Whiteboard Math: Factoring by Grouping

This video will focus on the factoring technique Factoring by Grouping, which is most commonly used when there are 4 terms in an expression.
Factoring is a crucial skill to have in high school math, because it will be used in many chapters and units. At the same time, factoring is one of those areas in math class in which a lot of students struggle.

Fraux the -c (y+x) is supposed to be re-written as -c (x+y) because x always goes behind of y as it follows in the alphabet. Then your terms match up so your answer is. (b-c) (x+y)

*HEEELPP!!!* What if the (m-n) and the other (m-n) didn't have the same operator? Like m(m-n)+4(m+n)? because my problem turned out to be one that have different operators... My problem is: 3a^2-2ax-3a+2x i first re arranged the problem so it became: 3a^2-3a-2ax+2x then u grouped them so: (3a^2-3a)-(2ax+2x) then i factor out so: 3a(a-1)-2x(a+1) im not really sure how to proceed after that... please help me with this problem!! EDIT: I FOUND OUT MY MISTAKE I THINK IM SUPPOSED TO MAKE +1 NEGATIVE AS I FACTOR IT OUT SO ILL CONTINUE: 3a(a-1)-2x(a-1) THEN NEXT STEP: (a-1)(3a-2x) ANYWAYS VERY HELPFUL VIDEO!! THANKS SO MUCH!!!!! Generally, I like the clarity of explanation. However, the teacher keeps referring to the "expression" as an "equation". This can be very misleading, as students are sometimes required to distinguish between analgebraic expression and an algebraic Equations in exams. If I am to allow my students to watch this I would have to carefully point out this error to them.
