All that poor dog is feeling choked by his mom who is supposed to love him. Put the darn leash on your poor abused dog so he can get some air. Only twice have I ever used a choke hold. 1. Only in dog fights to get one off the other and 2. If a dog was trying to attack me while grooming or training. This will cower her dog for A while. I have told people that by law you have to have a leash on your dog and someone telling you to put your dog on a leash is no reason to call the police and if he said I will do what I have to do he probably meant he also would all the police for cruelty and/or call animal control. Just put the dog on a leash.

Did you see his Facebook post about the incident? It is part way through this video. It paints a very different picture than 99% of the news and social media info about this case. Likely she mistook his veiled threat as a legitimate threat to her dog. So not really a false report. It really explains why she is so shaken up when the video starts. Nothing explains her using his race against him though. But what was he thinking making threats to a woman? Black or not, his actions don't reflect well on him either. Making threats to a female stranger is not likely to go the way you want it to...

Moreso, that he was being VERY underhanded to the point of being an absolute creep and she got upset. People ask "if she was being threatened why didn't she walk away?" But if you've ever been shook by someone threatening you, you will know that rationality doesn't come easy in those moments. I was told if I didn't drop the charges I would fall down a flight of stairs. I didn't drop the charges. But I also didn't pull a racist. What can we learn from this? Don't make women feel small when you want to get their way because they know how to make you feel smaller because it is their only recourse. And when you feel small, don't attack someone for their race because then you are the monster.

He tells her "if you are going to do what you are going to do, I'm going to do what I'm going to do. *pulls out dog treats* Here doggy. Amy: "he won't come to you" Chris: "We'll see." That is creepy af. These are his words. So that is why she calls the cops. She is still guilty of a crime, using a man's race to get the cops to come quicker. Chris did not use her gender. But he did intimidate a woman in a seemingly isolated area. It's very likely he didn't mean anything by it. He posted his account of the confrontation on his wall. He was seemingly aloof to it being taken the wrong way. But bringing dog treats just for that occasion is just petty, weird behavior. And her behaviour is also petty and weird. But she was not the one who started the confrontation. She had a seemingly valid reason for being there, despite flouting the rules. She tells him she doesn't feel safe over there and then he gets creepy? Say what you want about her, but she didn't lie to the cops.

The USA is one scary place. God help our brothers and sisters.

Honestly, they were both in the wrong. She was wrong for having her dog off leash where it’s not allowed and he was wrong for telling her “you’re not going to like what I’m going to do...” which can be perceived as a threat. Then proceeding to call her dog over offering it something that could be poison. Remember this is a woman by her self in a park and this is a man. Regardless of his race it’s perfectly understandable why she would be afraid. Imagine yourself in this situation, you have this little altercation with someone and that person tells you “you’re not going to like what I’m going to do”, I’m sorry but what other way is that supposed to be perceived besides as a threat? For the people talking about the dog being choked idk if you’ve been around dogs but a dog can sense when his owner is afraid. The dog was anxious, if she didn’t hold him, it probably could’ve ran away or attacked the guy. I think she should’ve just walked away and he probably shouldn’t be offering dogs treats without permission from the owner. Whether her calling the cops was racially motivated or from fear idk and I don’t presume to know. However, CNN shouldn’t be portraying this from only one perspective, blowing it up to the point this lady lost her job during a pandemic. In a time when many of us are struggling, it’s disturbing how many people can just hatefully view things from one perspective, assuming it must be racism. Next time you find yourself in a situation where you have to call the cops, good luck trying to describe the person without mentioning race.

Did you happen to read his social media post that is about half way through the video. The way he portrays the events leading up to his footage actually gives more context to why she may have felt threatened. Just pause and read it and ask if the narrative about her lying still makes sense. He appeared to be making threatening remarks about her dog to win the argument. And he starts filming directly after. To be clear, this doesn't excuse her actions in the slightest but it definitely explains them better than people's assumptions that she called the cops on him for telling her to leash her dog. Again, his own words show grounds for her to feel threatened. No one asked for her account of the story but they didn't need to.

I don't know, even if I read the leading-up dialog in the most aggressive way, I don't think he had expressed any threat to her directly. Maybe a dubious intent on the dog. However, she definitely overreacted when she emphasized "I'm gonna tell them there is an African American man threatening my life". It's a shame she lost her job over this BS but this could have turned out even worse. When the cops had come expecting a black man assaulting a white woman... you know how bad this could have ended. Yes, on another new report I heard a lawyer saying that he's seen calls like this played in court and they convince a jury. She is a vice president of a bank, good character and with this call it would be enough to convict.
