Awesome to see Lyric! I borrowed his phone just south of Shenandoah on my section hike earlier this spring. Shared a campsite. That cigar guitar is great! I wondered if it would make it with him. Love following your journey. Thanks for taking us along.

I have been hiking that Whites since 1978 and I have hiked that section many times. I did the Pemi loop in 2021 and I broke my poles on that section. Garfield Ridge has my number, it always has.For me it’s one of the most difficult sections in the Whites. If you get a chance to come back and hike the Whites head out to the area where you made the incorrect turn, the Bonds are extremely beautiful and maybe the best place in the Whites. Enjoy your hike.

You’re not alone regarding that extra.7 off trail. I’ve see a few thru hikers up on Guyot mountain inquiring if they were on the trail!

Man, people talk about Pennsylvania trail being rocky...New Hampshire certainly exceeds that! If PA is "Rocksylvania"...then NH is "Boulderampshire". Peanut Butter Injection power-up ! LOL

You could do a whole 30 minute video of rain at a shelter

Hell! How do you even know you're off trail? There's no service up there and looks like no real AT specific markings! That sucks!

Don't need cell service. Just typical Phone GPS feature is enough. Yes, you got to pre-buffer some maps, but pretty sure there has been plenty of time for that.
