Welcome to the Sabaton army! As others have said, they sing about events and people in military history who deserve to be remebered (or should not be forgotten). Here are some recommendeations: - Christmas Truce (kzread.info/dash/bejne/eoSYqs2Bo8-sebg.html) - About the short, unofficial truce between British, French and German troops in 1914, when they laid down their weapons to celebrate Christmas together in the no man's land between the trenches. - No Bullets Fly (animated version, kzread.info/dash/bejne/lqegsY9sd8rLnrw.html) - About the German fighter pilot during World War II who saved the lives of an American bomber pilot and crew by escorting their badly damaged plane to safety. - 82nd All The Way (kzread.info/dash/bejne/YoCHkrxxlsrPeaw.html) - About American sergeant Alvin York who led the 82nd Infantry Division against a German machine gun nest in 1918 and captured 132 German soldiers pretty much single-handedly. - 1916 (kzread.info/dash/bejne/ept7ysqngaWXl9o.html) - A Motörhead cover, about the horrific price in lives of World War 1 (and war in general). - Soldier of Heaven (kzread.info/dash/bejne/fo19lceel6ywnKw.html) About the incident known as White Friday, when avalanches struck both Italian and Austro-Hungarian troops fighting in the Alps during WW1. - The Last Stand (kzread.info/dash/bejne/m21219KgnKvKpLA.html) - About the small force of incredibly loyal Swiss Guards who defended the Vatican during The Sack of Rome in 1527. - Attack of the Dead Men (kzread.info/dash/bejne/mKyf29CkiqS3ipM.html) - About the battle of Osowiec Fortress in 1915, where Russian soldiers who were dying from poison gas still managed to fight back against the invading Germans. - To Hell and Back (kzread.info/dash/bejne/hJyhqrV6c8-tYcY.html) - About Audie Murphy, one of the most decorated US soldiers of WW2, his deeds and struggles with PTSD after the war. - The Unkillable Soldier (kzread.info/dash/bejne/lGiqzMGQcpjdj84.html) - The early story of sir Adrian Carton de Wiart, a man who survived so many wars, injuries and incidents that he became known as "the man who cannot be killed". - En Livstid i Krig ("A Lifetime of War", sung live in Swedish but with English subtitles: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iXanlalqgNnflrA.html) - About the experience of young men being drafted to fight in the 30 Years' War in Europe in the early 17th century.

Actually Sabaton members (Joakim & Pär) themselves just say they are their own version of heavy metal (their style varies quite a bit depending on the song after all), it's everyone else that still continue to insist they are specifically powermetal.

Thanks for reacting to Sabaton! Joakim Brodén, the lead singer, often opens concerts "We are Sabaton, We play heavy metal!" He writes most of the music and many lyrics. The great bass player Pär Sundström writes lyrics with Joakim. Pär is also the band's manager. He said that playing music is 1% of what he does as managar. There are two fantastic guitarists: Chris Rörland writes music and is a graphic artist. Tommy Johansson played guitar until January 2024, when he is leaving to focus on Majestica and his KZread Channel. Hannes Van Dahl is the incredible drummer, married to Nightwish singer Floor Jansen. If you like this music, your life will never be the same. Suddenly, without much effort, you will remember the major battles of the various wars, remember the day that "720 Polish soldiers fought over 40,000 Germans at The Battle of Wizna and halted the German advance for 3 days." (Sabaton History Channel). You will remember Henry Johnson and the Harlem Hellfighters, there's much more! For suggestions, the other posts are great! I'd add Soldier of Heaven and Sarejevo. The Final Solution is very sombre. A fan favorite is Woodstock 2012. The festival had over 700,000 people, many of them Polish. The band opened with Ghost Division (about Rommel's tanks invading France), Then played "Uprising." about" the Warsaw Uprising, a major insurrection by the Polish Resistance against Nazi Germany in 1944. The lyrics describe the events, the resistance, and the casualties of the uprising, " via Sabaton History Channel. Thanks for your fine reaction, and I subscribed:)

Musical military history lessons (facts, no sides, no propaganda) - makes school more interesting! Sabaton is from Sweden. The name of the boat the band plays on in this video, "Primo Victoria", is also the name of another Sabaton song. "Night Witches" or "No Bullets Fly" animated videos are also worth reacting to. The guys in the band and the video crew froze making this "Bismarck" video - Joakim, the singer, was probably bashing his leg to make sure it was still there! "This song is dedicated to all those who fought in the Battle For The Atlantic." WW2, like my Dad. The name Sabaton comes from the name for a piece of armour a knight wore upon his foot.

