‘Whistleblowers Are Being Punished' NHS Bosses ‘Destroy Careers’ Of Staff Who Speak Out
Talk’s Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by former NHS trust chairman Roy Lilley.
Julia and Roy discuss claims that NHS staff face having their ‘careers destroyed’ if they speak out for patients.
The Telegraph reported it had spoken to 50 doctors and nurses who feel that they have been targeted after raising concerns about the deaths or poor care of patients.
Roy says that things do go wrong in the NHS, and staff need to speak out to make sure it does not happen again.

We had a whistleblower sacked in our local NHS trust. He subsequently sued for unfair dismissal and won his case. The trust challenged the decision through the courts and eventually lost. Apart from the problems caused by the whistleblower being ignored the financial cost to the trust in compensation and legal fees has been huge. The trust manager resigned and is now working in another trust in a similar position. Reward for failure again.
The biggest problem the NHS have is there's too many administrative staff and manager, and what the heck does the NHS need so many diversity and equality managers

1. because they are worried that their increasingly diverse staff and patients will sue them 2. because they have gone full woke
The National Horrendous Service strikes again.
I'm deeply concerned about the lack of protection of whistleblowers in the NHS.
I was a whistle blower at Canterbury hospital. I wasn’t targeted but my complaints went nowhere
this woman! just bloody let the guest speak!!!
Defunct the NHS immediately I want my money back 🖕
Huge lessons still to be learned from the airline industry where the pilots and crew have a vested in making sure the aircraft is safe...
Join workers of England union, don’t expect unions to help you they are bought and paid for by big businesses 🙄

I was in unions all my working life. The only people they seemed to protect were the lazy and incompetent.
In almost all organisations those who aren't "easily manageable" are usually persecuted. And, the more incompetent the management, the more this happens.
Engineering companies operate a Quality System that includes nonconformance (admissions) reports and corrective actions all in the open to solve the problems and improve the end result. They are considered to be system faults, not individual errors / misjudgements. But who needs engineers when you have economists, accountants and politicians running the show?
🤣😂 - better than the Boeing treatment
Letby is innocent im telling you. There is great concern over the case

Totally agree! There’s a very good piece on this in The New Yorker. Researched by Rachel Aviv, 13-05-24. Fact is, Letby was convicted on circumstantial evidence.
Never believe that HR represents employees. Get yourself a union membership, seek independent advice and trust no-one. That means documenting everything.
PLEASE stop treating Medical and Education institutes as businesses. They are not ,or shouldn't be, about profit. Ever. And as for HR departments...

THE NHS IS FULL 😅OF FOREIGNERS LOOKING AFTER FOREIGNERS 😅
And that's the whole purpose of the safeguards is for this not to happen to WB.
It sure beats being a whistle blower at Boeing.
The nhs is not fit for purpose
Is this why so many NHS were quiet during the midazalam dosing and NG163 protocols in 2020 and ongoing? And the jab harms ongoing?
The infected blood thing shows that covering things up doesn't work out fine!
How many have been used as scapegoats due to the poor quality of NHS miss Management . The NHS is not safety critical at all, just try criticizing and feel the backlash.
Apologise don't change the damage caused by mistakes tho & neither does money when mistakes continue to be made.
Uk is not united anymore
That commenter is THE WORST!!! take her off the caffeine so she'll let her guest talk,,,
After the infected blood stuff, you know that they do much more than persecute whistle-blowers I hid needle stick injuries in syringe exchanges when I worked for the NHS!
Its all about money and contracts. Privatisation.
Talk TV talking the talk.................NOW! step back to 2021?
Please, your questions are too long and often contain your opinion, then you continually interrupt the answer. Go home and re-evaluate yourself.
