Who are the Hmong? Part 1
Educational Television Productions of Northeast Wisconsin (ETP-NEW) had the honor of producing the video content for the Neville Public Museum's exhibition entitled, Who are the Hmong? The interviews explore the Hmong transition to the United States and their successful adaptation to their new country. It describes the harrowing experience of Hmong men and boys who fought as allies alongside Americans in the Vietnam War. It reveals the traditional Hmong culture that has survived for thousands of years through wars and migration. In answering the question, Who are the Hmong?, the exhibition hopes to foster an understanding of the Hmong community and create deeper connections with our new neighbors. Hmong is the Mother and Father of all Asia. The Great Genghis Khan and Mother Mongolia. Hmong mean Blue for lord of the Blue Sky and Black for spiritual, unknown and the universe. We Hmong have our own history don't let other people label us anymore. We know who we are.

We need to do more research, not just in China, but we have to start in China to Mongolia and Siberia. I don't think Mongolians are willing to take us as their brothers&sisters.

@@Saichenyang The kazakhz, kyrgz, uzbek and russians all called me vietnamese or phillipino. We hmong don't have cheeky cheek bones and slanted small eyes like mongolian. Even tho those eurasians are all mongols and have a long history with mongolians fighting along side them and against each other they wouldn't call themselves mongolian. It's only the nepals and tibets who want to be call mongolian.

Actually, Hmong people are originally Siberian. Look at 10% of 100,000, there some Hmong kids are born with Blonde hair and blue eyes. Just observe and research more! Look in your reflection during the sunlight in the mirror. You can still see the blue sheen reflecting of the brown eyes. Our eyes are not completely brown or dark brown. Have a younger sister that have natural long hair? Put her in the sunny day when the sun light can hit off the shine from the hair. You can see that it isn't completely dark brown. We actually have light brown hair.