Sabaton is a Swedish metal band that has a historic background to their songs that you can read about, Bismarck, The last stand, Christmas truce, No bullets fly (animated) and so on. Read about the history behind the songs before you listen to them! They even have a history channel where they break down the songs. The drummer is married to Nightwish lead singer Floor Jansen!

Welcome to "the Sabaton Experience." They do TRUE stories of war - and they don't "pick sides." They tell stories of heroism, valor, and mercy. Each song is about a particular incident in history during war. This one reflects the story of the Bismark battleship and a battle that happened in the Atlantic during WWII. If I might suggest - two very good songs made as "movies" : ---- "No Bullets Fly" (the 8:54 second long one with Yarnhub - animated story) - the true story of a German pilot during WWII that came across an American bomber that was shot to pieces and instead of finishing it off he flew up alongside it to inspect the plane and saw wounded airmen taking care of OTHER wounded airmen and made the call to not shoot it down. In fact he ESCORTED the bomber out of Germany. The video also shows how, 45 years later, both pilots having survived the war, they met and became good friends. ------ "Christmas Truce" wherein during WWI - in 1914 - the soldiers on both sides called an unofficial truth during Christmas. They got out of their trenches, exchanged gifts, sang Christmas songs together and even played soccer. After the truce the war continued. The music may or may not be your "cup of tea", but the story telling is amazing. Many reactors have said: "If this is how they taught history when I was in school, I would have learned a lot more."

great reaction, more Sabaton please. Sabaton is a Swedish band with a loooong list of history based music. Sabaton also has an award winning history channel that gives background to over 120 if their songs (not music award, academic, aimed at education of the public) . Sabaton videos are often have dedications and/or messages at the end, perhaps not always but... watching to the very end is frequently well worth it. Animated STORY videos (short Animated history lessons with music videos in them) No bullets fly, enemy showing mercy to injured aircrew in a nearly wrecked aircraft barely still flying, even escorting them to safety. Night witches, Young (17-28) female bomber pilots in ww2 fighting the Nazi despite the discrimination they faced and being given obsolete equipment, aircraft ... Lady of the dark, female fighting alongside men during ww1 and being highly respected and even more decorated. Red baron, the famous fighter pilot of ww1 first soldier, unlikely French hero in ww1. Epic ORIGINAL videos. you just saw Bismark, about the sinking of the ship Christmas truce, about the spontaneous truce in some parts of the western front during Christmas 1914 40:1, about polish soldiers, badly outnumbered (just under 750 in all) facing 42 000 germans, they where BADLY outgunned desperately defending against the German invasion 1939 (with odds actually close to 55:1 they held for 3 DAYS when ammunition and supplies ran out. Uprising, the Warsaw Uprising against the nazi germans during 1944. To hell and back, they tell the story of Audie Murphy (highly decorated) and his struggle AFTER the war, so about PTSD and drug addiction that returning soldiers can face. Fields of verdun, the 300+ day long battle fought there. Price of a mile, about the battle of Passchendaele Screaming Eagles, about the battle of the bulge Live performances 40:1 from poland Uprising from poland En livstid I krig live from Göteborg Sweden (in Swedish but there are subtitles) , very heavy again, about thoughts of a young man going to war. Two covers that are good Defence of Moscow, self explained 1916 about the devastating battle of the somme in ww1, casualties topped 1 milion if you count both sides, all for 6 miles of ground, these are just some, there are plenty more.

