WhipAddict: 96' Impala SS Goes From LT1 to Supercharged LT4 with Suspension Upgrades at Kaotic Speed

Another swap from @Kaoticspeedinc! This time @94yne 's Black 96' Impala SS! The car came in on Forgiato Girare painted black and red with the OG style interior but with black ostrich and red stitching and its stock 5.7L LT1 motor. Now in Shane and the Kaotic crews hands it was time for some changes, starting with new suspension parts like big Baer Brakes, a new rear end and Coil overs, then the old motor trans was swapped for the new LT4 with the supercharger! I wasn't able to catch the final tune but I'm guessing its making around 550hp. Even added the new Dakota Dash. This was a complete drive train build for Kaotic, Nicely done!

We are all wishing that motor was in our Impala's. Nice job, Wheels are not my taste but to each his own.

I understand y ppl swap motors but at that point is it still an 96 ss🤔
One of the best builds I’ve seen and I’ve owned one with some work...
When I read "LT4" I'm thinking he is just swapping a 90's LT4 motor or heads with blower. When I saw THEE LT4, my jaw dropped. This is clean as hell!!!!

You know if you need head lights and have an impala it’s easier to get them from caprice. This what I wanted to do to mine ima keep the stock wheels though. Excellent car wish I could see it in person

So this is actually a impala so conversion. One of the biggest giveaways is the rear end. Look at the bumper and also the chrome ring around the tail lights. Not a big deal still dope just a capala or clone.

So he bought a Caprice and changed everything including the Floor Shifter and All BBody Caprices have Digital dash not Analog.

@@WhipAddictKZread yes, probably a wrecked 96 ss and gutted it and used the transmission. Its still a 96le just a floor shift not a colum. Also the 96ss had a analog dash not digital.

@@Aquatiq Its a 96' dude. There's nothing you can show me that will make you right lol. I know the owner and he's had the car 10 years. Nobody swaps an SS floor shift into a Caprice. Doesn't even make sense to do. The amount it would cost to do what u said u can by an Impala SS. Plus... did u see a Digital dash in this car? You only repeated what I said lol.

@@WhipAddictKZread unless its been wrecked thats not a 96 rear end. Street trends use to have a clone conversion kit. I been out the car game for 10 years but I do know caprices. My daughters name is caprice 😅

Don’t have to be an impala, show love to the caprice. Dropped a motor in it that surpasses what an impala did anyway🤷🏾♂️ digital dash didn’t come in impalas. Came in caprices though.

Digital Dash did come in 94-95 Impala SS's. Caprice have no floor shifter... even a 96' Caprice

Digital dashes did come in impalas 94-95 96 was the only one with analog gages. All caprices have digital dash gages 94-96. 91-93 had analog gages

Its no way on God's green earth you can tell a caprice from an ImpalaSS just by looking. The ImpalaSS was made off a caprice body. Even the title says caprice.
