    There are some white women and men that take the time to learn about hair as I've seen amazing white braiders. This girl made the "white girl with braids" her whole personality and thrived off the nastiness she spewed. Growing up, I had a white friend and she always dyed her hair pink and blue and I wanted to do the same thing. My mom had to remind me that my hair was a different texture and would react differently and the up keep would be different. I didn't feel like she was being racist as she was being factual. Some people assume when black people speak up, it's about us hating but most of the time, it's us trying to educate on what we already know and have done for years.

  • @YurrahAlHadi

    @YurrahAlHadi

    Exactly. The problem is that many ppl like that girl view our races as in opposition to each other. It's a competition to them so they assume we're coming from a place of hate because they themselves are. To them, anything black people do that's positive for our race and ethnicities, is automatically anti-whiteness.

    For me it's not even about them being white and I wish in the real world racism didn't exist because it's truly not about "our" braids being afro braids it's because of the government; which is so powerful and PROWhite they literally can write in textbooks tomorrow that afro braids are viking braids this is what all the vitriol is about and the backlash to them. It's even disrespectful to even rewrite even black people's history a lie is a lie. And no I genuinely don't think that she was trolling cheap thought that our hair texture was just because we're black and that she could leave those box braids in her hair for a month to and when she left them box braids in her hair for a month her shed and the product that she was putting her hair and the time she washed her hair all this time was growing into the feed in hair. It wasn't an accident, anti-black women misandry left her bald headed.

    She had no choice at this point. Her dumbass backed herself into a corner on this. Since she's a content creator, and I use the term loosely, her last few videos were of her trying to flaunt her hair and dog black women. I mean she literally posted a pic of herself right before the shower with the braids taken out saying that she didn't loose hair to troll black women. So once her slow ass destroyed her hair by not detangling it before going into the shower forcing her to cut her matted fur chunks off she couldn't then act like it didn't happen or play it off. Looking at that hard hairline wig she's rocking now, she would've been clocked within 2 seconds that's she's wearing a wig. She was so unabashedly toting about her "real" (even though we saw her holding kenekalon hair) hair being better than black womens she couldn't then rock a short hairstyle or a wig because people would investigated and pry into why all of her hair is gone. So in order to get ahead of the inevitable bashing and clowing she was going to get once people found out, she decided that there was no other choice but to show that her fur became matted and had to be cut. Her stupid ass shoul've went to a beautician (maybe a black one since she likes to intrude in such spaces) to see if they could save her dreadlock but oh well. 💅🏿

    I am a 53 year old white woman. My opinion on this may not be welcome, and I would not argue that it is even relevant. But, I am a talker, so here we are. This particular video was suggested for me, and I was intrigued by the headline. I do not understand why anyone would defend that white woman who got those braids. She was obviously trying to be outrageous and, seems to me, was looking to be strong on anyone who would criticize her. I have known women like this. I knew girls like this when I was in school. All I can do is roll my eyes, really. Some people like to parade their ignorance around like they know something. (I am fully open to having my comment seen as ignorant, there is far too much to know for anyone not to be. I hope my comment, however long winded, is taken as respectful, at least. I cannot know anything to which I have not been exposed.) As far as her needing to cut the mats out of her hair? Yeah, that was TOTALLY unnecessary. This woman seems also to have the patience of a toddler. I knew EXACTLY what happened when I saw that. Even with uncomplicated braids, if a straight haired person has them in for more than a day, the hair will curl and you have to carefully brush that shit completely out or it will mat…whether while washing it, or, especially, if you “keep the curls” and sleep on them. You have to carefully detangle that before you wash it and, OMG! I could not STAND to see how she was trying to comb her hair out with those tangles! Like I said, patience of a toddler. That’s how our girls tried to comb their hair when they were toddlers. Straight hair, just out of the bath, it’s not ready to just comb through. I used to ask them “why do you hate your hair so much that you irreversibly tangle it like that?” Ugh! I cannot imagine what would be the response from some of my friends if I even SUGGESTED that I wanted to do my hair like that (I would not, it would not occur to me to ask, and if I did, I can see one of my friends laughing hysterically because she would KNOW I was joking. I would never be so disrespectful, frankly. As a woman, I am well aware that not everything is for me. And as a white woman, I am also very well aware that some things even for other women are not for me. Respect for other cultures, in my view, is also respect for oneself.🤷🏻‍♀️) I hope this has not been offensive to any of the Black Women who may read it. If it is, I am open to learning. Please let me know where I have gone wrong…even if it is as simple as daring to write anything in this comment section. A dear, lifelong friend of mine tells me, when I write something long to her, “Kathy, you trippin’” So, you know. I can “trip.”🙂

    That last woman/hair stylist is a “ pick me” so her words are defending ww and attacking BW. What I don’t understand is why they want to look like us so badly when they say the standard of beauty is white. And why is her black manager adding oil to fire by encouraging her to braid her hair so as to upset BW. I think we “all” know by now that the standard of beauty is a BW, they copy us all the time, they wanna be us. Our hair was made for braiding, it’s part of our culture. I don’t mind WW having braids, it’s their choice but they should be fully aware of what it entails for their hair type. Interesting content

