The Moment Ravish Ji started singing "Sare Jahana Se Acha" during the call with a man, I cried at that moment. How a person functioning with that kind of pressure. I really respect for the work he and all the people who are doing the work❤

I was moved by this documentary when I watched it at the IFC center. I was in NY for a vacation and when I heard that Ravish's documentary was screening I was without a doubt that I will make sure to watch it. After watching it, I was left thinking and anxious about what we are doing and where we are heading as a country during the remaining time I had left in NY. This documentary leaves you sad, anxious, helpless and angry. But, it's something which all responsible citizens need to feel today, it's the need of the hour. When I met Ravish and Vinay on the day, I couldn't even believe how serene and humble Ravish's personality was. I never imagined it was so easy to talk to such a big and prestigious person. He stood outside the IFC center speaking to people for more than 30 mins even when his car was waiting on the roadside in the busiest of New York city. Speaking to Vinay, I recall him mentioning the same fact which he said today, that no distributor has contacted him from India yet but he is hopeful. It may take time for this documentary to reach the masses, but I hope it reaches soon and I am confident it will hit them hard. Thanks Deshbakht for bringing this interview and covering the importance of the topic of status of press today in India, I was moved again. Yet again today, it left me almost with tears how he said that kisi ne mujhe 2 rupay ka column bhi likhne k liye offer nahi kiya NDTV k baad... Lots of love and support ❤️

Couldn't resist and now feeling guilty after having watched the film on youtube without paying for it. How do I contribute to Vinay Shukla's great effort in making this documentary? Its sad that he couldn't find any distributor for the film and I am sure it is due to the current prevailing atmosphere in India

Sir, I really loved this frank interview. I stopped watching NDTV..the only channel I used to watch after I found it making news worded with praises and pomps for the ruling government. I watch Ravishji channel and Abhisar Sharma. I watched While we Watched 2 days back fully in KZread. Somehow cried when the lady producer left and when Ravishji went into rooms being torn down. I wondered what he would have gone through. I am all praise for passion and courage of Vinay Shukla who knew his task and was focussed about it all. your interview has brought both my favourite icons on a single stage and answering all the questions I had in mind. Kudos to all of you!!

Vinay's comparison of Ravish's team in NDTV newsroom with the bandsmen standing tall while the the Titanic was sinking, is heartbreaking and yet so true. Thank you Akash and team for sharing this.

Vinay Shukla is so clear in what he wants to convey. Each sentence that came out from his mouth was reasonable. I hope we see more people like Ravish Kumar and Akash Banerjee

A fantastic journey! Vinay Shukla deserves all the praise and accolades not only for his foresight but also for pursuing the matter for 5 long years, obviously without any knowledge of how things will turn out. A MUST SEE interview.

I'd go as far as to say this is real-life Jawan. Salute to the entire team.

I was in tears when I finished watching the documentary. It was hard to watch what really happened. I cannot even fathom the amount of effort and courage it takes to stand against the tide. ♥️ Thank you for inspiring, Ravish ji and thank you Akash for covering this interview.

It is only available as a PBS POV documentary (S36E07), but that too is only available to stream in the US, Canada and Northern Mexico.

In past Lok sabha election I supported modi,bjp, after watching desh bhakt,dhruv rathi,ravish kumar,newslaundry,the wire KZread videos I realized all my mistakes,in this election I have decided to support India alliance parties to save India's democracy, Constitution,I don't support elected dictatorship,in India compared to bjp Congress is very good political party,now I have understand this fact

Lots of love and respect to Aakash sir and Vinay shukla ji for giving us just a glimpse of a difficult journey of a true journalist . I can imagine there is far more hardship than this during his entire life of journalism. Be strong and be brave . You people are hope of our country 🙏

India should think where are we heading we need powerful media we need more journalists like ravish sir who honestly questions the govt whatever party it is sad to see how genuine issues are being diverted and aam admi is getting suffered...
