Dr. Carter's thoughts are within the confines of Liberation Theology. This goes back to the Reformation of the latter 15th Century. There is nothing wrong with being historically accurate, and conveying truth. I live in Alabama, and there are some individuals in both communities that are under-cover racist. Both parties need to repent, and be united in love. In the same spirit, there is nothing wrong with reflecting on the unfortunate events of history. Everyone has the right to retaliate against the enemy. This involves those in authority, etc. Preach on Doc!

What do we do with the black slave owners? Do they repent too?🤷🏽‍♀️ God holds each accountable individually. Exodus 20:5-6 says, “For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.” People….. read ya bible. You will be accountable for keeping this lesson in your heart 🙏🏾 Choose God….not angry pastors

@@ChickSage read ya Bible. Judge not is a lesson taught by the world to silence Christians that don’t read the verse in completion nor study the subject of “judging”. We do “judge”…..righteously. Please resume studying before commenting on something when the world is still on your breath. Also read your history on how blacks also know slaves. As a black, I identify with Christ first….not color, not gender, not the world--but Christ. Each person is accountable individually. Those in the past that did evil, did not repent will be judged. Otherwise, the future generation should not be forced pay for past mistakes. Even God does not require that.

He needs to read his bible for it teaches us this: 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new". This verse is for all the peoples of the world regardless of their race or ethnicity! This one verse will bring us all together as believers and not divide us. The Bible also teaches us in Philippians 3:13-14 "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus". It sounds to me like he is not forgetting those things which are behind! Shame on him.

The black slave isn't saved because murder is contrary to Jesus' teachings; even if his actions may have been beneficial to other slaves. And the same with the white man, even if it was considered socially acceptable to have slaves during his time. The preacher needs to teach his ppl to surrender their hearts/will to the true will of Christ, rather than antagonizing whites. And what kind of "theology" is liberation theology? Jesus' theology is true liberation.

Apparently this "preacher" missed the memo that those who teach will be judged even more harshly for their actions. So many things wrong here. Racism is rooted in pride and fear. This man hasn't renounced either in his own heart, thus he's failing to divide and teach God's Word correctly. If we harbor anger, hatred and resentment in our hearts and don't deal with it at the Lord's promptings eventually we'll reap spiritual blindness in this area and our spiritual life will suffer accordingly until its dealt with. It's a terrifying thing to be given over to our sin.

Has it ever occurred to the religious black community that the reason that racism (one true race and all others are wrong by default) still exists in the US society is because they help to promote this monotheistic philosophy that there is only one true spiritual path and all others are wrong by default? This would seem fairly fundamental to me. I do like this guy's showmanship though. However Nat Turner was killing all white men, not just slavemasters.

Do the Blacks in Africa who captured other blacks and sold them to the slavers also need to repent? Racism is nothing more than sin, and ALL are partakers of sin. ALL, regardless of race, are commanded to repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ! This true repentance and faith will wipe out ALL guilt (past, present, and future) for ALL who partake! The precious blood of Christ was shed without partiality to race!

if indeed you are a Black preacher, you must examine why you are hesitant to hold white males and white females accountable in america. modern evangelical christianity was spawned on the slave plantation. slave ships were literally named jesus christ. it is historical record. america would not exist without race, without the system of racism white supremacy. and as Dr. King stated then and now, the 11'o clock hour on Sunday remains the most segregated in america. now, you took what this preacher said out of context. america's or rather white america's greatest sin is their racism. it is not opinion, it is historical fact.

I guess you think repentance only comes if whites bow down to blacks and beg for forgiveness? This is not the old testament time. We are in the age of grace. What ever sins that were committed by the fathers will NOT be held agains their sons. I'm sick of people victimizing themselves and blaming the white man. And BTW, slavery only lasted 90 years, from 1776 - 1865 with the passing of the 13th amendment. Also, since you are so smart, prove Biblically that owning a slave is a sin. Rev.Josh Th.B.

This "sermon" saddens me. We pastors must minister Truth from the Bible apart from racial/political bias. Truth be known, slavery amongst black African tribes existed (and still does exist) long before Europeans practiced it. And various white ethnic groups within the European continent enslaved one another from time to time. Asians, Middle Easterners, and South Americans are not innocent in this regard as well. This is a sin against God and His highest creation - man, not just a racial one.

I agree, bitterness can't be the issue here, if this factual. Moses and Pharoh didn't have the same God. I believe in liberation theology. Jesus challenged the government, and political system of his day.

@nickyochomoyo if you dont repent from hate it becomes bitternis and bitternis my friend has a long long root.you are right about this preacher.so i asked forgifnes for all the white people what they did to the black people.but does it help?i hope so.and they say that god never goes against his own word so the LORD could never have said kill 120 people.THOU SHALL NOT KILL.but then again the bible has many contradictions.

@@darz3829 actually God never told Elijah anything about a still small voice either. Whoever wrote the “Kings” said that Elijah heard a still small voice. Actually in Hebrew “the sound of shear silence”. But I do agree with you - sometimes less is more. I respect the sanctity of quiet.
