White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre took questions Tuesday after Democrats in Congress held a closed-door meeting to discuss President Biden’s viability as a candidate in his 2024 run against former President Donald Trump. Questions about Biden’s health have run rampant since his debate against Trump, with Biden insisting several times he’s not ending his reelection bid.

Even Biden's interview with Stephanopoulis where he knew the questions ahead of time didn't remove any concerns about his cognitive decline. The main problem isn't that Biden won't step down. It is pretty much a given now that Biden or even a replacement will lose. The main problem is that many Democrats who don't believe they have a good choice for president will choose to not go to the voting booth at all which means they won't be voting for any other Democrats on the tickets.
