Yo, that makes me so happy to hear! I originally went to Northern Arizona University for a speech therapy degree. Unfortunately got insanely sick and had to drop out of school. What I learned in those classes is a lot of what I base my analysis on

Phil's clean vocals always bring chills, such an incredible vocalist and I'm looking forward to seeing more straight up singing in future releases.

man Phil is the GOAT of vocal phrasing

What made me falling in love with Phil was and still is his absurdly good pronounciation. You can clearly understand every word he is screaming, growling. Even his gutturals are very clear. Imagine this dude has beend doing this kind of vocals for over 15 years. That's insane.

Bro..You are the real life Substitute Teacher from the film school of ROCK. Even your reactions are so spot on to Jack Blacks when he is jamming. Funny story about that. Back in the day KZread used to flag and remove videos of laryngoscopies from time to time because it....uh.....well lets just say whatever AI / algorithm they were using saw it as something else :D. Used to drive my professors nuts

He was a vastly superior vocalist to Mitch Lucker (RIP), but somehow even the Britney Spears fans were like "I MISS MITCH SSSSOOO MUCH! IT'S LIEK, EVEN THOUGH I NEVER KNEW WHO HE WAS BEFORE TODAY.. I'M LIEK SSSSOOO AFFECTED BY THIS! I THINK I'M GONNA CRY AGAIN! HIS BAND, that band.. What was his bands name again? OH, YEAH. SUICIDE SILEN- suicide silence? You're sure? Oh... Wow. Hmm... ok. SUICIDE SILENCE WAS LIEK MY FAVORITE BAND IN THE WHOLE OF ALL TIME! I'M GONNA GO CRY NOW WHILE I LISTEN TO... thanks you're a total lifesaver.. THE CLEANSING ON REPEAT! BAIIIII! Lol, sorry about that one. Anyway, it made total sense to take that momentum and do something CRUSHING to turn all of these hypebeasts into actual fans of the band. They already had a fanbase far larger than ASP, but the potential to be even bigger, was palpable. And then they put out that CRAP bull.. crap. Crappy.. CRAP of an album... With all that weird experimenting on Eddys part. The tee hee? Cmon man... Mitch just died, you can't just come up in there and completely change the sound of the band outright. He needed to do a straight fire ass DEATHCORE album, before he ever even *considered* any tee hees. Normally I wouldn't fault a band for trying something new, here though I will. He essentially destroyed two bands at once. I haven't heard the name Suicide Silence since everyone was memeing about them because they were bad... Don't lie to me about them making new music, don't break my heart like this if it isn't true... If they aren't ready to make a commitment... I don't want to have another, what was it 2015? Whenever they said they were making music again and then abruptly said "nvm, it's not happening now or actually ever." I can't have my heart broken again allshallperish35, YOU KNOW I CAN'T! I'm already so insecure and untrusting of vocalists as it is! I NEED A BAND TO COMMIT. TO ME, TO US!! IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK? Anyway.... Where'd you hear this? That's skeptically awesome.. Haven't listened to this band for more than 5 minutes in the last 10 years. Luckily, there's always a hundred new bands to take the place of bands you no longer listen to.

@@sondersonics7534 I'm not sure if it's the production or what but it all sounds super flat. Not to mention I'm not a fan of his clean vocals but that's minor. Just the overall sound just has no OOMPH to me. But then again I feel like they've been going downhill post Our Endless War. I think their songwriting and execution is good I just can't put my finger on it.

@@sondersonics7534 Yeah I had the same problem with The Valley. Instead of ranging from -10 to +10 it's like their sound ranges from -5 to +5. Like I said is probably just a production thing but it makes it all feel meh to me. But I know I'm an outlier. Lol.
