Awesome as always Doug. Thinking there may be a mushroom based chess set as a Christmas present for a friend who grows medicinal mushroom. You are always an inspiration and looking forward to the painting pointers.

I'd like to see this. I was thinking similarly.
Love mushrooms and love Gnomes
I want to thank you for sharing with us your carving enthusiasm! I’m 74 and you got me carving again,so much fun. Love your dog.
Birds chirping had me lookin around my own house for it....
Had a blast making this mushroom w/door and painting it. Been whittling for a month and loving every minute of it, thanks to you. After the 'shroom, I took the plunge and carved my first caricature - your hillbilly/gnome. Followed your tutorial (play & pause) using a drop cloth in my living room while I sat in a chair and carved it. It came out great. I'm hooked. Time for me to carve the others. More, more, more.
Great video Doug. I started serious carving with your earlier mushroom videos. Now you are giving me new ideas for larger projects such as a Gnome village. Thanks buddy stay safe.
So fun! I'm sure I'll have many peaceful afternoons trying different styles of these. I've been thinking about quick whittles for give aways at a local nursing home....perfect! Thanks again, Doug! You're the best!
This is why I love your channel doug Your little whittle projects are so much fun to do for my beginner skills thank you!
What a great surprise! Here I was enjoying your carving instructions for my next project and then you elevate it to an all new level by introducing your dog to us! What a sweetie! Thanks.😊
I plan to try to carve these little rascals this week. You're a Hoot and I can get enough of your carvings. Love watching you carve.
Fun fun carve. My grandchildren love painting my carvings they will love these. The owl is a big hit and iv carved small and up to 1 1/2. Thank you!!
Loving this 1 x 1 series; it's kind of therapeutic.

WOW. Love this 1x1 series. Selfishly, I wish you could post one every single day.
These are really cute, so is your big cuddly dog
Another fantastic and entertaining video. I love these simple whittle projects. I like projects that allow me to switch off a bit. Maybe call it Zen Whittling. Keep up the great work.
I love how the faces turn out different every time. That’s a neat little carve. 👍🏻. Yes to the painting video!!
I was saying…i miss uncle Doug! Here you are! Love these little Mushrooms! Will do it right away❤

Doug. Ty for this vid , it sparked the carving bug in my wife . She’s a great carver , due to health she hasn’t carved in a while . She said this is what I did too get my carving groove back . Soooo thank you so much Mr. Doug 👍😇🇺🇸
Lovely video Doug, there’s not going to be mushroom on my carvings shelf now. Showed Billy to my wife and she said ahhhhhh- no you can’t have one. She’s a beauty, Billy I mean. Thanks for a great carve. 🇬🇧

I made one of your mushroom guys but adding the door to make it a house is fun too.
So much fun! Enjoy the way you present these videos! I'm a beginner and your demos are a big help with how to approach with my baby rhino carve I'm working through.
Thank you Doug. Great video
LOVE LOVE LOVE this one! Thank you
I was just telling someone struggling with carving to try an easy mushroom @ 2 days ago! Nice, simple tutorial! Thanks Doug 🙂

Hey Doug! Another great video!
Nice work as always!
Doug wow more options to try out but about the morel mushroom how to carve that next video im very interested to try that too as I seen plenty about your wife is lucky to have a talented guy as you but bet she has a pop at you with wood chips around lol . Ever thought of writing a book on whittling i buy one in flash im sure lots people would too 🇺🇲👍🦊🐾🇮🇹
Fantastic as always Doug
Love your videos! Also loved the dog part. I would love to see a how to paint these little mushies video!
I think it would be nice if you took some time during this series and talked about sealers. Your owls looked great natural. You could offer some good advice on the differences between mineral oil, linseed oil, beeswax… ect. I know you do that in your other videos but some of the newer people may have issues finding those videos.
Excellent. Thankyou
Nice, Thanks.
great video those look really fun
Love these guys Doug
1x1 blocks are phenomenal!
Thank you I’m just starting and your an amazing teacher.
Love your carvin and your dog 😂👍👍🙏
Wow absolutely fantastic Doug what are you coming up with next 😂😂
Still like watching.
I was carving owls all day and missed this video. Guess I know what I am doing tomorrow morning.
Gracias por tus vídeos.
I'm a brand new carver... The face is a little bit beyond me yet but I love the door ones
My husband and I love your little carvings, the mushroom people and houses are wonderful, we follow you on the TV but often forget to come to our computer to like the video, My husband carves walking sticks but had lost interest until he started watching you months ago, Doug if possible could you tell us what store we can find the magazine the woodcarvers illustrated, because we have no way to order it online, being seniors we do not trust the sites as not always sure of what we are doing, You are awesome and we really enjoy the content, Thank you for sharing your talent
My word Doug...Your dog is the size of a bear...What on earth do you feed him on lol...Love your carvings as usual...Thanks Doug.
Loved this video, I try to hang on to every cut you made. Should have a 1 by 2 in my hand 0r some scrap and practice each change to expression. Clearly I am a newbee enjoying your calm clear demonstration of these creations.
Latest Doug!! 8/10. Just got my copy of Woodcarving Ill. : Great to see you there, Very good interview. Best of future luck with articles
Whops, I forgot to ask - any chance of a video showing how you carve the various doors and windows in these mushrooms? Thanks again.
Great video! Hope you’ll follow through with the painting video!
3 videos in one…heck of a deal!
Ya know - since iv started watching your channel recently- you remind me of Bob Ross - but wood carver 👍🥰🌞🌻
A small ruler fetish, you say? ell now we know what to get you for christmas. Question - do you paint/finish these the same way that you do the gnome doors? Also, it looks like some are dyed, perhaps. Any tips re: paint and no-paint finish options would be grand. Thanks!
That’s another great carve Doug and probably another addiction for me 😂 Are you sure that’s a dog by the way and not a Wookiee? 🤔 When will it stop growing 🤷♂️
Thanks!

fun is the name of the game!!!!
New subscriber! Love the videos. I have binge several over the last few days. I am so intrigued about starting this. I would love to see a video about how you paint them and also how you maintain your carving knives. I know there are various ways of taking care of different blades so I would like to see how you keep these sharp. I'm a noob.
I am always so happy when you post a new video....... you have such great imagination. Thanks for sharing. 😁😁😁🏴
Thanks
