    I have a Lady Kenmore portable dryer, and I also have the matching washer to it, and it works quite well. One time I dried a large load of clothes from my Maytag A810 washer, and it dried a large load of regular clothes just fine.

    These dryers are pretty fast, but when they are full of lint, they will take forever to dry.

    I just used our whirlpool dryer for the first time (in our RV) and I pulled off the accusensor. Ugh! I thought maybe it was the lint trap but now I know it's not. I can't get it to go back in now. Is it needed?

    How does this treat clothing labeled "tumble dry low heat" ?

    Fire can still happen if you use a surge strip that isn't the right gauge of wire or can handle the amount of voltage/amp/watts that you are putting through it, especially when all the items are on at the same time. Easier to just get a small section of extension cord (6' or 8') and go up one more gauge that is in use. I have ours on a 13ga extension cord. If you use a 16 ga, then yes, it will get hot and likely will burn up...

    Whirlpool is definitely the way to go if possible, 25 yrs experience in the field speaking. Most of these other compact dryers are very poor quality

    Sounds like it could be the thermal fuse. If it is blown, the dryer will not start because the circuit is broken. A way to test it (not recommended) is to: 1. UNPLUG the dryer. 2. Unhook the wires from the thermal fuse. 3. Touch the two wires together, tape can help. 4. Plug in the dryer, and try to fire it up. If the dryer starts, the thermal fuse is blown, and needs to be replaced. DO NOT run the dryer without this fuse for extended periods of time. It is a safety measure to cut power to the dryer if it overheats, and of course without it, it could overheat freely and catch on fire.

    Will it handle comforters or is that something you really need a Full size dryer or a laundromat to do?

  • @surberboy

    @surberboy

    8 жыл бұрын

    It will, but two cycles will probably need to be ran. The comforter will need to be repositioned in the dryer before the second cycle.

    You can buy special kits that allow u to vent it inside. If u do this use a dehumidifier every time you do a load of laundry. To prevent extra moisture in the air

  • @turtleorangejc

    @turtleorangejc

    Yes as long as you have the right vent hose and lint catcher and yes it causes lint in the air or around where you use it. I have had mine over 10 years

    @@turtleorangejc your post is 4 years old so you'll probably never read this but if you do and you're still wondering you can vent your dryer vent down poured a bucket of water that will catch the lint just scooped the lint off the top of the water in the bucket every now and then it won't be in the air in your apartment if you decide to vent indoors

    I got it used at Rent-A-Center for $150. I had one other person tell me they were able to get the same deal from their local RAC as well. Pretty good deal since these go new for around $600.

    Ford Is Best. I read it was something to do with the cost of the copper content in the motor core, and the full-sized ones have a lot less since they run on 220. I know the one I have was no feather to carry up the steps to my apt. Ha ha!
