Which washing machine is right for me? Difference between top and front loaders?
Both front loading and top loading washing machines have their fair share of advantages and disadvantages.
Traditional top loaders wash your clothes in a vertical tub that’s easy to load and unload. This can be a real benefit if you have a bad back. Plus, it’s simple to pause a top-loader’s wash mid-cycle, pop open the lid and add or remove an item - perfect for if you left a sock out of the wash, or you have to rescue your mobile phone from your jeans pocket. Top loaders tend to wash your clothes more quickly than front loaders, and often have more cold-water wash options, which can help reduce wear and tear on certain fabrics while saving energy.
However, the wash action of top loaders isn’t always as efficient as that of front loaders, as it tends to use more water and energy. Plus, top-loaders with agitators can catch and tangle on your clothes, leading to more wear and tear.
Front loaders wash your clothes in a horizontal drum. Because their wash action is assisted by gravity, they usually provide a gentle and thorough wash while using less energy and water than a top loader. They can also make efficient use of detergent, and their high spin speeds mean your clothes can spend less time on the line or in the dryer. Plus, many front loaders come in compact designs that help save space in your laundry, especially when combined with a stacked or wall-mounted dryer.
However, front loaders usually require you to crouch down or bend over to load or unload your clothes, which is no good for anyone with a dodgy back. They also traditionally have longer wash cycles than many top-loaders, though modern designs often include special Quick cycles for refreshing smaller loads in a hurry.

I hope one day, I'll be able to buy my Mom her own washing machine. This will help her so much. We're currently washing our clothes using hands.
Top loaders with no agitators are actually just as gentle as a front loader
I like my top loader better because it is 5.8 cubic feet and front loaders are worse because they get mold easier and it cleans better with poopy under wear if you have kids that have special needs. Front loaders are bad for kids who accidentally have accidents because they don't use enough water
Front loader, no question... Top loaders don't wash as good, and if you have an agitator, it damages alotta clothes... So, yeah, front loader..
Obviously you don’t have a bad back. Top loaders are harder if you have back trouble, as I do. Get a front loader and mount it on a plinth.
She knows what she is talking about.... I like when videos have real useful content...rather than ... I fed my cat to my dog and it took me a day and a half to film ...or watch me change my cloth...cuz my life is so boring...I got nothing else to do ...

but many review says top loader consumes less water.. and front loader need a continuous water connection to the tub.

the front load are more efficient but take more time and less loads to wash compared to top load, if you have big family, then it's better to use top load machines, otherwise use front load machine

@@taab84That isn’t true either. Most machines top out at 10kg, irrespective of which way they load. Top loaders are usually a bit cheaper to buy, unless you’re silly enough to fork out thousands for an expensive American machine but they are usually so large you won’t have room in your laundry for anything else.

Top loaders are worse for your clothes, especially if they have agitators because those can rip them and they dont clean them as well

OfficialMichellemarie 26 The case of clothing damage is negligible. In the US we used these for decades. If the design was so horrid they would have stopped producing or found other ways to get the clothes clean. Agitator top loaders are great at cleaning. I have NEVER had any clothing ripped or frayed in any of my top loaders.

I've never got clothes ripped in a top loader plus some top loaders come without the agitator now. Front loaders are more expensive .

I can vouch for that!! My new top-loader machine has decimated all my clothes, elastic band of my underwears are all loosen now.
So I think top loaders are better
Well, that was a total waste of time.
