If my dog ran around like that, he'd need to take a nap for a week.😂

Remarkable breed. Best dogs in the world. And sometimes outsmart their owners. 😂
… that lovely, happy doggy face when you praise Echo - priceless! 🥳
It really does look cold. Gilbertson and Paige need to supply you with warm gloves! Wonderful to watch Echo and even better to see the respect and ❤ he has for you.

Even better, a man’s muff that is worn around the waist. Hand warmers inside the muff. My husband has one for hunting.
Loved watching Echo working. The sheep, again, made me smile. The moments when they stood right in front of you, it seemed as if they were waiting for the whistle to then collectively run to one side. As if they knew what Echo was about to do... 😊 Loving your dogs, enjoying your sheep as well. Thank you for sharing. ❤

The speed on Echo is awesome to watch! Stacey must get out her knitting needles and knit you some lovely warm half-finger gloves. And also some full finger gloves!
Clever dog, clever trainer! Beautiful Echo, love these videos.

Thank you very much!
It’s been fun watching Echo grow from a puppy into an amazing sheep dog.
Good boy Echo. It really is true that Border Collies learn so fast. Mental Stimulation off the charts. ❤❤
Thank you for, again, reminding me why I love this breed so much.
One of my favorite things to watch. Echo.. good boy !
Absolutely, these sheep are much more intelligent than the commercial sheep. They understand the commands. You see it in how they move in response to the whistle commands to the dog.
Hats off, Sean. And Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. From the bottom of our hearts. Cheers, 🥂!
It sure is fun to watch the pups work. Starting the new year off right.
I really enjoyed watching you train Echo today. I'd love to see some more videos of you working with your dogs with a little explanation of what you're doing and what you're expecting from the dogs.
Your channel and the dogs are such a pleasure. You put so much time into both, and I do appreciate it. Cheers from Oklahoma, USA!
Echo did 10/10 and always looking at you for the next command (watching this got both my dogs and my male cat super excited … it’s 11pm 🙃😭)
Love to all bordercoolies and other dogs and family God bless all
I'm starting to learn the commands myself now. :-) Very interesting to watch Echo refreshing his memory, too.
Another day starting with a smile! Thank you.

The sheep come right up to Daddy Sean, saying "Save us from the scary dog!"
Love watching your pups work! And I swear the sheep know what is happening and play the game! 😂
Estes cães são incríveis!! Grande abraço do Brasil 🇧🇷🥰
Those sheep are exhausted and looking forward to a drink and dinner.
An early happy birthday to Sean, Stacy, and Kate!
I love watching your dogs work, Sean. Thanks for another great video.
Another great video Sean! It's like watching a fine craftsman working with good tools, but better because the tools are your beautiful, well-trained, brilliant dogs. Watching your dogs run at full sprint is instant stress relief.
Brrrrr! I was cold watching you out there. Echo did a great job today!
Good boy, Echo. From Australia, in the middle of a hot summer.
Brilliant... fantastic bit of play and refreshments on whistle....., And it got my BC up off her ass....she was watching TV and nodding her head side to side with ears pinned fwd with each whistle blow.

Back in the 70s/80s, I was a training NCO with the Argylls.on many an occasion we went on live firing exercises on the Otterburn training area. One not so popular task, was getting up early doors to take a squad out onto the training area hills, to clear the sheep from the danger area.We had to complete this task daily, at the crack of dawn, this to enable firing to start at 0800hrs.Until one range warden struck a deal with the training area commandant. This entailed the range warden appearing about 0730hrs.with his 3 dogs, clearing the hills in 10 minutes or so.I witnessed it on a number of occasions and was always impressed.
Lost my bc on Christmas Eve after IV therapy to save him. Bad vestibular system incident (13yo). Love watching your pups. Feeling good now.
Great video, Sean. Love watching you work with Echo. He is so big by comparison to my BC. I loved your other video posted recently (the Q and A) as well. Take care. Hello to Stacey.
You have three super dogs over there. I love each one of them!
I’ve never had any but border collies in my house, actually the farm. My father bred, raised and trained border collies starting about 1935. At that time most people didn’t know what a border collie was. He sold trained puppies to working people but never to people who wanted them as pets. Our farm was on the eastern shore of Maryland in America. The dogs worked cattle, not sheep. He took his dogs to field trials up and down the east coast. We had a large box of awards, ribbons and prizes from the dogs. His dogs were trained to voice, whistle and hand signals. He had a funny flat metal whistle that went in the roof of his mouth. I never figured out how to work it. He won one trial when the sheep were out of sight behind a mound. Dad’s dogs had a hand signal for go back and the dog went over the mound, picked up the sheep and they were penned in no time but all the other dogs lost time just trying to find the sheep. The next year, all the dogs had a command for go back!
Echo is making excellent progress. Happy new year to you, Stacy, Echo, Storm and Kate
I think the sheep know the commands, too! Sean, you should have gloves! Even work gloves would help.
Love watching Echo❤❤❤❤❤
Poetry in motion. Love the new intro.❤❤❤
Thanks for explaining the whistle commands!
Echo is a very Good Boy!
These videos are absolutely amazing! Such smart dogs! (From Colorado USA)
I tried to blow one if those whistles and just couldn’t get the hang of it. It’s such a good tool, your voice will never travel as far as a whistle
I love watching your dogs work!
Thanks for sharing Echo's hard work...off topic but he has a brilliant, healthy mouth with perfect teeth! A great advert for Gilpa feed!
I love the new Intro. Puppies!
Started watching this while having lunch with my springer spaniel in the kitchen, had to turn it off a minute in 🤣
Lovely video, lovely dog. Echo is a good boi
You could do with a pair of rechargeable handwarmers from an online store 😊
Echo is a good boy. He didn't look cold and either did the sheep. After he got his drink and came running up to you, he wasn't even out of breath! Amazing! Happy to see subscribers are now over 300K Gosh! I can't wait for 1 million so for now......."C'mon 400K" 😂
it seems that even the sheeps understands where to go eh. (by the whistle commands)....do they?..
Very impressed at the way you and the dogs work together. But, a question from a complete Townie! Do the sheep get stressed?
If Echo picks up a couple of Kate`s tricks along the way, he`ll be a hard dog to out do. Great young dog you have there.
Thanks Sean!
Would be helpful for us first-timers if you added a caption as to what each whistle means. Love your channel. Best of the New Year to you and your family.
Lovely bordercollie best in the world strongest, run fast, social
Cool new intro I love it 😊
Loved the video and the new opening! Question- do your sheep normally live in that pasture? Thank you!
Great intro photos!

