WHO ARE THE U.S. ARMY NIGHT STALKERS? (INSIDE AMERICA’S ELITE AVIATION SOF UNIT)

The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR), also known as the Night Stalkers, is the U.S. Army’s premier special operations aviation unit. Using the MH-60 Blackhawk, MH-47 Chinook, and the AH-6/MH-6 Little Bird, this unit has been a part of several high profile special operations units.
The Night Stalkers have pilots, aircrewman, and support personnel - but these are not your typical soldiers. They are all highly trained and professional, ready to make an impact on the battlefield and in the world of special operations. If you want to learn more about the Night Stalkers, watch this video!

My son is a recently retired Night Stalker; I have followed him all over the World, and I have attended his graduation and retirement. I have had the honor of visiting the Unit, 160th Regiment, at Ft. Campbell, Ky. I, to this day, am stunned at what he has done and become. The proud feeling in my heart and soul is immense for my son. He served 22 years as An MH-60K Blackhawk Pilot, 13 tours to the Sand Pit and about. I am sure some of you Nightstalkers here know him very well. I will abstain from noting his name. Incredible Aviators, one and all, Support Team as well.

He would disappear for a couple weeks at a time and then pop back up. Sometimes he'd say stuff like, well looks like I'll be gone for 2 weeks. Me being a little kid I always would ask him stuff and he'd never tell me. But he'd always say stuff like, where I'm going it's gonna be hot with allot of sand. Wish I could track him back down and talk to him some more.

He has several different series featuring these pilots and other military personnel involved in covert ops. Father was 160th SOAR, helicopter crew chief. Though, most of this was in the early 2000s to 2011, so most of the stuff I know is basic It's nice to see my dad's regiment get the attention they deserve. Learning about them when I was growing up blew my 14 year old mind away, and 3 years later I'm still fanboying over 160th.
