Excellent as always Sandy. One of the things that I admire so much about your work, be it knives or video content, is that you never rest on your laurels. No matter how good the product you deliver is, you always push for that bit more and then that bit more again. 🙂

Very nice craftsmanship. I have followed your progress in the past 5 or so years and I must say that your attention to detail is exemplary. Your final product shows how you've put your heart and soul into each piece. I believe the whittlers are a great design and should keep you in production for a long time to come. I hope that you do well in years to come.

I love that design Sandy. I know you are calling it the whittler but it looks like the perfect allrounder to me. You should not have to justify that your quality cost a bit more. Every process you add, adds a little cost. Every process you add also adds a little more quality. If a knife factory was to add some of those hidden quality cost points back in to their knives, everyone would vertically notice the price point is a lot higher there also. Hope spring is kind to both of us and we are able to get out on some of the perfect days in our future.

There will be six very fortunate and very happy people out there guaranteed when they receive these amazing tools. You put your heart and sole into each and every knife that you produce Sandy. They are just as functional as they are beautiful. Thanks for giving us a look at them my friend. That is always a pleasure for us to see them. Stay healthy and happy, I will see you on the next one.

The only issue I have with AEB-L is its tendency to warp, but this can be mitigated with a stress relief cycle, even plate cooling and a carbide hammer.

Your not using enough clamping force. When you plate quench you need to use a lot of pressure, I use G clamps to clamp the plates "firmly" then there is no warping. I would never use a carbide hammer, it will leave tiny indents and hidden stresses steel. Strain relieving is a good thing to do but will not always solve warping. Clamping pressure will!

Lovely knives again Sandy. Was wondering if you were planning to make some hornets in the future as we previously talked about? Aug ‘23.

Hi, skip the dry ice slurry. Turn your home freezer to its lowest setting. I think you will struggle to see the difference in the HRC. Make some test tokens to measure the difference. Save £60.

Lovely striping on that Maple, Mr. Jack the Knife. Gorjuss! Now, if you want to keep a whittler for yourself, what would wood (ha!) you choose? Do you have a preference or is it see it love it?
