Sykes was a butcher. He ruined three good bands with his screeching and wailing guitar histrionics hiding all the clean notes and chords. 'Bad Boys' is without doubt the worst song Whitesnake ever came up with.

I haven't seen one of these Electra's since ~1986. It had cartridges that plugged in the back for EFX. Nice to see one setup and being played nicely.

Nice! I dig the Electra LP copy. I had a white one post-lawsuit with a 5 way tone switch. I sold it to a fellow Navy guy who told me later it was stolen from him. It was my first guitar and still wish I had it.

That Electra though!!! wow...my first real electric guitar was an Electra...it's in my IG...LOL awesome guitar. Now...WS is not easy to cover by any means and this guy does it as accurate as I've seen. I will subscribe!!!

Lee, Steve Vai, and the list goes on, but a lot forget about how great John Sykes was and his unique style. I put him right up there with the greats - quite an inspiration. Wow you really nailed it. I am so glad to see you playing John Sykes stuff. His style and technique just blew me away when he came on the scene with Thin Lizzy. Back then he was really the first guy I ever saw playing that very aggressive attack style but very melodic guitar. I think he is probably one of my all time favorites. I don't know if you ever got into his Blue Murder stuff but there is a song on the first album called Black Hearted Woman and I would love to see you play that one. Thanks for sharing your awesome playing with all of us.

Well, now 24K + 1 have listened to it. That was really good. That solo is incredibly hard. If you haven't already, go listen to the version on Live: In The Still Of The Night with Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach. One of my favorite versions besides the 1987 Whitesnake album.

As a drummer I've always been fascinated with the abilities of guitar players. The way you can do 5 fret stretches, accurately strike the strings with the pick, and easily bend those string is amazing to me. Great job man !!!!! And one of my favorite guitar songs.

Thank you! It’s been a while, I’m pretty sure the chain was the Electra straight into the Diezel, using Greenback speakers into a R121 mic with some post EQ taking out some midrange.

Thank you, unfortunately I couldn’t find any tabs that I liked, so I had to slow the song down and go by ear with a lot of trial and error. If you’re trying to learn it yourself, hopefully this video can be of some help