A few things you may want to know: 1) The first time you do a Sabaton song, you are going to want subtitles. There's a lot of history info in the lyrics 2) Not sure if you will want this before or after first reaction, but they also have a channel called "Sabaton History", where they talk about some of the history behind the song. (Some reactors don't watch it first because there are often short clips from the song in it.) 3) Even if you don't watch the Sabaton History, their website usually has a quick 1-2 sentence description of the historical event it's based on. 4) If watching a specific song, if there is an "Animated Story" video, USE THAT ONE! They'll put enough of the history in the video before/after the song to let you follow along better. Th is video is about the song. Sabaton filmed it with help from World of Warships. They also have a good relationship with World of Tanks. (If you play it, there is/was a Sabaton tank available at one point. I don't play and don't know if it still is.) You didn't watch the rest of the dedication. There are also a ton of incredible details all over in the video.

I love the accuracy of the video, the detail with Bismarck trying to shoot down the Swordfish planes (Very outdated for WW2) the torpedo striking her aft which really was the cause of her demise since they couldn’t control her. The fact she went down fighting, another is the sinking, the turrets were so heavy they flipped her upside down and the turrets drop the guns. This is what I enjoy about Sabaton!

Excellent reaction. Sabaton is often considered as one of the "big four" power metal bands (along with Blind Guardian, Dragonforce, and Helloween) however the band feels they are a form of heavy metal since they do not use the typical power metal high pitched vocals or fantasy themes. Sabaton uses historically accurate themes of courage, humanity, sacrifice, and honor that arise from the cauldron of war. Their music videos tend to be epic and movie quality while their live performance are high energy with considerable fan interaction.

They are unconventional "power metal". I say unconventional, because power metal tends to have a fantasy or mythological topic, whereas Sabaton gets their inspiration from military history. They are also not a monolithic band, they have also created a few ballads, and while the singer's voice is instantly recognizable, they do have many songs that are very, very different from what generally the most popular. Several are tear-jerkers.

Another to react to is Race to the Sea. Sabaton are a band of the highest integrity. This is their 25th year and I only learned of them about 8 months ago (and I have been listening to rock and roll and Heavy metal since the 70s). Th U.S. music machinery tend to be rather closed minded. After listening to any of Sabaton song and you want more details about them, check out their Sabaton History channel.

@@MDreeezy Hello. Lovley reaction as always 😊👍 I got an idea of what you should do if you feel like it! And that is to react to all Sabaton's songs in all the albums they have! What I mean is to go all in with Sabaton, Even if it will take time as you react to other music too!😊 But it makes absolutely nothing if it will take time if you decide to do it! And the songs you have already reacted to, you can then skip if you want! I am sure you would have loved it and not regretted it! I want to recommend more songs to you too!😎 If there are some that you have already reacted to, you can ignore them!😊 Hellfighters The first soldier The valley of death Versailles Dreadnought Soldier of heaven Stormtroopers Steel commanders Kingdom come Metal trilogy Defense of Moscow The royal guard Fields of verdun A ghost in the trenches Great war official video 😉 Devil dogs 82nd all the way Seven pillars of wisdom All guns blazing😉 The last battle Shiroyama 7734 Man of war Hearts of iron Harley from hell Killing ground The Carolean's Prayer Long live the king Metal ripper White death Coat of arms The final solution The price of a mile Firestorm Cliffs of Gallipoli Endless nights Metal Crüe Nightchild Back in control In the name of god Metal machine Purple heart Wolfpack Panzer battalion. Remember that it's perfectly okay to show emotions and cry when listening to music in reaction videos, etc. I love your channel!❤️ love when you react and discover more of my favorite band!😎🤘 Sabaton has been my favorite band since they were formed in 1999 in Falun here in Sweden!🇸🇪 Warm and kind greetings from a big Sabaton fan in northern Sweden (Västerbotten) 🇸🇪🇸🇪

Just started listening to Sabaton this week. They sing accurate history . Much better songs than this and their live performance are epic. 3 Recommendations live below: 40:1 Uprising The christmas truce.

It makes me laugh when American's have to put on English subtitles on a Sabaton song as they speak perfect English. I have been to Stockholm the capital city of Sweden where I had conversations with local people who spoke perfect English. It baffles me that Yanks have to put on subtitles even when English people are speaking, there should be Automatic subtitles when American's speak and a volume control to turn down their voice because American's speak so loud. Putting on English subtitles on a Sabaton song where they are singing in perfect English, is a slap in the face to Joakim the singer from Sabaton and the Swedish nation.
