When I first heard this I was like “um no” but then like most of her songs I heard it twice more and then five times more and now I can appreciate every single unique thing about it. Her music is just so different you appreciate the little things. The Hums the raspy voice the odd lyrics that don’t necessarily flow but she makes it all work

This song makes me nostalgic for a time when I felt similarly to how she describes her memories here. I was in community college; I didn't have to work. Much of my income actually came from financial aid refunds. I spent my days learning and studying every classic subject that interested me, expanding my mind and falling in love with life and the human condition, and humans in general. I was free and fun and flirtatious, and I had various lovers and romantic interests. I partied and smiled and laughed with cherished friends. I composed poetry often and had dreams of having a book published. I was physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthier. I truly was on top of the world then. And I long to at least be a semblance of that person again. This song inspires me to reach for grand heights again and to be overwhelmed by joy once more.

@@seankearns3889 lol been listening to Lana since 2012, and I love her imagery in her songs and her songs in general. However, for someone who studies the English language, I know it's better to use cut down on words that seem out of place and unnecessary. That only sounds pretentious. You should read Good with words by Patrick Barry to realize how important it is for words to go with the rest of the song.

Happened to me too. Its Lana. Its poetry. Sometimes it takes time to truly feel her songs, but when u do there’s no way back. Its addiction.
Everything’s fine except for the line down at the men in the music business conference is so wordy like it just doesn’t work for me 😫😫

Coz you probably only listen to popular radio songs that follow a set Rythm and please everyone... real ear worms love Lana!!!

I made a slowed+reverb of this song if u wanna check it out🤍
Great song selections but clean up the typos on this and cinnamon girl please
You spelled waitress wrong

Why don't you get copyrighted for stealing the song?
@melancholialyrics

it’s not stealing, some artists allow people to use their songs in their videos, and the songs are always credited in the description
i just wish she didn't sing the chorus like that but it's still good tho

@@lenzies4238 it feels like she's destroying her voice trying the reach the 'men in the music business conference'. I've heard about rumors how she's losing her voice...if that's true, she shouldn't be trying to reach what she can't easily
