management skills are both nowhere near the level of Pep nor Klopp even with an unliimited budget.

@@onlydbrasko you say his man management is terrible but he has every player in the team playing for him, and the players routinely say that as well, all of them from the captains to the youth players, he attends our Primavera matches to encourage them and they all love him. Even after he had his falling out with Karsdorp they've since made up and he plays regularly again too, you've got no idea what you're talking about about. Also, were 4th in a league that had teams in the finals and semi finals of every European competition last year, I wouldn't exactly call that an inferior league.

He can do it with less money. People say that he let go of KDB and Salah but forget he bought Fabregas and Costa with the money and he already had Hazard. He's operating in Roma with no budget rn and they're doing okay.

Good little set up of folk on the kick off now. If there is one thing that sticks, is that Brian will always make a good show, no matter the cast.

Poch understands what needs to be done and how to do it but it ain't happening right now,a huge factor is the number of injuries yet again this season.

I think you pointed out the most important point. What we should try to do is sell some of the young lads in summer and bring in one or two world class players to ensure a certain level of performance and then repeat it the next few seasons. Do some research on the brainiac that is the Brighton owner and how he applied his education in Maths into winning football.

We cant blame the players. It's been like this when they weren't even there. It's been a noise dive since the new owner. The rot is from the top down. They've sacked everyone and recruited mid table staff, managers and players at every level. Therefore we are where we are meant to be.

The last thing Chelsea would need is Jose. They need time. They need to temper expectations for the longer term.

We have to buy players like varane kimmich who aren't old but also are experienced players that we can use in multiple ways to hopefully boost the squad

Jose needs to go back to chelsea. The main issue with Chelsea is the weak mentality of the players- jose is the only hope to try and instill some killer instinct in them.

players change under diffrent managers, Prime example is rudiger under lampard compared to tuchel man was so much more confident under tuchel. Maybe it's the fact we've had numerous managers over the last year and a half making us skeptical of getting poch gone but i think if nothing looks like it's changing by jan/feb i think you start to look for other managers for the next season

Jose hasn't fallen off he just went to spurs , he got roma to a final. Where as poch only won trophies at a team where it's easier to win than it is to lose.

The lack of effort as shown at OT is a huge worry. Not sure about the 2nd half theory though as the opposing Coach is also able to see what went of first half and adjust accordingly.

should have stuck with Potter, but we got rid of him quickly. The problem with chelsea is the attacking players are useless. The middfiled should have good experienced players, one or two mixed in there. But what we got is Jackson a one season player in la liga, caicedo, a one season EPL player, Enzo a world cup wonder, Palmer and galager academic players. Then you have sterling a spent cartridge Pep got rid of. Do you see the team has problem? No clinical finishers, no good wingers with perfect crosses, and the mid field is not good. Personally i would push James to right wing for his nice crosses and play gusto as right back.

Yeah, sacking potter was a great mistakes. I'd imagine potter would've done better than poch this season

Chelsea moved away from Mourinho along time ago. There are so many other good coaches but poch z still the correct option for Chelsea at the moment. He needs more and more tolerance and unwavering support from the fans and the owners of Chelsea.

Guardian is talking about how dressing room isn't happy with poch's decision making regarding captaincy. It seems to me that the owners are now putting poch under the bus. Love Jose and would be so glad to have him back, but just want to stick with Poch if the owners are against him, cause F the owners!

The quality of the players is not the issue. It's the tactics and they way they are being used. Keep in mind, we had been playing quite well, even when we were losing and having draws. We were creating chances and not giving up many goals. Those things are not true the last couple of weeks.

Cant see it ever working with Mourinho with these players but maybe he could instill a winning mindset into the players

part of the problem is chelsea spent 2 billion and they don’t have a world class striker. biggest problem. not scoring goals ruins confidence. hopefully nkunko can turn us around

He needs to settle on a team He needs to play players in their natural positions (Jackson RW for example) He needs to accept Enzo can't shoot - he NEEDS to play CDM or back up to Caicedo He needs to give Mudryk time on the field to get his 90+min stamina up and get his head around the tactics. He needs a new defensive coach for set pieces. They are just the facts. I'm sure he knows it too I would like to see Jose back though, as long as the owners support that abrasive style and don't do a potter to him

I'm not against Poche, but after all there is still one question which bothers me most in his case. Why we don't see any individual improvement of players???!!! Poche is known for developing young players and this was the best shot in his case with Chelsea. I see some attempts to establish some playstyte (possession, control and def play, but yes we still lack attack and last phase), but not improving those young lads is worrying me. It can eventually massively lower their value and there is high financial risk afterwards.

It’s not the age it’s the experience only Sterling and Silva have won things.Silva is on the way down and Sterling is not the player to build around. I do believe we will be better with Nkunku back as defenders will have more to worry about but with Jackson having the second highest xg in the prem I don’t see much changing if we don’t have a good striker. Been frustrated with the line ups think we could have been better with Ian at LB and resting Silva more often rotating him with Levi, how many times do we need to see Sanchez pass the ball to the opponents before we drop him it makes the defence loose confidence as a unit

Why are they not talking about the obvious? the sheer amount of players chelsea brought in! how the hell is anyone meant to get the cohesion, in 4/5 months? also Poch is known to be a slow starting manager. As a liverpool fan I can tell you, that chelsea squad in 2/3 seasons is going to be wild.

It's a shame what's happening at Chelsea, some of your players are just not good enough though, regardless of how much they cost, I agree they need someone to guide them during the games, someone with experience who can keep up morale, it's like watching a team that's lost its belief. A decent manager can make all the difference, look at us at Villa, but it does help if the players are onboard with the manager, and as much as I like Poch, your players are definitely not!

The only manager we should’ve went for was Nagelsmann, no matter what was said we should’ve accepted all his conditions, I touted him as the next Pep. Truthfully at this point they should’ve just kept Lampard.

Some of the players are just not at this level. It wouldn’t matter who they bring in if Poch is sacked. Recruitment strategy needs to be changed moving forward to signing ready made elite players.

With that title heading, you don't even need to watch. The answer is straight forward. The ownership are looking to invest in players whos value will go up. Typically this means relatively inexperienced in top flight and therefore young-ish. Does this sound like a squad of players Mourinho could or would manage? What decent manager would want to deal with this strategy of signing and retaining certain players. It's a miracle Chels have anyone over the age of 25. I don't blame Poch for the majority of this mess.

That's the thing. Poch is a stop-gap manager. The one to mould the players and therefore the team as a whole. Once he takes them to a certain level...a winning manager will come in and win the major trophies..

Everton are under even more crazy pressure than Chelsea but they still have a style of attack and a plan of defence. That's the difference between the two clubs. Also Poch relies on a club already having expensive signings in place and then can improve one or two young players per year. They have him the crazy ask of improving 7 first team starters that's too much.

Hes box office. Would love mourinho at Newcastle if Howe leaves. He has a love for us after his relationship with Sir Bobby Robson.

To sack Poch is understandable but Chelsea need to put a string in the squad by selling players to show that they not scare to let players go no matter the contract and price they paid. Sell players they bought recently and not be scared.

For Pochettino to be the man for the job, the players have to be playing for him, and they are not. It is broken and Poch will not be able to fix it.

Almost everyone been injured already at some point this season..which is crazy.. You add in the fact that it's a brand new squad...with a new manager...and a new-ish owner...