Absolutely love your videos thank you for “a little bit of fun”!!
I love seeing him progress!
I am curious if your colleague(s) on the farm also have their own working dogs that tend the sheep or cattle.
I guess it's the mother and grandmother in me , but I have to ask , where are your gloves? You are so fortunate to get to work with these beautiful dogs. It's as if they know why they are here, and that is to herd. Thanks for another great video. BTW the weather's is cold here in the U.S. also.

We loved the dickens out of our first BC, so smart and trained himself for the most part and beneficial. We now have a Border Aussie, any tips on first learning direction????
Boy i sure would love to know how to train my border collie/great pyranees how to respond to cammands!❤
Sean, great video and good work from Echo. Do you prefer the whistle or voice commands?
Echo is a great dog. And this is an interesting video, but I had to stop it as my 13 years old retirered sheepdog got excited and tried to figure out what to do and where to run in the livingroom
Love watching him take off running for those sheep! Would you ever work with other types of herding dogs like shelties or australian shepherds? Just curious if border collies are a preference or if they are better for what you need them to do.
Love from India ❤❤❤❤❤
Love your videos. I see a little different intro (I'll still give a little wave to Kate :-)

going to teach my 9 young grandchildren these! commands!!! what you think? lol...HNYear every one xxx n

The dogs do so much running, Do you regularly pic up sharp rocks on the fields to prevent injuries or do the dogs just have super tough pads from on thier feet?
❤
can we visit you in Scotland Sean? Cheers from NYC!!
I think the hardest thing would be having to reverse your commands for the dog leaving you and coming to you. I think my brain would be too confused.
Love to watching your videos. I got my hubby the whistle and he hasn't been able to get it to make a sound, any hints? We want to use it for our Aussies, not herding but just as a come. He already whistles for them, but had some dental surgery and now can whistle as loud as he used to.
who loves doing this more ? you or the dogs ?

The dogs. Border Collies require a lot of mental stimulation. They aren't your run on a mill pet dogs that just like to stay at home and do nothing. If Border Collies have nothing to do, they tend to be destructive and herd other animals even people.
do the sheep ever learn how to react to the whistles
I am a small sheep farmer with a couple of boarder collies. I wanted to train my dogs myself. Very easy. However, I needed advice to go further with the collies and found one of the better international sheep dog competitors near me to help. For Come bye and away I was thinking left and right. He picked me up on it. He explained that it is not left and right, but Clock wise and Anti clock wise, which is what I am seeing you do very well whilst out working your dogs. However, when you discuss / explain Come by and Away you say left and right which confuses me because you are demanding the opposite to what you are actually doing. It is very logically simple… Come by = Clock wise… C = C. Away = Anti clockwise… A = À. No left right….
I've never seen black sheep before....
How do you do commands (voice and whistle) when you are working with more than one dog, Sean???
Hi Sean. How is going Storm with his health?
Hi Sean, Is it ever necessary to give the dogs commands to move the sheep away from you?? Would there be a way to do that? I'm thinking of when the sheep are up near you in that pasture and you want them to be at the far end so a dog could herd them back to you??
Can you please write down the link for the pipe? I have a similar one for training, but mine is bigger and makes me gag. Your dogs are working great! ❤

Train the sheep and give the dogs a rest.
Sorry, i hate to be a complainer, but I was hoping to gain advice on HOW to transfer from the voice command to the whistle… ? Thank you 😊
Question: If a dog run hard (making heart pump fast) then is told to stop without a cool down period isn't that hard on the heart muscles?

Border collies have different cardiovascular systems in comparison to other breeds. They also can move their shoulder blades over top of each other like cats. They are born athletes.
How old is Echo, kate and Stormy?
Hehe
Hey Sean, i loved the photo of the puppy in the intro. Which dog was it? Echo looked like he was doing a fine job! 😊 I love watching your videos! Hi to Stacy! ❤

Echo is fast as lightning and got in a good workout here. Loved seeing him get a drink of water. Sean - GLOVES!! Can anybody guess who has birthdays this month? Humans and dogs. S, S, K.🎂🎁💐🌺💜🩵💙
Isn't it a bit dodgy getting the dog to herd the sheep towards you? At one point, I thought you were going to get ram over 😂 Sorry 🥺
I don't know but like I'm paying attention to you and I'm trying to watch okay but the one thing I see is that you're running them really hard and I don't see you giving them a chance to stop and catch their breath I no
