My wife and I met at karaoke. I was a rock guy and had to learn country to woo her. I memorized this song so I could sing it perfect with her. Long story short, we fell in love, got married and have two beautiful kids. But lately we've been struggling and hearing this version today made me realize I don't want to lose her and to get back to wooing her. Great job guys

That's the thing that is so hard to remember. You have to keep dating each other. I'm not talking about expensive dinners and gifts. Time and attention. That time you spent listening to each other, when you wanted to hear everything they said and know their thoughts. Devotion.

Lost mine 3 years ago to the same, she lied she cheated and we deff went thru some shit. She finally apologized the night before and we sat down and had a really good talk, it started to turn south at the the end of the night. Her last words to me were “leave now or you’ll regret it”… I was just trying to tell her I loved her no matter what, go the call from her mom the next morning.

I gotta give it to you guys. I am a former singer of traditional country music so "Whiskey Lullaby" is a staple in my set list. Ive never heard a rock version of this song but its really good. This song will always will a winner as the story sells itself. I just wanted you to know, you just gave a whole new group of people something we can all identify with. Way to bridge the gap.

Lost one of my best friends 8 years ago cause his girlfriend since 7th grade left him for another friend. He went into a state park with a bottle of Pendleton and a rifle. And never came out. Left behind a beautiful daughter. I still message his ex to this day and can’t put words to the grief she still feels. This song, it hits home. Couldn’t stomach the country version for years cause of the comparisons I’d draw.

The original captured the sadness and depression perfectly. This one captures the anger that mixes into the two so well. This is all from my opinion, I've been through dark times with this song and this cover fully encapsulates my emotions from it. Well done, guys. I love it.

I didn't get the anger from it. The sadness came through on the male vocals, but the female vocals just came across kinda flat to me. She may have been going for anger, I can see that, but I just don't think she got there. Probably because she was curtailing her vocal range. It seemed like she was purposely singing on the low end and below her natural range. This just detracted from the overall performance. Anger is as much intonation as tone and timber. All of that said, this wasn't a horrible cover. It probably isn't fair to compare anyone to Allison Krouse when it comes to singing. I would give it 3.5 out of 5.

My past constantly haunts me and it's demons are always there. The what ifs, and the should've, could've , would've things are always in my mind to this day. Every night that I didn't have my daughters with me I was in the bottle. It was the only thing that dulled the pain and what was always available. My girls don't speak to me much anymore. My ex wife and her ignorant family poisoned them against me. They're grown now. One is 21 and my youngest is 19. Hopefully one day they'll come around? I try to live each day the best I can in the way I know how. I wish I could say it's gets easier. Some days are OK. Other days not so much. My mind is my own worst enemy. I can't escape it. I know I did good things for my girls in the past but the only things I can remember are my failures. The good things and accomplishments are just a blur. It's a constant battle. Believe me, I get it.

Even today -- so many years after the original Brad Paisley/Alison Krauss version -- when I rewatch that video, I get chills. The song itself is narrative perfection; their voices, sublime; the video a haunting mini-film. Came across your video by accident. Watched it. GOT CHILLS. ❤

I believe John Randall wrote this song and i still think his version is the best. It absolutely guts me when i hear it. Brad and Allison were phenomenal aswell. Im a huge metal and country fan but when i heard that there was a metal cover of this song I scoffed because i thought there was no way it was going to work.. Man how wrong i was. This was absolutely fantastic. A beautiful melding of country and metal i didnt think was possible. Great job to you all!!

This gave me chills. I grew up listening to the original but this cover really blew me away. The woman singing in this has the perfect voice for a song like this. It keeps the sadness of the original but makes it feel so much more powerful. So much more emotional and desperate. Like at 2:41, the way she sings this part makes it cut so much deeper. Perfectly done! I think I actually like this version more

As someone who lived through something like this...this song makes me wanna cry and punch a hole in a wall at the same time. Every day on my way to work I thought "hey, what about it? there is a beautiful tree in this corner and I am going over 120kph (75mph)". I am glad now I had some people who actually cared about me and my sister who reminded me, that it would be an a-hole move, hurting everyone in our family by ending myself. I don't even know why I sometimes listen to this ballad, maybe to remind myself how lucky I am, and to see that I am def. not alone in this. Keep on living, don't let these moment drag you down.

My wife showed me this cover a couple weeks ago (her being the country fan and me being pure metal). I couldn't believe what I was listening to. Astounding, I thought it was great. However, it was just right now that I watched the music video. This changes everything. The video adds a level of intensity and darkness I simply did not expect, even from a song like this. I am dumbfounded. Truly unbelievable. Well done when you can bring even a hardass like me to tears.

Hell yeah.. I absolutely love anything Caitlynne Curtis does (the acoustic version of God We Need You Now with Struggle Jennings, I listen to several times a day!) she is so underrated in the biz and cannot wait to see her blow up to her full potential.. this Powerhouse version of a beloved classic took me one time to hear it to become a fan. You know, growing up admiring Brad Paisley and His entire body of work I couldn't imagine anyone ever redoing anything of His! This right here, however, is just AMAZING! From start to finish, even the visuals speak truth.. people see a big man and automatically think, "Well, he would just kick the shxt outta that drunk dude.." and the reality is men and women BOTH have emotions, in spite of their personal battles and in a wild way, Love still wins in the end.. why you MUST let those you love know TODAY! -RIGHT NOW!- while you are still here.. while THEY are still here! Great song!❤