  • @msreen269

    @msreen269

    For Real!!! I wouldn’t even go as far as to call the “pick me” a stylists, it leads others to believe she can do more than braid hair and that’s being nice. A real veteran hair stylist would have pointed out that a lot more attention to detail goes into wearing African braid extensions. We don’t just slap braids extensions in our hair and keep it moving. As she was taking the braids out, what was obvious is how split, dry and brittle her hair was, it would have matted up even if she combed it out before washing. Due to her hair texture and the noticeable over processed bleaching/coloring, what would have saved her the trouble of chopping it off is, along with combing out the dead hair, would have been a hot oil treatment and a cholesterol deep condition. Research and asking questions respectfully is the big difference between appropriation and appreciation. They don’t appreciate what Black women bring to the table. They just steal it.

    It doesn't make you a pick me for you to wish bad things on a person wearing box braids is actually a sign of admiration she likes the way the box braids look on black BW. If we want people to be nice to us then we have to learn how to not be so mean and call everything karma. She did not do her research as to how she should take her hair out. That has nothing to do with karma she just took the easy way out because she didn't have the patience to properly untangle her hair. We have to do better because every day y'all put weaves on and no one says anything about cultural appropriation to black women I mean we have a shitload of videos that we watched with women black women in particular putting on straight hair weaves. I'm just going to call a spade a spade please y'all we have to do better she's a woman first and y'all need to stop bashing her because she admired are box braids. No one can be a pick-me if they're voicing their opinion on how evil y'all sound talkin about karma that's somebody's child. If you want people to respect you black women then you have to know when somebody is showing admiration and stop making it all about cultural appropriation. About the Black braider/ stylis's remarks. As a licensed cosmetologist/ braider I can honestly say NO LICENSED PROFESSIONAL I have ever met would come in with a defintive analysis of someone's hair without getting more information, inspecting the hairs actual texture, porosity, oil buildup, and treatment before making such a statement. I can honestly say that many factors could have contributed to her loss of hair. For instance, allowing the hair to get wet while braided and dried without moisturizing and conditioning the hair. White women to get oil buildup and therfore have to shampoo it everyday or every other day. If she did do this while braided, it will be fine when she takes the hair out but a soon as it gets wet, it'll mat up similarly to how it did. Bleached hair not properly conditioned will do the same regardless of texture. As will braided hair that's not accustomed to being braided with hair added. This are some factors that was missing from the analysis that the braider/stylist failed to mention. Braids are infamous for breaking and causing damage to unhealthy hair regardless of texture. But if you use kinky hair on straight hair and put fiction, pulling up into ponytails, shaking hair around can cause supplies & or damage to the straight hair that's unseen. Which would have been difficult to see with the crinkles she had. Box braids are not for every hair type or every texture. She was warned about box braids specially, which added the synthetic fibers to her own hair Let that be a lesson. And stylist, braiders, etc.... make sure to leave your ego behind, and let your professionalism shine, otherwise you look like a fool by breaking the very first rule of cosmetology, consultation, before recommendation. When you don't know, you just don't KNOW

    When you all watch these videos, please don't go to their actual social media pages. Watch it in secondary stitches or in videos through channels such as this. Stop supporting them. You can tell from her eyes how hurt she was that she had to cut her hair. Their hair actually cannot handle our styles in general, especially long term. For example, a girl i worked with got jump corn rows with feed in. A few of us told her to be careful taking down her hair. She showed back up to work after she took them out. . .baby girl hair was THIN. She didnt have to cut it, but she was definitely missing a couple thousand strands.

    As well as these are not Viking braids or Scandinavian bracelet clearly afro braids and not all of them are from Africa some of the braids like the cornrow and a box braids is from America now the Fulani braids she better not try to dick it's the African girls up come for her head stay know who the Target and they know who to pick on and they do it a lot and it's not an accident. Well anyway I sent all this to say I don't even have a Twitter Facebook or Instagram account I saw the story on KZread I think a lot of the people that she's getting all this attention from is not black. Because if you want to win an election or give popular in America all you have to do is denigrate black people especially women. But politically if you did a great black men say all black men are criminals all the sudden you can run for president and online if you talk about my black women you get popular it just seems to be the way that this toll eugenic institution was set up.

Yes the braid out is beautiful but when you don't have course hair your hair isn't used to being coiled comes the matting.

They are using her, she's using them. The best thing we can do, as we've had our say now, is make her the irrelevant troll she is. All attention ain't good attention, and the very thing you did to get the attention is what you have to continue, or top to hold that. She cannot keep this up, and if we want to show her the power of blackness and unity, ignore her. No more stiches, reports on her, let her fade to...lol BLACK

I’ve never known a bw getting her NATURAL coily, kinky, curly moisturized hair braided be it her own hair or braided in hair ….as long as it wasn’t pulled tight over fragile relaxed aka STRAIGHTENED hair …it worked out just fine. So imma need the side braids fiasco chick to take all little white gurls hair and give them intricate traditional Afro hair braided styles and we about to see a mass tribute to the late great Sinead O’Connor shortly thereafter.
