i finally got around to finishing this.. love to learn about older White's offerings.. interesting that they were half soles.. and I like that they're Vbars... I'd like to learn more about back when White's was willing to make boots with Cordovan.. do you know what year they discontinued that..? I have tons of new boot videos that I finally finished editing.. I'll be dropping them all in the next few weeks.. just want to say I really appreciate your videos.. you're delivery is similar to that guy who does, 'A Channel About Boots' your voices are even similar! pretty crazy.. and I also had a brief obsession with Red Dog bc of the Rose Anvil Drifter hah,, they made it look so good.. I wish my Ranchers were Vbar though and not 430.. I never want another 430.. I just don't like them.. half sole V bars for me.. Dr. Sole.., or even Dainite.. I'd also like to try the Dainite Ridgeway.. hopefully i can come up with a 2020 Viberg one of these days.. Color 8 would be nice.. but yeah, Red Dog.. it wears very easily.. bc of the pigment/finishing.. so they're hard to keep pristine looking.. but looks great as a hard worn 'patina' boot... the other qualm I have with Red Dog.., my suspicion, is that they use lesser quality hides for it.. bc of the pigment,, its easier for them to hide any flaws.. my Ranchers creased up a whole lot pretty quickly.. loosy goosey grain maybe.. I was hoping it would more likely get those elaborate rolls of break like Weston's had.. but I don't think its gonna happen.. and the Seidel used was not nearly as thick of my old 2008 Nick's Packers.. those things were thick! I have a whole video on these Ranchers I'm talking about I'll release soon... not many Rancher specific videos out there on KZread.. anyhow,, rant over haha,, have a great weekend 👊

I dig this a lot but I'm also a huge white's boots fanboy so I'm biased.

Great looking boots, I think White’s is terribly overpriced IMO, am a Nick’s guy myself, I appreciate all your videos, very helpful 👍

@@joshuaricks7882 same. Whites prices have always been crazy high and their QC has always been poor on the boots I’ve purchased. However Nicks pricing is climbing a bit too lately. Still cheaper than Whites, but getting harder to swallow. I’ve only bought a couple pairs of Nicks at MSRP. I always buy when they are running a sale/promotion.

@@EDHBlvd same here, am always looking for a sale at Nicks, I did buy a new pair of black wax flesh boots from Nicks on eBay about a month ago for a crazy good price, I didn’t even make the guy an offer I just bought the outright, they were a custom build in my exact size, I couldn’t pass it up
