Whitworth Quick Return Mechanism

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is simpler version of Whitworth Quick return mechanism. These mechanism are used where reciprocation motion in return stroke is much faster than the forward stroke. A machine shop shaper tool is a good application for this mechanism. Forward and back stroke lengths can be changed from zero to predetermined maximum length by changing the location of adjustment pin as shown in the video.

Variable stroke scotch-yoke is very simple to make. Just make a channel on the rotating disk starting at the center and extending outward. Put a slider in this channel on which the scotch-yoke pin is attached. By changing the location of the pin, you can change scotch-yoke stroke from 0 to 2*r where the r is a little bit less then the disk radius R.

Cool Izzy. Whitworth's QRM was breakthrough technology during the Industrial Revolution. To answer the slower return speed comments without getting too deep into force vectors: When the disc nears a full revolution, the arm reaches its furthest position and returns to its initial position at a quicker rate, hence its name. Throughout the cut, the arm has a constant velocity. Upon returning to its initial position after reaching its maximum horizontal displacement the arm reaches its highest velocity.

It is the crank and slotted lever quick return motion mechanism, one link is in complete rotation (crank) and one is oscillating about a point that is why it is called slotted lever (rocker)

Hi, This motion is commonly used by Shaping Machines, not seen much in machine workshops these days. The cutting stroke is the slow segment whilst the return is the faster one. Takes me back to Technical College during my apprenticeship ## years ago.

🔴 What Is Islam? ⚠️ 🔴 Islam is not just another religion. 🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. 🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. 🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. 🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. 🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: 📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4)[4] 📚 🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. 🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him.

A simple DC motor can create alternative current with a frequency rythme and an intensity of power regulation Both define as speed turn and distance from the center You need two coils on each side of the iron bar then a magnet at both sides When the magnet will go through the coil, it will generate current
