While the left win in the UK and France, most of the EU is moving hard-right

While France avoids a right-wing landslide, the European Parliament recognises a new nationalist force led by Hungary's Victor Orban, prompting questions about whether left-wing forces in France and the UK can counterbalance Europe's rightward shift and what leadership Europeans truly prefer.

Not really correct. Le Pens' National Rally got 10,110,013 votes in the second round, beating Macrons party group with 6,692,365 votes and the Left wing with 7,040,232 votes, who got 2, 000, 000 votes less than in the first round - but the NR got fewer seats in Parliament due to the electoral system, and the cohabitation between Macron and the left!

If you mean by Hard Right a Europe that is prepared to put it's own people first the we are talking Nationalism. This view does not make people xenophobic it is just putting one's own patriots first. That has to be welcomed.

What went on in France was a conspiracy to deny the French voters the right to have the government of their choice, that is not democracy, even if is not illegal. As for the UK the voting system has not changed in 200 years, when the only way to travel was by horse and kart, and the large number of people could not read or right. Hence 4 million votes equal to just 5 seats.

Don't be silly. Nationalism and populism lead to selfishness and greed. America first or Italy first won't work. Imagine a bunch of anarchists saying ME first like Orban the whole of Europe would fall apart! Border disputes and self interest lead to wars. We've had enough of wars in Europe thankyou.

The French electoral system uses the tried and tested divide and conquer strategy to divide and weaken French voters as and when required by it's ruling/political class designers to retain their power and control. Hopefully the French people eventually achieve the necessary level of cohesion to break free of this contrived ruling/political class entrapment. In the meantime, the French people will experience even more political, economic and social chaos. The same is true (albeit via less complicated political forms) for the people of the UK and the U.S.

From Edirne City to İgdir , the distance is 1800 kms.
