In Kerala, Muslims prefer mutton to beef. Both Christians and Muslims prefer mutton or chicken to beef. As for me, I do not eat beef. I do not eat any kind of meat, and I'd be happy if my neighbors stopped eating meat of their own accord. But I don't want to impose my eating habits on them. Kerala is not a Hindu state. It's not a Muslim state either. It's a secular state. That's why neither beef nor pork is banned here.

Hence my name and looks are like Gujarati but from inside I am pure Malayali 🙏 So I do eat beef and my favourite dish is Beef Ularthiyathu 👍

I don't care about what happens in other's home, I care about what happens in my home, but seriously, beef isn't an issue today it was back then, and also its not like Hindus can't eat beef or its forbidden, its just a general consensus in the northern plains states where generally meat consumption is something that isn't staple rather a luxury, because of the crop based agriculture, but really a common person doesn't have a problem with this, if you wish to eat beef, go ahead and do it in the states that do eat beef because of their geography and traditions, even pork is not consumed by hindus in the northern planes just because of the consensus that there's already so much variety available.
