He has certainly overshadowed Rahul in terms of Media impressions post his release, but AAP simply lacks the geographical reach to take a shot at the BJP. All his Googlies and reverse swings are nice, but he is not playing in the top leagues.

The answer is rather simple. Modi is contesting the election as a prime ministerial face. If public elects "him" for a third term, he is only answerable to the public. The term is of "five years" . He cannot and should not quit, midway due to any internal party norm or regulation. It is a five year commitment from his side as well. If the opposition comes in power, nobody has any such commitment to the public as there is no prime ministerial face.
